Chapter 104 Chapter One Hundred and Four
Logan shrugs. "It's okay, I'm happy to be your pretend boyfriend anytime."
I pull him into a hug. "Thank you."
Logan laughs. "You're welcome, should we go inside before they come looking for us?"
I nod my head and take a deep breath. "Yep here we go." I really wish I had my phone on me right now, that way I could warn Ryder, Reece, and Raikin who will be joining us for dinner.
I open the door and we head inside. Logan leans in to whisper. "You look beautiful by the way."
I blush and whisper. "Thank you. You look very nice yourself." He does look good. He's wearing a pair of black jeans and a dark red button up shirt. In a perfect world he would make an amazing boyfriend and I would be lucky to have him. Can't choose who you fall in love with though.
We walk into the living room and everyone is already in there waiting for the two of us. Reece and Raikin's smiles drop the second they see who I'm with. Ryder turns around to look and even he doesn't look happy.
I awkwardly smile and announce to the room. "Logan is here."
Logan waves and I can feel the tension radiating off of everyone. Everyone except my mom and Curtis who don't realize the shit storm they just created for me.
Logan waves awkwardly. "Hey everybody."
Curtis gives the biggest damn smile I have ever seen. "Hey Logan, I'm glad you could make it."
I make eye contact with Reece and hope like hell he knows I didn't invite Logan to this damn dinner.
"Thank you for having me over." Logan gives him a friendly smile, but I can tell he feels just as awkward as I do.
Mom smiles. "Hey sweetie. I'm glad you are here, I know how much Lilly enjoys spending time with you."
Mom gives me a wink and I really wish I could just tell her to shut the hell up. I didn't invite Logan, I didn't even know Logan was coming here. Things are good with me and my guys, why would I invite Logan and mess everything up. Especially right before our parents leave. I have literally been counting down the days until they leave so I can spend time with them alone.
"Well don't just stand there, you guys have a seat. Reece why don't you move over here and let Logan and Lilly sit next to each other." Curtis says, pointing to the spot next to Ryder.
Reece grits his teeth and I can see the tension in his jaw. "Sure."
I give him an apologetic smile. I know the plan was for me to sit in between Reece and Raikin, that's why there is an empty seat between the two of them. That's where I want to be, I want to be between my guys. It's my new happy place, being surrounded by Reece, Raikin and Ryder makes me feel like the luckiest woman in the world.
Reece gets up and moves to the other side of the table next to Ryder. Logan and me make our way over to the table and sit down. I sit between Raikin and Logan and I can't tell who is more tense. Me or them. This has got to be the most awkward dinner I have ever been a part of in my life.
None one says anything for a long minute, and I can't take it anymore. "Should we start eating?" I ask and Curtis laughs.
"Of course, let's eat." He says and everyone starts putting food on their plates. Everyone except me, I don't even know if I can eat right now. I feel like I might throw up or something.
Everyone starts eating and I just stare at my empty plate for a minute. Logan leans over and whispers in my ear. "Hey are you okay?"
I glance up and notice Ryder, and Reece are both staring at Logan, probably because he is so close to me right now. I turn to Logan and smile. "I'm okay. Thank you for asking."
Mom stops eating. "Why aren't you eating Lilly?"
I shrug. "I'm a little sick to stomach."
Raikin puts his hand on my thigh under the table and I turn to look at him. "You really should eat baby sis, it will make you feel better." He smiles.
I nod my head. "You're probably right."
He squeeze my thigh and I smile. When I turn back towards the table I realize everyone is watching us, including Logan. I shift awkwardly in my seat. Hopefully he can't see Raikin's hand on my thigh, I haven't had the chance to tell him about anyone except me and Ryder.
I get some food and start taking small bites, Raikin leaves his hand on my thigh as we eat. Mom and Curtis ask Logan questions about his plans for college and if he is going to keep playing football when he goes to college.
Logan politely answers all the questions my mom and Curtis throw at him. I had to kick Ryder under the table at one point when he actually scoffed out loud. The look on his face was priceless.
The dinner goes on for what feels like an eternity. Just when I think it's over Mom has to open her damn mouth again. "Would anyone like dessert? We have pie, cake and brownies."
Why would they make three desserts? This dinner has gotten a little ridiculous. They are definitely over compensating for leaving the four of us alone right at Christmas. No one says anything as mom looks around the table at all of us.
