Chapter 42 What have I done!
Isla’s POV.
What really happened last night got me worked up.
I couldn’t close my eyes to sleep. Every time I did, I saw his face.
The way he kissed me. No, he didn’t kiss me. He devoured me last night.
God!! I gave myself away. My stupid body kept moving toward him.
I quickly rushed out for the day’s activities.
The traffic on the road today seemed different and I just wanted it to remain that way.
How do I face him when I get to the office today?
My legs still shook from the way she spread them.
I could barely feel my cunt. They still hurt from the way he finger fucked me.
I tried to shake those thoughts off my head. I needed to focus.
But still, it kept coming back. The filthy words he whispered to my ear.
“You’re dripping wet..” the smirk on his face when he said those words.
My head screamed no. But my body? My legs kept spreading for more.
After a long drive, we got to the office.
The weather looked great, but my mind was a mess.
I met him at the door, standing like he was waiting for someone or maybe for me.
My cheeks flushed, my legs almost gave out.
My heart kept racing, I didn’t know how to face him.
The look in his eyes, the way he stood, I felt guilty.
“What was he doing at the door?” I murmured to myself.
“It’s over, God! Why is he messing with my mind?”
I was thinking of how to face him inside the office. And now? He was standing at the entrance of the company.
“Don’t let him see the fear in you. Just walk past like you didn’t notice him.”
The driver already opened the door, waiting for me to get down.
When I finally decided to step out of the car, I managed to change the expression on my face.
I managed to steady my movement. When I got to the entrance, I walked past like I didn’t see him standing there.
I was just one step away when his voice came. “Morning, Isla.”
My heart stopped. I could barely hold myself.
My hands clenched on the files I held in my hands.
“Morning,” I whispered, voice trembling.
“You look different today.”
No!! What was he trying to do… Please just let me go inside.
I stood confident and strong on the outside. But on the inside, God help me… I wished the ground would open and swallow me whole.
“Do I?” My eyes twitched to his. “How come I didn’t notice.”
“Why are you shaking? Did something happen? Are you okay?”
How did he even know… no matter how hard I tried to hide myself, he always noticed.
I laughed it off. “I’m fine. Maybe I didn’t get a good sleep.”
He took a stride toward me, my legs took a step back.
“You don’t look okay to me,” he smirked.
Workers who passed didn’t keep their eyes off us.
They kept muttering words only them could hear to themselves but didn’t stop by.
“I’m okay, really.”
He stretched his hand to brush a strand of my hair.
I stepped back again, almost tripping on my feet.
He caught my arm, pulling me to my feet.
“You look scared. You didn’t have this face last night..”
Ohh no! Don’t say anymore please, I beg you!!
“Your face looked intimate and hungry last night, like if given a chance you’d let me devour you.”
My legs were unsteady now, “what are you talking about?”
I tried to brush the question off. “We have a meeting in the next ten minutes. I will go in to make preparations.”
He smirks. “Don’t think you can run away from me with that excuse of yours.”
Inside the office, the air was cold, but I was sweating underneath.
Thank goodness he didn’t say more, I would have really fainted, I couldn’t stand people suspecting us.
I was just praying for the day to end… I just wanted to go home.
Every time he called me into his office. Every time I see that table, I picture myself on them.
He’d look at me for too long.
Even if I hadn’t had sex before, even when I vowed never to give myself to any of the twin brothers, he made my legs tremble.
The way he made me scream his name. I just wanted more of him.
I didn’t want him to stop. But he just left me halfway.
Every time I remembered how I had begged him to fuck me last night…
Shame eats my face. I couldn’t face him, his eyes were a knife in my chest.
Finally the day was over and I was going home.
I didn’t want to be the only one left in the building.
I quickly packed my bag and set for the elevator.
Immediately the door opened, I saw him, in the elevator, standing like her already knew my plans.
“Where are you running to, kitten?” His voice came through.
I froze. No! No! No! My mind screamed. Not again.
“Get in. We’re heading home together.”
The elevator ride was a smooth one to others, but to me, it was like the devil had me.
We walked to the car lot, and stepped into the car.
“No driver,” I whispered.
“Just us… I asked him to go home early. I wanted us to spend some time together.”
This was just a dead end for me. I had no choice other than going with him.
The moment we entered the car, my phone buzzed.
I ignored it at first, thinking maybe it was just a regular notification.
But then it kept buzzing.
“You’re not looking at your phone, it could be something important.” He said.
What would be so important other than me getting home and going straight to my room.
I tried to brush it off. “It was just a…”
It buzzed again. I picked up the phone and looked at the screen.
It was Iris. He never called me before, Josie always did the calling.
I clenched the edge of the car seat until my knuckles turned white.
Why was he calling me? What could have happened?
