So, she got her dad’s permission and went to the port with her bodyguard.
“Back then I was just a teenager, exiled by my family to the sea to handle shipping stuff. Later, I met you at the port,” Lennon said.
“My father lost in the family fight.”
Lennon looked down at her and said softly, “My dad was supposed to deal with this mess, but he died.”
“My mom had to take care of my younger siblings, so I stepped in.”
“Things at sea were always a mess. Cruise ships often sailed into unknown waters, and it was common for people to just get dumped overboard. I was too young, and my men didn’t listen to me at all. I could barely keep myself safe. There was no way I could follow the route to explore new places.”
“Until that day, I met you.”
Lennon smiled and looked at Stephanie in front of him.
“You gave me this, told me to take it to find the Shelton Group’s people, and I’d get help.”
Lennon turned the blue/pendant over, and on the bottom, there was a tiny “time” character engraved.
Used a special font, kind of looked like a totem.
“I took it and, like you said, went to find the Shelton Group eople.

Luckily, that day I happened to run into your father, Elliot
“I got help from you and your dad.”
He said, “After a year, I finally started to pull my people together and really got some control. I think, little by little, one day, I’ll be able to control everything.”
“News traveled slowly at sea. I only found out about your father’s death a year after he passed, and I couldn’t do anything to control it.”
“I knew that only when I really became strong could I find out everything.”
The hot air balloon was floating in the air.
Stephanie looked at the pendant.
She never thought that the boy she met back then was actually the man standing in front of her today.
At that time, she really didn’t take it seriously.
She just thought, since they were from the same country and spoke the same language, when she saw him having a hard time, she just wanted to offer some help she could manage.
She reached out and gently held the pendant.
Lennon looked at her and saw the sadness in her eyes.
It was their first meeting, and they were both too young.
It was just a brief meeting.
It seemed like just a casual favor from her, but it really p him in charge.

Back then, he mostly saw her and Elliot as saviors.
He was too weak back then.
He swore that when he got stronger, he would find out the whole truth.
Later, a betrayal made him and her meet like it was fate.
The bullet in his chest didn’t kill him, but it made him fall in love with
her.
“When I was finally in control of everything and came back, you were already with him, and later, you even got married.”
“These years, I was looking into the cause of his death, but everything was confusing. Later, I found out there seemed to be an invisible hand controlling everything, stopping me from getting to the truth, so I could only wait, wait for a chance.”
A lot of people looked into Elliot’s cause of death back then, and he wasn’t anything special.
He couldn’t let anyone notice anything between him and the Shelton family.
Worried about running into more obstacles.
