CHAPTER 3

MILA POV….

I first peep outside opening a door a little. I hope those two devils won’t be standing here or else I would die in embarrassment. When I saw outside, I saw no one. I took a deep breath and came outside but they would be downstairs for sure and then what will I say?

I will handle Sammy by beating her if she teases me but what to do with Aru? I am her Bhabhi so I can beat her too. Problem solved.

I started to walk and from upstairs I saw mom, dad, Aradhna, Samantha and Shaurya sitting in the living room. I went downstairs and mom saw me.

“Good Morning Mom and Dad, Good morning everyone.” I wished everyone and touched mom and dad’s feet for their blessings.

“God bless you, my child, keep smiling always,” Both of them gave me their blessings together. Mom started to look behind and dad sits on the couch.

“What happened, mom, what are you looking at?” I asked her.

“She is looking at her Nawabzaada,” Dad said looking at his newspaper and smiling.

Mom made a face that makes me smile. Dad looked at her face and gave her his sheepish smile to which mom rolled her eyes.

“Mom, he is bathing. Will come soon.” I said and mom nodded through her eyes.

“Shaurya, where is Sia?” I asked him but before he could reply we all heard a voice coming from upstairs.

“Mr Shaurya Khanna, today I will kill you with my own hands.” We all heard Sia is shouting. We all go near the stairs and saw her fuming in anger. Her eyes are looking angrily at her husband. I saw Shaurya gulping his saliva by looking at her. Now what he did do to make her angry?

“Sia? What happened bacche? Why are you look so angry?” Dad asked her while she was struggling to come downstairs. She is wearing a maternity grey colour one piece which was designed for me. Shaurya went upstairs to carefully make her come downstairs but before he touch her shoulder she hits him hard. In the meantime, Arav also comes downstairs and looks at both of them who are standing there. Arav stood beside them

“What happened, guys?” Arav asked both of them to which Shaurya just shrugged his shoulder and Sia again hit him on his shoulder.

“Damn woman, don’t hit me again and again,” He hissed in pain.

“I will kick your ass. Get out of my sight otherwise, I will burn all your hair.” She said angrily, Shaurya’s eyes got widened and Arav laughed so hard at her statement that dad and mom also started to laugh looking at them Sammy, Aru and I started to laugh.

“Haslo, Haslo. Mere Dard pe sab haso. Taras thodi na aara h Kisi ko mujh pe. (Laugh, laugh. You all laugh at my pain. You don’t even pity me.) He said while huffing to which Sia punch him in the cheeks.

“God woman stop hitting me,” He shouted and Sia started to cry. We all stopped laughing.

“Is this the way to talk with your wife young man?” Dad shouted angrily.

“She is carrying your child and you are shouting at her. This time what did you do?” Mom asked Shaurya angrily.

“Arav, please help me and take me downstairs.” She said and Arav hold her by her shoulder and helps her to come downstairs. I and Sammy helped her to sit on the couch. Aradhna went to the kitchen to take a glass of water for her. Mom and I sit beside her

“What happen my child? What did he do this time?” She asked softly, wiping her tears

“Mom, I told him to order some pizza for me but he didn’t order it. I told him that I want to go outside for some time this morning but he didn’t take me outside. I then told him to not go office today as I was not feeling good but he still went after making me sleep. He never listens to me,” Sia said and started to cry. Just then Aradhna came and gave me a glass of water which I made her drink a little.

Mom and Dad look at him angrily. I, Sammy and Aradhna raised one eyebrow, looking at him and asking him with our eyes ‘Now you are so gone’ Arav put his both hands on his waist and looked at him with squinted eyes while he is just looking here and there and not facing us.

Dad went near him and holds his ears tightly to which he hissed.

“Khotte da puttar (You donkey) meri beti ko rula dia, meri beti ko pizza ni khilaaya, ghumane ni le gya or upar se office or chala gya Sunday ke din. Teri to khair nahi hai aaj.” Dad said twisting his ears more to which he jumped high.

(You first make my daughter cry, then you didn’t fulfil her pizza craving, you didn’t take her outside for a walk and also you went to the office and that to be on Sunday. Now are so gone today.)

“Dad sorry. But I thought that too much pizza is not good for the baby and I didn’t take her outside because I thought that it will not be safe for her. I went to the office early. I thought I will come home soon, there was an important meeting at the office. Trust me, dad, I was not in the mood to go but had to go so….” Shaurya explained to everyone to which dad left his ear.

“He is right actually. Fast foods are not good for babies and Sia. Also, it was not safe to go outside and it was important to work. So, I forgive you.” Dad said patting his shoulder.

Everyone in the living room gets a frown. Mom stood up from her seat and came near him while smiling. Suddenly mom started to beat Shaurya and then holds his and Dad’s ear tightly and twisted it.

“What’s there so forgive him? Huh?” Mom said to dad while twisting his ear more.

