ADELINE
I stood in front of the fogged-up mirror, my damp hair cascading over my shoulders as I dried it with a soft towel.
I was lost in my thoughts, the serenity of the moment wrapping around me like a comforting embrace. My thoughts only included Luciano in them.
The soft patter of water from the bathroom faucet was the only sound in the room until a faint rustle behind me made me freeze. My heart skipped a beat as I saw his reflection in the mirror—Luciano.
His presence was unmistakable, and I gasped softly when his strong arms slid around my waist, pulling me against him.
“Luciano,”
I whispered, my voice a mixture of surprise and warmth. A blush rose to my cheeks as he buried his face in the crook of my neck, his lips pressing gentle kisses against my bare skin.
The heat of his touch sent a shiver down my spine, and I couldn’t help but smile. His touches felt soothing, a solution from all the problems.
I turned to face him, my eyes meeting his, and for a moment, the world around us ceased to exist. His hand found the back of my neck, his fingers tangling in my hair as he leaned in.
Our lips met in a kiss so passionate, so full of unspoken promises, that it left me breathless. When I finally pulled away, my chest heaving, I looked up at him, my eyes questioning.
“Will you leave me again?”
I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. There was some kind of fear inside me and I wanted confirmation. Confirmation from him so I can heal from the wounds he gave me before.
Luciano’s gaze softened, his expression earnest as he shook his head.
“Never,”
he said firmly, his voice carrying the weight of a vow. Without warning, he swept me off my feet, his hands gripping my waist as he lifted me effortlessly.
“Luciano!”
I gasped, shocked as he placed me on the edge of the table, my legs dangling. I looked at him wide-eyed, my heart racing as he stepped closer, his hands resting on either side of me.
“You’re not going anywhere,”
he teased, his voice low and playful.
I couldn’t help but laugh, the sound filling the room.
Suddenly, Luciano lowered his head and my breath hitched as Luciano pressed soft, lingering kisses along the curve of my bare shoulder.
His lips were warm against my skin, sending shivers coursing through my body. I tilted my head back, my eyes fluttering closed as I gasped, the sound escaping my lips like a melody.
My fingers instinctively reached for him, my nails grazing his back as I moaned softly, each kiss igniting a fire within me that burned brighter with every passing second.
Luciano’s grip on my waist tightened, his movements growing more fervent, more passionate. He buried his face in my neck, his teeth grazing my sensitive skin, and I felt the world dissolve into the heat between us.
This was what I needed. Him.
Every minute, every second, everywhere all the time.
My toes curled, my body arching instinctively toward his touch, every inch of my feeling cherished and loved.
“Luciano…”
I whispered breathlessly, my voice trembling with emotion. He pulled back for a moment, his dark eyes locking onto mine, filled with an intensity that made my heart race.
Without a word, he leaned in again, his lips claiming mine in a kiss that was both tender and hungry.
All of a sudden, The door burst open, slamming against the wall with a force that made both of us jump. Luciano spun around, his body instinctively shielding me as he turned to face the source of the intrusion.
Standing in the doorway was Aurora, her face frozen in shock. Her eyes darted between the two of us, her expression a mixture of disbelief and something else— relief and happiness.
“Aurora…”
Luciano’s voice was low, cautious, as if testing the waters. His body remained protective, his arm still around Adeline as I clutched the towel to my chest, my cheeks flushed crimson.
Aurora blinked, her lips parting as if to speak, but no words came out. Instead, a cheeky smile appeared on her lips making me smile.
“I didn’t mean to—”
she started, her voice trembling with excitement before she cut herself off, shaking her head.
“I’ll… go,”
she muttered, spinning on her heel and slamming the door shut behind her.
I looked at Luciano, my heart pounding as he whispered,
“What was that about?”
Luciano an his fingers through his hair in frustration but I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards me making him look at me with concern.
“ she knows “
“ what? “
Luciano looked at me in disbelief and I bit my lower lip in nervousness before Pulling him and wrapping my arms around his neck, letting the towel slip from my body.
“I’ll explain everything later. I promise.”
He looked at me clearly not expecting such thing. I smiled before holding his cheek and rubbing my thumb over his lower lip.
He was what I needed and I was not going to let him go even if it costed me anything. Even my life.
“ don’t leave me “
He lowered his gaze to my chest making y cheeks to warm up as he smirked before picking me up making me wrap my arms around him before kissing him.
