Chapter 36 Runway shows
Lydia didn’t think much of it, simply nodding slightly.
“It’s a good thing you showed up in time today. I never expected Ron to become so shameless. Not long ago, he was swearing that Maggie was the one he loved the most. Now, he’s playing this game. It’s disgusting!”
Seeing Lambert silent, Lydia felt a bit embarrassed. “Sorry for letting you hear all that.”
“It’s okay!” But he wouldn’t let Ron off easy!
Lambert lowered his gaze, a cold light flashing in his eyes.
Lydia thought he didn’t want to hear about it, so she didn’t say anything else.
Music flowed gently. Lydia nestled obediently in Lambert’s arms and drifted off to sleep, feeling the warmth of his embrace. When she woke up, the car had stopped in front of an antique–style restaurant.
A warm breath brushed against Lydia’s lips briefly before departing.
A voice, as melodious as a cello, followed, “Awake? Let’s get off the car!”
Lydia looked up and saw the sign “Eleganza” hanging in front of her.
She was surprised. She had heard of this place–it was the best Italian restaurant in the country, known for its palace–style decor, and frequented by the upper class and even nobility. This place wasn’t accessible just with money.
“Eleganza” operated on a membership system, and its membership qualifications were very strict. Lydia vaguely remembered her grandfather bringing her here once when he was still alive, but it was only once.
Turning her head to Lambert beside her, Lydia felt a mix of emotions. Even though her background wasn’t bad, why did she always feel like Cinderella standing next to Lambert?
“Are you a member here?”
Lambert replied lowly, “Sort of. I’ll introduce you to someone.”
As he spoke, Lambert took Lydia’s hand and led her inside.
They entered the main hall, and Lydia was surprised to see that Lambert hadn’t even shown his membership card at the front desk before being allowed in. She was speechless.
Passing through the corridor, they reached the back of the restaurant and went up to a private room on the second floor.
Opening the door, the refreshing aroma of coffee greeted Lydia’s nose. She couldn’t help but take a deep

breath. “The coffee smells so good.”

Following the scent of coffee, Lydia saw a man who seemed to have walked out of a painting. He was sitting at the table, grinding coffee by hand, which was quite mesmerizing!
Lydia couldn’t take her eyes off the man brewing coffee until she felt Lambert’s grip on her waist tighten a bit, bringing her back to reality. She blinked and refocused her gaze.
The man chuckled and waved at Lambert and Lydia. “Lambert, you came at just the right time. These coffee beans were just delivered today. Come and have a taste!”
Lambert pulled Lydia over to sit down, and Lydia felt a bit embarrassed, realizing she was being impolite.
“Hello, I’m Lennon, Lambert’s good friend.”
“Hello, I’m Lydia.”
Lydia reached out her hand, but before her fingertips could touch Lennon’s, Lambert grabbed her hand tightly, his face turning slightly dark. “That’s enough!”
Lennon narrowed his eyes slightly, a playful smile playing on his lips. “So, Lambert, you’ve made up your mind?”
“Yes!” Lambert answered firmly, then he tightened his hold on Lydia’s waist. “She’s mine!”
Lydia blushed at Lambert’s domineering declaration. She hadn’t agreed to anything yet!
Lennon’s eyes lit up as he raised his cup. “Congratulations! I didn’t expect you to be the first among us to have a girlfriend!”
Lambert nodded slightly and took a sip. Then, what Lambert said next made Lydia’s eyes light up.
“Lennon is the owner of this restaurant. If you ever want to eat Italian food, you can come find him
anytime!”
Lennon chuckled and glanced at Lambert. “Lambert, you’re being too polite. You own half of this place, don’t you? Why push everything to me? But for this lady, naturally, I’ll give her a supreme gold card!”
With a gesture, Lennon signaled, and a girl in uniform walked in from the side door, respectfully handing a card to Lydia before quickly retreating.
“Lambert, are you satisfied?”
Lambert nodded slightly. “By the way, clear your schedule for this week.”
“What do you mean?”
“Lydia’s studio has several runway shows this week. Arrange it.”

“Got it!”
Lydia was stunned, looking at Lambert in disbelief.
Although she had signed with his company, they had many clothing brands under their umbrella, so she hadn’t expected much help in the runway department.
But she never imagined that Lambert would pay attention to this matter.
Especially recently, she had been worrying about the runway shows, running to many media outlets, either being told her brand was still too small or that the schedule couldn’t be accommodated.
But Lydia understood that the real reason was that she was new here and had no backing.
Sensing Lydia’s gaze, Lambert squeezed her hand and explained, “Lennon’s family is in the medial business, and the restaurant is just a hobby. He likes cooking.”
Lydia was surprised and touched. She murmured, “How did you know I was busy with this?”
“I know everything about you,” Lambert paused. “You may not be used to it, but I don’t want the person I like to be in trouble or be troubled by others in places I don’t know about.”
Lennon couldn’t help but burst into laughter again. He couldn’t help but feel incompetent when he saw
Lambert, the iceberg, saying such cheesy things.
Lydia blushed, suddenly realizing that perhaps Ron’s incident wasn’t a coincidence either?
Lambert’s gaze swept over coldly, and Lennon quickly covered his mouth, waving his hand. “You guys talk, you guys talk. I’ll personally go make a few dishes.”
After that, Lennon elegantly left under Lambert’s freezing gaze, leaving only the two of them in the
private room.
The aroma of coffee filled the air, accompanied by the sound of silk and bamboo, creating an indescribable sense of comfort and tranquility.
Lydia felt warm inside, spreading from the depths of her heart to her limbs and bones, Looking at Lambert’s handsome profile, she whispered, ‘Lambert, thank you”
Thank you for introducing me to your friend, thank you for letting me into your life, thank you for making me feel how happy it is to be loved.
Lambert didn’t speak, he just kissed her cheek gently, then squeezed her hand tightly.
