Chapter 76

Chapter 76
Alex pov.

I couldn't believe that fool would leave her pack just to come here and insult me. I smiled, feeling how foolish she was and how she managed to strike me, making me feel like a fool in front of everyone. She thought that just because she's now a Luna, she can act however she pleases.

As I watched her drive away, I couldn't take my eyes off her until she disappeared from sight. Turning to face Williams, who kept gazing in their direction, I walked in front of him with a deadly stare in my eyes.

"Don't tell me you believe her, right?" I asked, hoping for a reassuring answer.

He didn't say anything, walking past me and leaving me standing there speechless. I followed closely behind him as he entered his office. Just as he was about to shut the door, I opened it and walked inside.

"Now you're keeping me silent," I yelled at him, frustration evident in my voice. He walked over to his chair and sat down, looking up at me without a word.

"Why do you insist on making my life a living hell? I've told you before that we have nothing between us. It would be better if you just walked away and let me think for a minute."

Seeing him sitting there made me angrier by the second. He shouldn't be thinking about her; I am his Luna, for Goddess' sake! Why does he still love her?

I approached him, placing my hands on his, but he pulled them away and stood up, walking away from where I was standing. His lack of love for me hurt me deeply, and I wondered what I could do to regain his attention. I saw him staring out of the window, deliberately avoiding looking at me. Suddenly, an idea formed in my mind, and a smile crept onto my lips.

I began crying, pouring out my emotions as if it were real. With a subtle glance, I watched to see if he would come closer and perhaps offer comfort.

I continued crying, letting the tears flow until I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Williams gazing at me, concern evident in his eyes.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine care.

"Do you want me to take you to your room?"

I couldn't stop looking at him; he was the man of my dreams. What wouldn't I do to make him love me?

Without a second thought, I pulled him closer, placing my lips on his briefly, then pulling away, locking eyes with him.

"I love you," I whispered, my voice filled with affection and vulnerability. But to my dismay, he simply averted his gaze, refusing to meet my eyes. His action shattered my heart into countless pieces, leaving me feeling utterly broken.

Standing up, I walked away from him, my steps heavy with a mixture of anger and sorrow. As I stood there, staring blankly at the wall, an overwhelming surge of emotions coursed through my veins.

"Do you believe I'm the one who betrayed Sierra? Do you believe all the rumors they spread about me?" I questioned, my voice tinged with a mixture of desperation and frustration. "I may not like Sierra for a second, but that doesn't mean I would ever do anything to harm her."

I waited eagerly for a response, hoping for an ounce of understanding from him. Yet, all I received was silence. But before I could fully comprehend the situation, I felt a gentle hand wrap around my waist, pulling me closer.

"I'm sorry," his voice trembled, the words washing over me like a gentle breeze. His apology left me both surprised and uncertain. Was he genuinely apologizing to me, or was this some twisted joke?

I turned around to face him, our eyes locking in an intense gaze. I yearned to uncover the truth behind his apology, to decipher whether he meant every word he said.

"Why are you saying sorry?" I asked, my voice filled with curiosity and a hint of skepticism.

"I am truly sorry," he replied, his voice laced with sincerity. "I've been reflecting on what you said, and I realize that I shouldn't let Sierra consume me. I am confident that the child she carries is not mine. It's time for me to let go of her and embrace the possibility of love with you."

Hearing those words escape his lips for the first time, I struggled to believe my ears. Was he genuinely suggesting that he would forget about Sierra and give our relationship a chance?

Moved by his confession, I inched closer, feeling his warm breath caress my skin. Our eyes remained locked, each one reflecting a glimmer of hope and longing.

"Yes, I want to find peace with you. I want to let go of Sierra and give love a chance with you," he affirmed, his voice resonating with determination and affection.

A surge of joy washed over me as his words sank in. Without wasting another precious moment, I leaned forward, capturing his lips in a passionate kiss. I could feel the way his grip tightened around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

This was a moment of pure bliss, unlike any I had experienced before. For the first time, I didn't have to coax or convince him. He willingly embraced our love, and in that moment, William belonged to me completely.

Slowly, I began to unbutton his shirt, revealing the smoothness of his skin. My hands traced their way across his body, eagerly anticipating the love he would soon make to me.

It was an unforgettable moment, one that etched itself into the depths of my soul. The intensity of our connection made me crave him even more, yearning for him to continue this intimate dance of love.

A soft chuckle escaped from within me as I wished Sierra could witness the depth of our connection. She would see that true love had triumphed over all the doubts and uncertainties.

After making passionate love to him for nearly an hour, a sense of serenity washed over me. In that moment, I felt calm, content, and blissfully happy.

I turned around to see Williams fast asleep, his chest rising and falling rhythmically. A soft smile adorned my face as I admired his peaceful slumber.

Glancing at the clock, I realized that night had descended upon us, casting its dark veil over the world. The sight brought an even broader smile to my lips.

With a sense of purpose, I stood up and carefully donned my attire. Stepping out of the castle, I took cautious strides, ensuring that no prying eyes would witness my departure.

I knew that this time, I had to bring an end to Sierra's life before she could return and ruin everything for me. Determination fueled my steps as I made my way towards the house nestled in the depths of the woods.

Upon reaching the familiar staircase, I ascended it once more, my heart pounding in anticipation. Reaching the door, I slowly pushed it open, but to my astonishment, I was met with a chilling sight: the chains lay scattered on the floor, and Sierra was nowhere to be found.

A shiver coursed through my spine as fear took hold of me. I cautiously approached the spot where the chain had been, realizing that she had managed to slip away. She had vanished.

Filled with trepidation, I exited the house, my eyes darting around in a mix of anxiety and confusion. Where could she be? How had she managed to escape?

Just as I began contemplating my next move, a voice suddenly echoed behind me, causing me to startle.

"Who are you looking for?" the voice inquired.

Surprised, I swiftly turned around to face the fool standing before me, his eyes fixed upon mine.
