A week later, at the headquarters of G Group, Harlan, accompanied by Ron and Maggie, quietly entered the company through a side door.
Inside the door, a middle–aged man in his fifties had obviously been waiting for a long time.
Seeing Harlan and his companions appear, the man hurriedly approached them. “Sir, you finally came. You had me worried sick. I thought the plan was canceled!”
This man was Kent, the CFO of G Group, and also the “inside man” buried by Harlan and his team within
the company.
Previously, with the help of the prominent lawyer Kevin, Lydia successfully reclaimed her mother’s inheritance and inherited the renamed G Group.
Lydia managed to find a highly reputable manager to assist her in running the company, and immediately restructured the entire organization, replacing almost all the top executives who were formerly allied with Harlan and his team.

Harlan looked at Kent, who was smiling in front of him, and patted his shoulder. “How could that be? We’ve been planning for so long, waiting for today. Once the new company is established, you’ll still be our CFO, and you’ll also serve as the company’s vice president. I’ll even give you company shares, just as
we agreed before.”
Kent nodded eagerly, his face greedy with anticipation. “Thank you!”
Behind Harlan, Ron’s eyes flashed with disdain. Did this Kent really think that once everything was done, they would bring him into the new company?

After hanging up the phone, Lydia’s expression turned somewhat somber. “Uncle, do you think my
mother would support me if she knew everything I’ve done?”
Kevin let out a long sigh. “Don’t worry, Natalie would definitely support you! Besides, all of this is what
Harlan and his team deserve! You’re not wrong!”
Lydia lowered her gaze, but when she looked up again, her eyes held only determination and resolve. She
had no way back now!

In the finance department, Harlan carefully reviewed the documents prepared by Kent, confirming there were no issues before signing his full name on them.
Maggie looked at the documents with a beaming smile. “Congratulations, Dad! You’re about to own your own new company! The real Gilford Group is about to be born. I think we can celebrate tonight!”
Harlan’s mood was also quite good. “You’re right! I’ll call your mom later and ask her to join us. Let’s celebrate as a family.”
Kent also smiled. “Congratulations!”
Even Ron couldn’t help but look pleased. Everyone knew that Harlan was used to being the boss, and who called the shots in this new company was already a foregone conclusion.
