Chapter 141 Chapter One Hundred and Forty-One
I pull back and nod my head eagerly. "I am very excited. I have never been to one and they look like so much fun!"
Raikin laughs and cups my cheek with his hand. "I didn't think you would be this excited about it."
"Why not?" I ask, giving him a confused smile.
He shrugs and laughs harder. "I distinctly remember you screaming and hiding your face in my neck, claiming you were just tired the last time we watched a scary movie about escape rooms."
I smack his arm, giggling. "Hey! I was tired." I gasp. "Wait a second, is that why you brought me here? You were wanting to scare me?"
Raikin laughs. "No I wasn't wanting to scare you baby. If I was trying to scare you I would have taken you to the movies to see that new movie that just came out. It's supposed to be super scary. We can go see a movie if you would prefer."
My eyes go wide and I shake my head. "No, I'm good. I would much rather do this and whatever else you had planned."
Raikin chuckles, leaning over to give me a kiss. "Good baby. The escape room we are doing is special, I picked it just for you."
I smile at him. An escape room picked just for me? Now I'm really excited. "I can't wait."
"Me either baby, let's go." Raikin gets out and I open my door getting out too.
He frowns when he sees me. "I was going to open the door for you baby."
I laugh. "It's okay, you can get the next one."
Raikin shakes his head and smiles at me. "How am I supposed to act like a gentleman if you don't let me?"
I try to hide my smile, faking an apologetic look. "I'm sorry I will do better."
Raikin kisses my cheek, smiling and takes my hand in his. "You ready to try your first escape room baby?"
"Yes, I am." He leads me inside where we are greeted by a guy that I would say is around our age.
"Raikin, it's good to see you man!" The guy says and Raikin smiles.
"Good to see you too Alex." Raikin smiles and turns to me. "Lilly this is Alex, we went to highschool together."
I smile at the guy. "Nice to meet you Alex."
He gives me a friendly smile. "Nice to meet you too Lilly." Alex turns his attention back to Raikin. "Your room is ready if you guys are ready to give it a try?"
Raikin looks at me. "You ready baby?" I bite my bottom lip nervously and nod my head.
"We are ready." He smiles at Alex.
Alex gives us a big smile. "Follow me."
We walk down a long hallway and come to a red door. "This is the lovers suite. A bride so young and full of love was left at the altar by her soon to be husband. Heartbroken and full of anger she took her own life in this very room, vowing to haunt this room forever. She gives her unknowing victims one hour to escape. If they don't make it out, they will be stuck forever. You have to solve the puzzles and find the key! Good luck!"
I look up at Raikin and he smirks. Of course Raikin picked the room with the creepy ghost story attached to it. Alex opens the door and we walk in. The door clicks shut with a terrifying locking sound.
The room is a mix of beauty and haunting sadness. There is a bed in the corner of the room with a red comforter and black rose petals on it. There are vases of dead roses all around the room, a half empty bottle of champagne with a champagne glass shattered on the floor. There is a note on the table.
"Alright baby, let's look around see what we can find." Raikin says as he walks towards the bed.
I go straight to the table to read the note. It's written in cursive. Around this room you will find the letters and numbers to ask the ultimate question. Arrange them correctly and you will escape!
"This note says we need to find letters and numbers to help us escape." I tell Raikin and he nods his head opening the nightstand drawer.
"I found a 'M' and a flashlight baby." He tells me, holding up a playing card with a M on it.
He sets it on the table and turns the flashlight on, it looks like a blacklight. "There is probably a hidden message on the wall or something."
We turn off the light, leaving only a dim glow from a computer screen and start scanning the room with the light. On one of the walls there is a message. Username: LoveMeForever Password: Six digits, one kiss, the first, he was scared because he loved you!
I turn to Raikin and even in the dim light I can see he's blushing. "Wait, did you do this?"
"Yeah, I may have made a request." He chuckles nervously, blushing harder. Oh my God, is he embarrassed?
I kiss him hard, smiling at him in awe. "That is so sweet."
"I was worried you would think it was cheesy baby."
I shake my head. "No, not at all. It's so romantic. I love it."
"I'm glad baby."
"Does this mean you know how to get out of here?" I ask, genuinely curious now.
He laughs. "No, I don't. Alex made all the puzzles and stuff he just asked me some questions to get some ideas."
"Oh." I say laughing. "I guess we better get to solving these puzzles then."
I head to the computer and enter the username and the date of our first kiss for the password. It unlocks and I smile. There is another message. The day we met you changed my life, find the locked box and enter the date! Your next clue awaits!
We keep searching, finding a few more letters and a couple of numbers along the way. We find the box and unlock it. It's more letters and a key. The door is a digital lockpad so it has to be for something else. We have ten minutes left and we are looking all over the place.
Raikin finds a safe under the bed, we try the key in the lock and it opens. It's a map of the room, showing where all the letters and numbers are. We had most of them, but there was a few we didn't have yet.
We collect the rest of them and with a few minutes left we try to unscramble the message. When we finally arrange it correctly I gasp and look at Raikin.
He smiles and takes my hand in his. "What do you say babygirl?"
