Deal with the devil
As we were laughing and discussing, Anthony was in the lair of an assassin lord, planning my demise.
… … ……
In a dimly lit room, the weak light from a flickering bulb made strange shadows on the old wallpaper. The air smelled musty, like the room was keeping secrets. Dust floated in the light that barely reached the worn-out furniture.
The room had old, mismatched chairs and a creaky table, showing signs of secret meetings. The window, covered with torn curtains, let in just a bit of outside noise. It felt like a hidden place for quiet conversations.
Combo, the mysterious assassin leader, sat in the shadows against one wall, making him look mysterious.
Anthony, tired and burdened, looked worn. His face showed the struggles he'd faced.
Anthony poured out his grievances to Combo, the assassin lord. The air was heavy with the stench of desperation and betrayal.
"I can't take it anymore," Anthony confessed, frustration etched across his face. "You wouldn't believe the humiliation I endured from my wife. She insults me without mercy, and now Anita is ruining everything. I had everything planned for Angela's wedding, and Anita came in like a storm, disrupting everything!"
Combo, reclining in a shadowy corner, listened intently, a predatory gleam in his eyes. "Tell me more, Anthony. I'm here to listen and offer a solution. Family troubles can be the perfect cover for our business.
Anthony continued, recounting the humiliation he endured at the hands of his wife and the intrusion of Anita into Angela's wedding plans. Combo, sensing an opportunity to exploit the family turmoil, nodded sympathetically.
"I've had enough of this disrespect. I want them both out of the picture, especially Anita," Anthony declared, his voice tinged with bitterness. "I need your help, Combo. What do I have to do?"
Combo leaned forward, a sinister smile playing on his lips. "I have a plan, Anthony. Together, we'll make sure Anita pays for her interference, and settle scores.
But remember, this comes at a cost."
As Anthony listened to Combo's proposal, little did he realize the dark path he was about to tread, had consequences that he couldn't bear.
"If I do all these for you, what will I gain in return?" The Assassin's leader asked, and Anthony kept quiet.
"I will give you anything you ask for," Anthony promised him, and the man smiled.
"Anything I ask for…… hmm, sounds interesting. Well, what I want is simple. I want your daughter!" He replied and father smiled menacingly.
"She is all yours! Make sure you take your time and treat your prick well," Anthony replied, and they both laughed mischievously.
"What else do you want, and I promise to get it done!?" Anthony asked Combo.
Combo looked at Anthony with a sinister grin, his eyes revealing the cruelty within. "I want three-quarters of your oil business wealth, and I want you to make it look like you willingly shared it with me. No tricks, no games. Do we have a deal?"
Anthony hesitated for a moment, contemplating the cost of this sinister pact. Finally, he nodded, sealing the dark agreement. "Deal. Once my daughter is out of the picture, you'll get what you want."
