omniscient Narrative

Aries opened the folder, revealing glossy photographs and messages.

A sick feeling curled in Kai's belly as visuals filled the space.

There was Vincent, his husband, laughing, kissing, lost in a world separate from the one he thought they shared.

Just in the photos, Kai could already feel the betrayal, each image a knife twisting deeper into an open wound.

One by one, Aries revealed the photos, each intimate moment a dagger that shattered the little bit of trust Kai had clung to.

There was Vincent at a brightly lit bar, cozying up to a figure that Kai recognized all too well—his older brother. Aries wasn't lying at all, Kai looked at the picture, then to his brother and back to the picture, the betrayal cut deep, deeper than anything Kai had ever known.

"No... No....no... this can't be real," Kai whispered, his heart racing as he tried to back away from the file spread before him, as if physically moving away could erase the pain laced within those images.

How could his own brother do this to him.

Aries leaned in closer, his voice tauntingly soft. "But it is real, Kai. This isn't just a one-off, oh no! This—this is the real Vincent, the man who you thought would love and protect you."

Aries showed the older man more pictures, it was screenshots of sequence of messages scrolled by, dirty and filthy, exposing intimate details of secret meetings, but this time it wasn't just ones with Derek, but also with Robert.

Kai's breath caught in his throat, emotions boiling over like a dark tide. "Why... why are you showing me this?" he choked out, feeling the betrayal drown him. "What do you gain from tearing me apart?" He couldn't believe his eyes, he looked back to the injured bodies hanging on the wall.

What had he done to deserve all this?
