Thinking about it. Roxanne reached out her hand again, wanting to help him hold the ice pack on his face.
But he avoided answering and said, “Roxanne, I know a pretty private clinic for emotional issues. Want to check it out tomorrow?”
Roxanne paused for a second before she realized what Maxwell was talking about.
Go see a psychiatrist?
She looked down at her wrist. Maybe it was because of this?
But she was fine…
Thinking about it, Roxanne tried asking for the name of that nursing home.
After she found out, she said, “Max, I need to think about it. Can I tell you tomorrow?”
Maxwell looked at Roxanne again, then nodded.
Over there outside the window, fireworks were already burning in the
open space.
Those three little dots watched from the side.
Suddenly, Maxwell felt a sharp pain in his heart.
It felt like his heart was being torn apart by something, and he could hardly breathe.

He felt like he was losing something.
Gradually, the fireworks out on the open ground burned out.
He saw those three kids leave after they cleaned up the stuff from the fireworks.
His heart just kept hurting.
This day finally passed.
It was lively all day.
It was still lively the next day.
Because the edited version of “The Ethereal Voice” was released.
Early in the morning, Conway Entertainment released a statement.
Because there were rumors about Serena and Jeremiah being brought up online again-
“Didn’t they say Serena had a miscarriage because of Jeremiah? Now that we know Serena is actually Stephanie, does that mean there’s something between Stephanie and Jeremiah?”
The statement from Conway Entertainment was a video that Jeremiah recorded-
“Before, it came out that Serena had an abortion for me’because of a leave note.”
Jeremiah spoke and took out the fake medical record from before, putting it in front of the camera.
“Back then Stephanie was badly hurt,” Jeremiah said. “I think everyone

who watched the first livestream or the clips could see her injuries
“That wasn’t a makeup effect injury, it was a real injury.”
Jeremiah explained seriously, “I was hurt so bad I couldn’t even get out of bed, so of course I couldn’t go to the rehearsal. But back then there was a confidentiality agreement, so I got another medical record to use as a fake note.”
“Then someone thought I made Serena have a miscarriage, that’s where the rumor came from.”
“I worked with Stephanie long before she married Maxwell. We just had a normal working relationship. I hope people stop spreading rumors.”
Once this video came out, although some people still talked about it, their voices were pretty quiet.
The reason was simple.
Neither Jeremiah nor Roxanne wanted this thing to get any bigger.
Jeremiah didn’t want to hurt Stephanie’s reputation, and Roxanne knew exactly how Stephanie’s baby was lost. She didn’t want anyone to notice the trick.
So, the hype about this thing died down pretty quickly.
There were new things online every day, and soon, people’s attention was drawn to something else.
On the other side.
Maxwell didn’t sleep all night.

That night, all he could think about was Stephanie.
When she was Stephanie, when she was Serena.
All kinds of situations kept spinning in his mind.
All this made him sad.
He had an urge to tell her everything right now, to say to her-“Steph, I’m sorry, it was my fault, come back to me, okay.”
But in the end, when he saw Roxanne’s message in the morning, he still held back that urge.
