Chapter 122
That glass of wine…
She hung out with Maxwell at all kinds of events for years, and just a sip or two, she could tell the alcohol content.
She knew her own drinking limit, and honestly, this one drink today wasn’t much for her.
Because she used to go abroad for negotiations a lot, she was cautious about things like being drugged. This drink probably didn’t have anything like that, and Estrella didn’t really have a reason to do it.
So…
In a dizzy haze, she saw her own thin wrist being gripped by Maxwell.
Ever since she had a miscarriage from falling down the stairs last time. her health wasn’t good.
Added that I drank and got blown by the wind.
Another wave of booze hit her, and she could barely stand.
Couldn’t stay here anymore.
She reached out and pushed Maxwell, trying to make him let go.
But she didn’t know that she was already staggering at that moment.
“Stephanie?” Maxwell frowned.
She didn’t answer him..
He reached out and picked her up around the waist.
Stephanie felt her feet off the ground, reached out to push him, but she was too weak to push him away.
“You drank.” Chest vibrating. Maxwell’s voice was muffled.
“Put me down,” Stephanie said.
But Maxwell didn’t pay attention to her. He just took the high heels
from her hand and carried her into the VI LIS
A dozen meters of forest path, Stephanie felt wobbly, and when she looked up, she saw moonlight spilling through the thick woods.
The moonlight fell on him, and for a moment, she couldn’t tell now from back then.
She was really a bit drunk.
He walked all the way to the villa, pressed his fingerprint to open the door, and put her down at the entrance.
Watching her stand against the wall, he reached out and closed the door.
She was still crying, he looked at her, feeling sad.
Just now when he picked her up, he felt she was a lot lighter than before.
It wasn’t just a little, it was a lot.
She was already skinny, and now she was even smaller.
“You were a bit drunk, and planned to go back like that?” Maxwell said.
Chapter122
There was danger on the road.
“None of your business.” Her voice sounded a bit nasal.
Maxwell was helpless.
“It’s hard to get a cab around Moon Manor. How are you getting back. walking?” He patiently explained it to her.
Even though it was in the pricey North Third Beltway, there were measures in place around Moon Manor.
After all, the Humphrey family didn’t want anyone snooping around all day or anything like that, and they didn’t want to be some kind of tourist attraction, either.
And safety issues also needed to be considered.
ally, the manor butler drove them in and out, so there was nothing to worry about.
But Stephanie obviously wanted to go back by herself now.
Seeing Stephanie press her lips together and stubbornly stay silent, he spoke again:
about
“On the way here I saw your car, were you seriously thinking driving drunk? Stephanie, you could barely walk straight right now.
Stephanie still didn’t answer, she just kept crying.
“Don’t cry.”
He said, under the dim light at the entrance, she cried so hard it broke his heart.
But she just turned her head away.
Chapter122
He let out a long sigh, bent down, held her face, and reached out to wipe her tears.
At such a close distance, he could see the tears on her eyelashes clearly.
Then, he kissed her.
He lingered on her lips and tasted her tears.
Her fists landed softly on him, and for him, they didn’t do anything to push him away.
Maxwell used his strength, picked up Stephanie, and carried her to a bedroom on the first floor.
She smelled like white wine, and before she could say anything, he kissed her again.
He didn’t want to listen to her talk.
The temperature inside quickly boiled. He pressed her down, and his other hand moved over her body.
He liked her body. Back in those days and nights, he always liked coaxing her in bed, getting close and intimate.
He liked watching her tremble softly in his arms, liked that her eyes were full of him.
But she really did lose a lot of weight.
The already slim waist was now even easier to hold, and…
“Steph…”
He called her name and gave her a kiss.
Chapter 122
“Steph.”
Kissed again.
Breaths tangled.
Maxwell’s kisses trailed down, holding Stephanie as he buried his face.
and kissed the mole on her chest.
Just then, he heard her voice.
“I don’t want it.” she said.
He didn’t stop.
“Do you want to use force?” she pushed him away, her hands pressed against his hair.
