Chapter 69 Shut Your Mouth

Chapter 69 Shut Your Mouth
Christian’s Point of View
“What is going on here?” My head snapped towards the stairs again when I heard Father’s voice. He stood there looking down at us with his piercing grey eyes, but something lifted in his gaze when he noticed Xavier.
But then another frown reached his face when he noticed that my mother was standing very close to Xavier, he began to walk down the stairs heading towards us.
“Lorenza, I hope you’re not bullying, Xavier.” His voice thundered as he reached beneath the stairs.
My hands balled into fists at my sides, it felt as if I was invisible.
“How could I bully him? After he won such a wonderful competition, standing above his peers as an outstanding student.” Her eyes flickered towards me. “Those are the true qualities of a real Blackwell.”
“I think I should go,” I suggested.
“No,” Father stopped me before I could leave, “You should stay, this dinner is to celebrate Xavier’s victory. I heard from the principal that you played very well too, Christian.”
Mother’s glare turned towards me, there was just always something that she is never satisfied about.
“What is the point of playing well when you only end up losing?” She shook her head, her blue eyes mirrored her disgust pretty well. “Let’s go have dinner.”
She turned on her heels, muttering the rest of the words as she went first, it was faint but I heard it.
“This shit is beginning to piss me off.”

We gathered around the table, and I mindlessly twirled the pasta on my plate. I could hear the voices of father and mother as they spoke, but I didn’t understand what they were saying, more like I didn’t even try to listen to them.
I can’t wait…
I want to go back…
I need to go back.
I need to see Lana; if I do, I could shut out all the voices in my head; I want to be nestled in her scent, and sleep in her laps, until I forget all my problems.
“You’re getting involved with a boy?” Mother drawled almost immediately, disgust laced in her tone. In that instant, I understood what they were talking about.
My head snapped up meeting her sharp gaze.
“What is the meaning of this? Are you gay?”
I swallowed hard, my eyes flickering to them. I wasn’t paying attention to the conversation, so I didn’t understand what led to it.
I remained silent.
“You broke up with Veronica to do this shit?” She asked, and I rolled my eyes. “You should be ashamed of yourself!”
My hands tightened around the fork.
Were they pissed because they suspect me to be gay, or they were pissed because its me that chose to disappoint them again.
“Is there anything wrong with being gay?” I asked, finally setting down the fork on my plate, and Father glared at me this time.
“Honey, don’t you have any information on the ‘Alan’ boy? You should have him questioned or even expelled.” Mother snapped. “Let me have a word with him, and I swear—”
“He isn’t gay,” Xavier finally spoke, and my eyes flickered toward him. I feel so pathetic whenever he tries to defend me, especially when it’s against my parents.
I hate that feeling of being dependent.
“I know the boy you’re talking about; he is just someone who became friends with Christian.”
“How do you know him?” Father asked curiously, and as much as I would like to make an issue out of this, for Lana’s sake, I know I shouldn’t. The only reason Father was still bringing this up was that he was suspicious; maybe if they heard it from their precious son, they would leave her alone.
“He is my roommate,” Xavier confessed, Father’s eyes flickered towards me, before they turned towards Mother. “They are just friends, you don’t need to worry about him.”
“Making friends with low lives, after you cut off all your elite friends,” Mother sneered, aggressively slicing the beef on her plate, and I slammed my hands against the table.
“You know exactly why I stopped talking to Bobby and the rest,” My voice came out gruff, and my chest tightened with pain.
“Your friends taunt you a little, and you cut them off?” She shook her head in disapproval. “Maybe if you’re man enough, they wouldn’t bully you.”
“They didn’t bully me, they—” The words died in my throat, and my jaws clenched, trying to keep calm. “Why am I even explaining myself to you?”
I got up, pushing the chair away violently, and the chair crashed into the ground loudly.
“I blame myself for coming here.”
“Christian, sit down,” Father ordered, and I shook my head.
“No.” I growled, “fuck you all. Instead of complaining about how terrible a son I am, maybe you should reflect on how bad of parents you both are.”
I sucked in a deep breath.
“You both are shitty people, and you deserve each other, faking everything, pretending like you’re both not on the edge of a divorce.” I snapped.
“What did you just say?” Mother asked as she dragged her chair back, and before she could continue, I heard a high-pitched feminine voice.
Familiar, and shrill like my mother’s, and then I became sick to the stomach, because I knew the voice all too well.
“What’s happening here?” She asked curiously. I could hear the clinking of her heels against the ground as she reached further into the dining room. “Are you guys fighting?”
My eyes dropped to the ground, looking everywhere else, I should have listened to my guts. I didn’t intend to meet her again, especially not like this.
“Christian,” She called me, and I turned towards her, my eyes narrowed on her frame.
“Veronica, let’s talk outside.” Without waiting for her to explain, I grabbed her wrist and dragged her out of the dining room and towards the balcony upstairs.
“Let go of me.” She squealed.
Only when I was certain that I was away from the watchful eyes of my parents did I unhand her; she shoved me. “You fucking animal.”
“What are you doing here?” I asked curiously. “We broke up, remember.”
“Our parents want us to get married,” She explained, and I rolled my eyes. “There is nothing you can do about it.”
“But you don’t even like me.” I continued. “You think I’m too weak for you, remember?’
“No, I like you, Christian.” She confessed. “I don’t just see the need to do something so bestial, and I’m sure your parents don’t know their son enjoys such humiliating kinks.”
Humiliating…
I sucked in a deep breath, trying to calm down.
“If only you could be normal, then everything would work out fine.” She continued, and my throat tightened from irritation. “Other men don’t want to be tied up and told to kneel. It’s disgusting, and you should be ashamed of yourself for having such urges.”
“That is the reason I broke up with you, we are not compatible.” I reminded her, and she rolled her green eyes. “So, why do you keep stalking me? I’m disgusting, and you should have nothing to do with me.”
“Believe me, there is no woman on this planet that would want to spank a man when they have sex, it’s horrendous.” She tapped my shoulders. “I will talk to your parents about it, and we will seek professional help for you.” I grabbed her shoulders and slammed her against the wall once more, leaning in to threaten her.
“One word about this to anyone, and I will rip your fucking tongue out of your fucking mouth.”
