Chapter 15 Chapter 15) Her replacement 2.
“Please, young miss. You can't send us out. I- I have been instructed to teach you everything you need to know. So I can't leave until I fulfill my duty”.
“Please, have mercy on me. Have mercy on all of us”. Felicia pleaded and bowed her head, making sure that her head was touching the ground, while her hands were trembling.
“Please have mercy on us!”. The maidservants repeated, and they were also shivering, like people who were facing death.
Actually, they really were facing death.
If Demira continued to push them away, and they did not succeed in teaching her anything before the wedding ceremony, then Alejandro was going to make them pay dearly for their failure.
Their miserable state frustrated Demira as she understood why they were being that persistent. It was because of that demon.
But, she was not ready to go through with his arrangement. Neither did she ever plan nor imagine herself getting married to him.
So, ignoring Felicia and the maidservants, she ran out of the room, only to arrive outside and saw a few sturdy looking warriors, who were standing guard outside the room, as if they knew that she was going to try to run away.
Even after what she witnessed, she tried to get past them, but her path was blocked by a grumpy looking warrior with a heftier body build than the other warriors.
“Please return to your room. You are not allowed to leave unless you assign two of the warriors to escort you”. He said to her.
“Move. You don't have the right to hold me hostage”. She demanded, but he definitely turned a deaf ear to her and did not move an inch from where he stood.
“You are making this difficult for us. Please don't let us make it difficult for you”.
“After what happened the last time, I must ensure that my fellow warriors and I don't mess up again”. He said, but Demira got confused for a second.
‘After what happened the last time? Is he by chance talking about Delilah? Was she held hostage in this damn place just like I am now?’. She thought, and her eyes darkened as she asked him, “What do you mean by that?”.
Hearing her question, the warrior realized that he had spoken too much.
To avoid putting himself in trouble, he didn't answer her question. He just said, “Please return to your room. If you need to leave, you have to get permission from the Lycan King himself”.
After saying that to her, he glanced at the warriors, and two of them nodded at him, before they grabbed her.
At that moment, Felicia and the maidservants hurried out of the room in a panic.
It was now they realized that she had left the room. They didn't even hear her footsteps when she left, and that felt odd to them.
“Unhand me at once!”. Demira quarreled with the warriors who held her.
“Young Miss, you must not leave”. Felicia panicked as she watched her struggle to free herself from the warriors’ grasp.
But the warriors? They did not flinch and made her return to the guest room, causing Felicia and the maidservants to hurry back into the room.
“If you know what is best for you, obey the Lycan King and do as he says”. One of the warriors with green hair and harsh eyes said to Demira after she was forced to sit on the bed.
Then he and the other warrior left the room, as they went ahead to continue standing guard outside the room.
‘Argh!’. Priscilla was frustrated.
Although she had wanted Demira to lie low like a shadow, this was the least twist she expected.
How could she sit back and watch Demira get married to the monster who killed their elder sister?
She could not sit back and watch that happen. But at the same time, she was left confused.
If she encouraged Demira to find a way to run away, then where was she going to run to?
‘This is too much, Demira! What are we going to do now?’. She asked as she was greatly overwhelmed. So many things have happened in their lives, and it was enough to make both of them go crazy.
“Please, young Miss. You must reconsider. Please, don't think about running away again. I beg you to have mercy on us”. Felicia pleaded, and this time, she didn't dare to let her eyes leave Demira's side. A drop of sweat even slid down her temple.
While Felicia was busy pleading with Demira, and Priscilla was busy asking Demira questions, Demira wasn't listening to any one of them.
Not when her mind was stuck thinking about the words of that warrior.
Suddenly, she stared at Felicia as she thought to herself without blinking, ‘She must have an idea about most things that have happened in this mansion’.
‘That means she must know about my elder sister and must know what that warrior was talking about’.
‘If I want to know how my sister has been treated by that lunatic, she is the right person who can tell me about it’.
‘You have to help me for me to help you, Felicia. It's a give and take’.
