Chapter 31 Chapter 31) Know your place.
“Are you going to leave on your own, or do you want me to throw you out myself?”. Demira asked, and as she spoke, her voice started low, but ended dangerously cold, and was enough to send chills down the spines of everyone present inside the room.
It got to a point, and Kira halted.
Not actually because she wanted to, but because her back came in contact with the wall.
Also, her gaze was fixed on Demira's eyes, but she lost courage and kept on looking away most of the time, because Demira's cold gaze looked like something straight from hell.
She wondered where Alejandro found such a person to become his Luna.
“How dare you treat me this way?”.
She found the courage to say something after telling herself inside her mind that Demira was not some kind of pushover whom she could boss around like she pleases. Compared to the gentle Tessie.
Demira smirked upon hearing her question.
She then applied force and grabbed the back of her head, and her face leaned closer as she whispered to her ear, “Did you not hear what I said? Or do you really want me to deal with you myself?”.
“Look here, I don't care to know who you are, or what you are”.
“Neither do I care about who your father is, or what his position is in the moonlight pack. One thing I know for certain is that, if you ever dare enter my bedroom again without my permission, or be disrespectful towards me, I will make sure that not even your so-called father can save you”.
“So, you had better know your place, if you know what is good for you”.
‘What’s this?!’. Kira gritted her teeth, and she could hear her heart pounding fast like something that wanted to explode.
Not able to withstand the pressure any longer, she shoved Demira out of the way.
“This isn't over!”. She declared, as she hurried out of the bedroom without daring to look back.
There was something about Demira that gave her chills.
And she hated those feelings.
‘Annoying pest’. Priscilla said, while Demira returned to sitting on the sofa.
She was aware that after tonight, her life was going to change forever.

The hotel venue for the wedding had already been prepared for the wedding.
Its setting was one of the grandest wedding settings in the world, and this left everyone thinking of how much the Lycan King loved his bride.
But, that was far from the truth.
There was only one intention as to why Alejandro permitted such a grand wedding setting. And that was to tell Demira that he now owned her legally, and could do as he pleased with her.

‘You can do this, Kate. Just don't let it show, and they will not suspect a thing’. She thought to herself after arriving at the moonlight pack border, along with some other werewolves.
Currently, she was standing in the back and was able to see how the warriors were performing a thorough check on each werewolf who wanted to come into the moonlight pack.
And she?
Her heart couldn't stop pounding, as she was anxious and could feel her body getting colder as the seconds passed.
If anyone told her some minutes ago that she was going to be like this after she arrived at the border of the moonlight pack, she was not going to believe them.
Anyway, the crowd began to lessen, until it got to her turn.
It felt like her heart skipped a beat.
Her fingers could not stop shaking, to the extent she had to hide them behind her back, as she allowed the warriors to do their job.
Usually, the moonlight pack was not a pack who appreciated visitors coming in.
But because it was a special day tonight, today was an exception.
“What's your purpose here, young lady?”. A female warrior asked.
Her long black hair was tied to the back, and she was dressed in dark brown armor, which was totally different from what the police, the navy, the soldiers, and other authorities in Paradise City wore.
“I- I am a refugee and an orphan. I escaped from Paradise City after they tried to use me for an experiment. I don't have anywhere else to go”. She stuttered as she said, while trying to avoid the warrior’s gaze as she acted pitifully.
‘Why isn't she saying anything?! Did she recognize me?! I know I am quite popular in Paradise City, but there's no way she would be able to recognize me. Not like this!’. Kate thought to herself, and although she had tried she remained calm, her mind was on fire because she was panicking and could not get herself to calm down.
She kept on wondering if the warrior had recognized her or not.
But that should be impossible, due to the way her appearance had changed.
Her hair was no longer green because she had dyed it blonde.
And her cat-like green eyes had been replaced by a pair of light blue eyes.
Other than these changes, she added some freckles' makeup on both sides of her cheeks, and some little on her nose bridge.
“Okay”. The warrior nodded at her, making her sigh in relief in her mind.
‘She hasn't found me out’. She thought.
But at that moment, the warrior added, after she began to scan her, and then her bag, using the security scanner, “How long do you plan on staying in the moonlight pack?”.
“I don't know”. She replied.
“Alright. You are cleared. Enjoy your stay in the moonlight pack”. The warrior said, and handed over to her a blue card.
She continued to explain further, “Once you get into the pack, go to the house mentioned on the card”.
“That would be your new home, and you must get your name registered. Also, during your one-month stay in the moonlight pack, your movements will be monitored. If you have a hidden agenda, and want to cause any harm to the moonlight pack, I and the other warriors would not hesitate to punish you”.
Listening to the warrior’s words, Kate nodded with a polite smile, while inside her mouth, she thought to herself, ‘Don’t worry. I won't bring harm to the moonlight pack. But the people of Paradise City had better prepare themselves for what is coming for them soon!’.
