Chapter 17 Fucking Hard

Chapter 17 Fucking Hard
Xavier’s Point of View
I could do nothing but watch as that fucking bastard, Christian, dragged Alan out of class. Alan looked helpless, like a deer in headlights, his big doe eyes were begging for help, the same help he refused the minute I offered.
Thick bitterness sat on my tongue, and a muscle in my jaw occasionally; even though it was closing period and everyone had cleared out of their classroom back to their various dorm, I just couldn’t leave.
I waited…
I stayed back, hoping that Alan would come back; I needed to be sure he was fine, that was the only way I could rest easy. There was something about seeing him and not seeing him that made me so restless; I wanted to know what was going on with him every second of the day, and the minute I am unsure, I become so restless.
Is this because I know the secret he was desperately hiding? Is that the reason Christian is also fixated on him?
Because he knows she is a girl?
No.
Christian isn’t the kind of person to withhold such information or protect someone’s privacy; he was a loudmouthed, arrogant fool.
My feet moved as I got out of my seat. She had been gone too long now; I’d better go find her. The moment I stepped out of my seat, Alan ambled into the classroom, her small shoulders slumped.
Her pretty amber eyes lingered on the floor as if she was in deep thought, but they soon flickered in my direction, and she froze. I felt relief flood me as I stormed towards her, covering the distance in only a few strides.
I grabbed her slender wrists, my eyes searching for a wound, a mark, anything that threatened her safety so I could go kill Christian right now—the warm color on her cheeks spread, making her even more adorable.
“X-Xavier,” She stuttered.
“Do you mind clarifying your relationship with Christian?” I asked as I finally released her wrist and stepped back. “I need to know if I should be worried; if you are in danger, I can’t step in if you don’t let me.”
She froze for a while and looked away from me. I clenched my hands, resisting the urge to touch her again. “I am not in danger.” She admitted in her small and quiet voice.
“Then tell me, is there any reason you leave the dorm at odd hours, and Christian comes to whisk you away anytime he likes?” I queried. “You know of his influence in the school, is he threatening you or bullying you?”
She shook her head. She was hesitant at first, but the words came, soft and purposeful.
“The thing is, I am owing Christian some money,” She confessed, and my eyes narrowed, wondering if she borrowed money from him. “I ruined a coat of his on my first day here, and he has insisted I pay for it by running some errands for him.”
“What kind of errands?” My eyebrows furrowed together, my chest tightening; you cannot expect something positive from that fool.
“I just do measly jobs for him since he is quite lazy, I clean up, pick up his laundry, and food sometimes.” She then shrugged her shoulders. “You shouldn’t worry so much. I know he is a jerk, but he is not dangerous.”
It sounded as if she forcefully added the last part; her cheeks reddened even more, and she looked like a tomato.
“Thank you for worrying about me.” She nods slightly, about to walk away from me, when I grab her arm. “How much do you owe him?” I inquired. “It doesn’t matter who was right or wrong; a ruined coat is something he can turn a blind eye to—that doesn’t give him any right to make you a servant. Follow me, and I will make a report to the School Disciplinary Committee.”
“No—” She took a step back. “Please, I would love to remain quiet and unnoticed until the end of my stay here. This is nothing.”
I sucked in a deep, ragged breath, struggling to remain calm.
For someone like her, who is under a pretense, staying out of the headlights might actually be good for her, but she has stepped in the fucking headlights ever since she got involved with Christian Fucking Blackwood.
Once he figures out the secret, it will be over for her.
“How much is it?” I asked again, my gaze stern. “I will pay.”
Her eyes widened, and then she snickered.
“I know you’re just trying to help me, but I also know you’re here on merit; there is no way you can afford it.” She smiled. “I appreciate that you’re looking out for me, but believe me, I am fine.”
I felt my eyes twitch—did she just assume that I was poor? I mean, that was the impression I was trying to make when I decided to stay in a shared room, I didn’t want to depend on my father’s influence or help; there was nothing much expected from a prodigal son like me anyways.
But the piteous smile she gave me seemed to bruise my ego and pride as a man; in fact, I felt my dick reduce by an inch.
I was unable to stop her; I just watched her as she picked up her bag and then smiled at me again before leaving.
On the other hand, I was frozen like a statue of shame, my feet finally moved, even though every step felt heavy like a waddling in thick mud. My eyes picked up the reddish-brown color of some sort of journal at the foot of her desk.
Did she drop the book by accident? I reached for it, flipping it—it seems like a diary. My eyes flickered back to the doorway, hoping she wasn’t coming for it.
“Xavier!” Noah yelled in excitement as soon as I got into the dorm room. He was always so fired up; he had the energy of six bulls coursing through his veins, and that’s why he gets along more with Alan.
I don’t have the willpower and mental strength to keep up with his endless supply of energy. I noticed he was wearing his vest and tying his shoelace, but his blond hair was held back with a plastic band. “You look ridiculous.” I pointed to his hair as I shut the door. “Why tie your hair like that?”
“I am playing badminton; my hair gets in my eyes, and when it gets damp with sweat, it irks me.” He explained with a smirk as he rolled up his socks. “I am sure if Alan were here, he wouldn’t see anything wrong with this.”
“Just get a buzz cut, and you don’t have to worry about hair getting in your eyes,” I muttered as I strolled off to my bed.
“You’re so mean, would you like to come watch me practice?” He asked as he got up, taking up his racket.
“I would love to sleep,” I muttered as I plopped on my bed. “Quit yapping and leave.”
“Meanie.” He pouted before waltzing towards the door. “At least wish me some luck.”
“Bye, Noah.” The door clicked, and I opened one eye, confirming his absence. I took the journal out of the bag. If this were truly Alan’s diary, I could get to see her thoughts, and also find out extra information about her.
I flipped through the first few pages that had nothing in particular on them but just random scribbling.
This is an empty book, such a shame… my thumb fanned through the pages, and my eyes widened when I saw my name on one of the pages I had passed. I flipped back, carefully examining the pages until I got back to the page that was titled: Xavier.
‘He looks so hot.’
I slipped my fingers in between the pages and closed the book; did I just hallucinate that? I opened it again, confirming it.
‘I want him to touch me, to fondle me in places no one has ever seen.’ A small groan escaped me when I felt blood rush into a certain part of my body. ‘His fingers tweak my nipples, and his tongue in my mouth.’
I snapped the book shut because right now, my head is filled with so many indecent thoughts, and I could visualize doing all these things to her.
“Fuck.” I cursed, as I stared down at the growing bulge in my navy-blue pants.
I was fucking hard.