“And you Mr, Sia are having your child in her womb so it’s your duty to fulfil her cravings. Too much is not good I also know that but it’s also not in our hands. Also, you could take her outside for a walk, it will lighten her mood and also will take some fresh air and fresh air is good for both of them. You would be with her so how on earth would be in danger? And for office work, I already told you to take some leaves for months and if there will be any meetings that are important then we all will handle it but no, you need to go outside and do your office work.” Mom said twisting their ears more to which they both shouted

“Aaaaa…mom…. I am sorry, please forgive me.”

“Sakshi, his wife is pregnant so scold him, beat him. Why are you beating me?” Dad complained to which he was awarded a tight slap on his shoulder.

“You took the side of your fellow son.” She said and took a seat beside Sia.

“Sia, whenever you want to eat you will call me okay.” Mom said wiping her tears

“Or you can call me. What if mom will be busy during that time beating her son and husband then I will help you” I said to which everyone started to laugh. Shaurya and Dad made a crying face to which everyone again laughed.

“Okay, now it’s time for Aarti. Mila and Arav first you both do Aarti at home then we all go to the temple. It’s our house ritual; whenever a new couple gets married they go to the temple and make a wish there so that your marriage life will go smoothly.” Mom said while I smiled and looked at Arav who already looking at me. He winked at me in front of everyone and my eyes got widened.

“Ahem-Ahem…. You both can do your romance inside of your room.” Sammy said sitting beside me and I am sure Sia also heard what Sammy said that’s why she is giggling beside me.

“Whatever,” I said and rolled my eyes.

“You guys sit here for then I will go and prepare a plate for Aarti,” Mom said standing up and about to go when Dad also stood up

“I will also help you,” he said

“Awww,” We all said it together to which both of them blushed.

“Shut up,” Mom said having a blush on her cheeks and they both went from the living room.

Shaurya comes and sits on his knees and holds his both ears saying sorry to her. Sia made a pout to which he kissed her and she blushed after we hoot.

I stood up and went near Arav. He holds me by my waist and kissed me on my forehead.

“You know what; you are looking the most beautiful and gorgeous.” He said making me blush.

“You also do not look that bad Mr Khanna.”

“Well, this Khanna of yours is smart, dashing, hot, charming, sexy and whatnot.” He said holding his collar making me roll my eyes.

“Bro, you started again?” Aru said hitting his head slightly. Before he hits her Sammy hit his head from another side of his side

“Bro, slow down. You are not that handsome and sexy and all that. It’s your good luck that you got a beautiful wife or else…..” Sammy said and rolled her eyes.

“You…you both the devils. I think you both are ready for marriage.” Arav said irritatingly.

“Well, bro, we aren’t going to leave you that easy.” Aradhna said putting one hand on his shoulder I sit on the single couch and giggled at their brother-sister antics.

“She is right bro. We aren’t going anywhere soon. First, we will disturb your romance time, then play with our Shaurya bhai baby, then we will play with your baby then we will spoil them then we can think of our marriage” Sammy said putting her one hand on his other shoulder to which he jerks and both lost their balance and fall down on the floor.

“How will you gonna play with my baby when you both the devils aren’t going to do romance,” Arav said and sit on the handle of the couch where I am sitting. This sentence of his made me blush. So I hit him gently.

Oh god, please save me from this embarrassment. I thought and hide my face with my hand.

“Someone is blushing here.” Here comes another teasing session.

“You are the one who left behind. Now start your teasing session as well.” I said sarcastically to Sia and she is giggling and hugged her husband.

We all were laughing and teasing when I saw Aradhna on her phone and texting someone smilingly.

“Aru,” I said to which she hummed and all of our notice goes to Aradhna now who doesn’t even know that we are seeing her.

“To whom are you talking smilingly?” I said and her eyes popped out and look at me. Then she realizes that everyone is looking at her only.

“Th-that, actually…. I-I am talking with Rehana, my friend,” she said and started to stammer.

“Who is this Rehana?” Shaurya asked while frowning and the same goes with Arav

“I never heard about her. Who is she?” He asked making her gulp

“Bh-bhai, you both don’t know her. She is now in college actually.” She said to which I and Sia share a glimpse of each other and smirk. Because we know who is this Rehana.

“Well, don’t worry guys, I know who is this REHANA,” Sia said making her eyes come out of her eye socket

“Yeah, of course, even I met HER. She is naughty but sweet too,” I said to her making Sia laugh

“When do you both meet?” Shaurya and Arav both asked at the same time.

“In both of our weddings,” Sia and I said at the same time and Aradhna started to cough.

Samantha gives her a glass of water and she drinks in one go. Then we all heard the phone call ring. It was Samantha’s.

She checked the caller ID.

“Who is it?” Shaurya asked

“From office bhai. I will attend this call.” Samantha said and excused herself.

“Everyone, come here.” We all heard mom’s shouting. It’s time for Aarti.
