Chapter 146
If Serena took all the spotlight, how was she supposed to hype this up?
So, at least the first round, she had to win the first round.
The Bentley was speeding down the road, and on the other side, Stephanie had already picked up Belinda.
Stephanie had already taken off her mermaid makeup, and at that moment she was holding Belinda’s hand, buying art supplies in the stationery store.
Belinda liked to draw, and it was because Stephanie bought Belinda’s painting that all this happened.
“Auntie Stephanie, can I buy this?” Belinda asked carefully, pointing at a set of paintbrushes.
Stephanie squatted down, patted Belinda on the head, and said softly, “Don’t be so polite with me, Belinda. Whatever you wanted to do, I’d support you.”
Belinda was happy, she liked this feeling.
But even though Stephanie said that, she didn’t just buy stuff randomly, she only took what she needed.
Stephanie saw what Belinda was thinking and felt even more tender toward her.
Belinda had a ventricular septal defect in children, which was a type of congenital heart disease.

She took Belinda to see McKayla and knew that as long as they did the surgery, paid more attention afterwards, and had regular checkups, there wouldn’t be much of a problem.
But Belinda’s parents still abandoned her, which made Belinda feel like a burden and always very insecure.
But from now on, she would be good to Belinda, just like to her own child, and she would make Belinda better.
Thinking about it, Stephanie grabbed a few sets of things Belinda needed again.
After they checked out, Stephanie held Belinda’s hand and walked out.
They walked slowly on the street, and Belinda told her some funny things that happened at kindergarten today. The two of them laughed happily
By the street, a Bentley sped by.
In the back seat of the Bentley, Maxwell looked at the big and small smiling faces, feeling strange.

Stephanie soon brought Belinda to the private room Jeremiah had booked.
Logan, McKayla, and Milton were already inside, and Jeremiah was still on the way.
After Stephanie came in holding Belinda, McKayla immediately can.

“Belinda!” McKayla smiled and took out the gift she just bought, handing it to Belinda, “Do you still remember me?”

“Auntie McKayla.” Belinda called sweetly, but she didn’t take the gift from McKayla. Instead, she glanced at Stephanic.
Seeing Stephanie nod, Belinda happily took the Cinnamoroll plushie McKayla bought for her, her eyes smiling in little crescents.
“Thank you, Auntie McKayla.”
McKayla also really liked this kid, and reached out to gently pinch Belinda’s little cheek.
Stephanie was all smiles too.
Several people took their seats.
While they were waiting for Jeremiah, McKayla said to Stephanie, “I already talked to the hospital. It’s best to start by taking Belinda for some checkups, and after the paperwork is done, take her for a surgery.”
Because the adoption process wasn’t finished yet, there needed to be some procedures if we wanted to get surgery for Belinda.
Stephanie nodded. “Thanks.”
“It’s fine,” McKayla said with a smile, “when the time comes, I’ll have my brother do it himself, you know, he’s really good.”
As she spoke, McKayla smiled at Belinda and said, “Belinda, don’t be scared. After the surgery, you’ll be just like the other kids.”
Belinda heard about the surgery and got a little scared, but she still nodded hard.
She wanted to be like everyone else.
So even if it hurt a bit, she would hold it in.

Stephanie saw Belinda’s reaction and couldn’t help but hugged Belinda again.
“I’m here!” As a voice came in, Jeremiah walked in and told someone to serve the food.
Jeremiah also brought a gift for Belinda, and everyone really liked this little girl.
The whole time, everyone was really happy.
People online were talking a lot about Serena.
Serena’s songs, Serena’s stage, all of it, were hot topics.
Countless bloggers rushed to use her songs as the BGM. There were promo videos, dance videos, all kinds.
Some songs. Of course, most people were bloggers trying to sing her hit the high notes and got praised, but more people couldn’t and their voices cracked. But even when they posted those, nobody laughed at them. Instead, it entertained everyone, and people all enjoyed the fun together.
At the same time, a lot of people were guessing who Serena was.
“She was wearing a mask, so, could she be someone I knew before?”
“When is she finally going to take off her mask? I’m so curious!”
“Curious +1!”
