Chapter 18 Chapter Eighteen
Logan laughs. “That’s because you have been spending all your time with me.”
I raise an eyebrow at him. “Are you complaining?”
Logan shakes his head, giving me a serious look that has me giggling. “Not at all baby.”
“Good. I will see you tonight at the game. I will be the one cheering the loudest.” I say giving him one more quick kiss before getting out of his car and running inside the house before he has the chance to stop me.
“You and that boy next door seem to be getting pretty serious.” Mom says right as I close the front door.
I laugh rolling my eyes. “His name is Logan; mom and we are just hanging out.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry, you and Logan seem to be getting pretty serious.” Mom says throwing her hand over her chest in mock offense.
“Like I said mom, we are just hanging out.”
Mom smirks, raising an eyebrow at me. “Do you kiss everyone you are just hanging out with like that?”
“Why are you spying on me?” I ask narrowing my eyes at her and ignoring her question.
Mom smiles at me, her expression softening. “You are home late every night sweetheart I was just trying to figure out what’s going on with you.”
“Logan is my friend mom. He’s cute and fun. We are just hanging out, if that changes, I will let you know. Now I am going to get ready for the game.” I say giving her a quick hug and head towards my bedroom before she can interrogate me anymore.
Immediately after closing my door, I run to my closet and try to find something to wear. What do you wear to a football game? I don’t have anything that shows school spirit besides Logan’s hoody and Ryder doesn’t really like me wearing that. It’s pretty cold out, so I really need something warm and cute. I want to look cute for my guys.
Our school colors are burgundy, black and white. Rummaging through the back of my closet I find a burgundy sweater dress with a high enough neckline to cover Ryder’s mark. Every time his mark fades a little, he redoes it making it even darker. I pull the dress on and find a pair of thick black leggings and a pair of brown tall boots. I complete the look with a black cropped jacket that accentuates the curve of my hips and the fullness of my breasts when it’s zipped up.
I brush through my hair really quick, taming the frizz and put on a little lipstick and lip gloss. Twirling once in the mirror I give myself a ten out of ten and I am good to go. There is a knock on my bedroom door. “Come in.” I say unsure who it is.
“Hey baby.” Ryder says coming in and closing the door behind him.
“Hey.” I smile.
Ryder looks my body up and down starting at my head and going slowly over my curves all the way down to my toes and then back up. “Fuck you lot hot as hell in that dress baby.”
“Thank you.” I say, and heat creeps up my neck onto my cheeks.
Ryder comes across the room, pulling me against him. “I figured you were going to wear Logan’s hoody tonight.” I can hear the disgust in Ryder’s voice at the thought of me wearing the hoody.
I can’t help but laugh. “I thought about it, but I know you really don’t like seeing me in it.”
Ryder’s lips lift into a smile. “So, you got all sexied up for me?”
“Of course I did. I want to look good for my man.”
Ryder picks me up and spins me around making me squeal and giggle at the same time. “I love hearing you call me your man.”
“I love saying it.”
Ryder licks his lips, and I lean up to kiss him. “Good luck tonight. I’ll be cheering for you!”
Ryder kisses me again, one soft kiss on the lips. “Thank you, baby.”
There’s a knock on my door and we pull away from each other. Ryder wipes the lip gloss off has lips and my mom pokes her head inside my room. “You ready to go Lilly? Don’t want to be late for the game. Oh, Ryder, I didn’t know you were in here. Is everything okay?”
Ryder smiles. “Yep, everything is okay. Lilly was just giving me a pre-game pep talk.”
Mom smiles and I almost roll my eyes at the ridiculousness of his excuse for being in my room. “I’m glad you guys are getting along. We better get going so we aren’t late for the game.”
Ryder and I both nod, following my mom out of my room. That was close. A little too close. We will definitely have to be more careful. Last thing we need is mom and Curtis finding out we are fooling around with each other.
Curtis decides we should ride together instead of Ryder taking his car to the game, so we all climb into his SUV. Ryder and I sitting in the back. Mom and Curtis holding hands up front, being irritatingly cutesy with each other. The ride to the game is uneventful, as soon as we pull into the parking lot we are greeted with students and parents, teachers and townspeople all cheering, and screaming. The game hasn’t even started, and people are already this wound up.
Mom gives Ryder a hug and tells him good luck before we make our way to the stands. I look around, lots of kids from school are here but I don’t really know anyone besides my guys, and they are all on the field except for Aaron.
Me: Hey are you at the game?
Aaron: Yes, where are you? I will come sit with you.
Me: Me and the parents are couple rows behind the team’s bench.
Aaron: Be there in a second gorgeous.
“Who are you texting honey?” Mom says leaning over trying to peek at my phone.
“My friend Aaron, he’s going to come sit with us.”
Mom nods. “Another friend?”
“Yes mom. Is there something wrong with me having friends?”
Mom gasps. “Absolutely not honey, just don’t know why they all have to be guy friends.”
I roll my eyes. “Cause girls are skanks, and I don’t get along with them.”
Curtis laughs and my mom gives him the evil eye. “Watch your mouth Lilly.”
I roll my eyes but don’t say anything else. A couple of minutes later Aaron finds me. “Hey gorgeous.” Aaron says pulling me into a hug.
“Hey Aaron.” I say smiling. “Mom this is Aaron.”
