Chapter 44 Chapter 44) Hallucinating?
Priscilla returned to her bedroom, as she didn't want to stay in Alejandro’s bedroom.
The sight of him disgusted her, and it was even more disgusting for her if she remained in his room.
What she did next after arriving in her bedroom was to go and sit down on the bed, as she felt very weakened, as if her entire energy had been drained out of her body.
She couldn't stop herself from thinking about Demira, and that alone was eating her up.
“Will he be able to bring you back?”.
She muttered and was thinking about Jonathan's true ability.
If by any chance he was able to bring Demira back to her, she was certain that she was going to repay him.
“What am I going to do?”. She asked herself and rubbed her palms on her face.
Just then, she heard a knock on the door, and before she could tell the person to come in, the door pushed over and Alejandro walked in and was accompanied by Doctor Jonathan.
‘I should have known’. She thought, as she figured out that since it was his home, he could do whatever he wanted, like come into her room without her permission.
Though, she did not have the time to argue with him. Neither was she in the right mood to argue with him.
She simply wanted Demira back, and that was her top priority.
Everything else did not matter to her at this point.
But, she wouldn't lie. She had her doubts.
Doctor Jonathan was an ordinary werewolf doctor, so, how would he be able to help her bring Demira back or know what went wrong?
She doubted that he would be able to do anything about it.
Nevertheless, she maintained quietness even after Alejandro and Doctor Jonathan stood next to her.
“Greetings, Luna Demira”. Doctor Jonathan said to her, but she did not answer him, nor bothered to tell him that she was not Demira but Priscilla, her wolf.
Also, with the name he had called her, she understood that Alejandro had not yet told him what was going on with her, making her stare at him with a frown on her face.
‘Why didn't you tell him before you came here? Must you make me talk? Can't you see I am not in the mood for that?’. She thought to herself and didn't stop frowning.
‘What is going on?!’. Jonathan thought because of the way Priscilla was staring at Alejandro. And although the look on his face remained calm and professional, that was not the same case with his mind.
And that was not the same case with his wolf, who exclaimed because of what he was seeing.
Someone dared to frown at their Lycan King, and he did absolutely nothing to her but remained quiet, as if he was not in any way affected.
Was this the same Lycan King they knew?
Was this the same Lycan King who destroys anyone who messes with him?
What the heck were they seeing right now? Could they be hallucinating?
But, he didn't sense any hallucinating medication in the room. So, what the hell was going on?
He cleared his throat as he could feel his body become hot, as what he had seen was enough to put pressure on his body.
“Why are you delaying? Do your job”. Alejandro’s words snapped him back to reality and made him remember his purpose for coming to meet the Luna.
Without hesitation, he kept his medication bag on the floor and opened it, before taking a few pieces of equipment out of it.
But first, he said to Priscilla, “Your hand, please”.
The frown on Priscilla’s face deepened. ‘What do you need my hand for? Did I want you to treat me? I want you to bring my Demira back!’.
Despite having that thought inside her mind, she gave him her right hand, and he took it as he checked her pulse.
“Hmm”. Jonathan reacted with his eyes shut as he read her pulse.
Amidst the silence, Priscilla and Alejandro’s gazes locked onto each other.
They were staring at each other, and none of them blinked while at it.
A few seconds later, Jonathan was done reading her pulse and was about to tell them that everything was alright, but he froze right at that second and did not say anything because of what he saw.
How Priscilla and Alejandro were staring at each other, and how the atmosphere surrounding them grew cold, inhumane, and unbearable.
‘Di- did they want to fight?!’. He thought, causing a drop of sweat to slide down his temple.
He began to tell himself that this was the wrong time for him to be in the room. But, what could he possibly do about it?
He couldn't just leave now.
“How is she?”. Alejandro asked him, and for a moment, his heart skipped a beat and that almost made him have a heart attack, but after that, he had to compose himself.
He answered, “She is alright, Lycan King Alejandro. But, her pulse is a little weak. She needs to rest for a couple of days, before she will be completely healed”.
“I don't have time for that”. Priscilla shot a glare at him and said to him after she heard his words, which made her annoyed.
How could she rest for a couple of days doing nothing when she had a debt to collect?
“But, Luna Demira-”.
“I am not Demira but her wolf. Stop calling me that. Didn't you notice the difference already?”. She asked and felt irritated, just like always.
Jonathan was taken aback, but that didn't last for long because he began to imagine something.
He could tell and see that she looked more irritated and angry today, compared to the last time he saw her when she was awake.
Other than that, there was this cold air that was surrounding her.
How could he not be able to tell from the start that it wasn't Demira?
“Oh. My apologies, Luna-”.
“Call me Priscilla. Just, Priscilla”.
