Special Chapter III

Alfredo Santiago’s letter to his family.

Few days ago I felt that my body will soon to collapse. I don't have a phone to record myself saying this so I wrote a letter instead.

To my first grandson Tristan, You never disappointed me. You really work hard for everything that you have achieved and I'm very proud of you Tristan. You deserve a lot that's why I'm giving you the right to manage our hospital in the Philippines. I know you won't disappoint me. You are the most hardworking among the rest and most passionate when it comes to work. Lolo Alfredo will always be your number one supporter.

To my granddaughter Hazel, You are one of the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. You always do what you think that will made me proud that's why you became my favorite. Lolo is still here silently guiding you. I know you will find a man soon but for now let that man be happy with someone else. Don't push yourself to someone who doesn't want you. I'm giving you our mansion in California. And I also transfer a hundred thousand dollars on your account. Keep smiling ok?

To my cute and bubbly granddaughter Nicole, You are still young but you don't stop on making me proud. I heard you want to be an architect, pursue your dreams. I know you can do it Iha. You are one of my sweetest granddaughter so don't forget to take care of your Lola Georgina, I love her more than everything. You will have our mansion here in the Philippines. Work hard until you can call yourself Architect Nicole Santiago. Don't fall in love quickly, you might get hurt. Career before love Iha. Everything can wait.

To my grandson, Anthony I didn't expect that you would become a great doctor. I thought you don't want to be one. Take care of your parents and your siblings. Be a man from now on and say hi to your children for me. I'm giving you the rights to manage our hospital in Spain. Don't forget to deal with our grumpy business partner. I know you can do it. I'm sorry if I force you to be a doctor even if I know you wanted to be a photographer. I have old cameras in my room, it's all yours now Iho. Don't forget about Lolo.

To my understanding granddaughter, Selena I'm sorry if I put you in things that will hurt you the most. I support your relationship with Ciro and I didn't mean to cause you a lot of pain. Believe me Iha, I just wanted the best for you and Hazel. I know his heart belongs to you and no one else. You are a precious gift from God that we received. Thank you for understanding me the way you could. I'm giving you our mansion in California. I hope you will be happy now. I'm sorry for the wrong things I've done. To my youngest grandson Gino, We didn't have a lot of memories together but when I remembered when your mother gave you birth. I'm happy that you came into our lives. I'm happy and sad at the same time because I can't create memories with you anymore. I know you'll grow up handsome and hardworking like your Kuya Anthony. It pains me to leave but I can't stay. Lolo will always love you. Please don't forget me cause you will always be in my heart Gino.

To my sporty grandson Mikko, You are a great doctor and a basketball player. I bought you shoes but I'm afraid that you will not wear them because they are not your type. They are in my room and you can come and get it anytime. You are so quiet that I tended to disown you, just kidding. Protect your sister from anyone that will hurt her and stop playing with girls feelings because a Santiago never make girls cry instead we always wipe their tears. I'm giving you the rights to manage our hospitals in Canada. Mikko I'm proud of you, always even if I didn't told you. You always make me proud Iho.

To my intelligent granddaughter Carylle, I know you hate Lolo for what I've done to Yuri and Selena. Please forgive me, I thought that's the best for them. I heard someone just broke your heart. Please don't asked for his love, don't beg Iha. If he loves you he will stay no matter what and you never need to beg someone to love you back. Follow your heart but bring your brain with you. Love can be deceiving and you'll just see yourself crying every night because of someone that doesn't even care about you. Iha love yourself because Lolo loves you so much.

To my beautiful granddaughter, Kzarina A lot of boys like you because of your career but don't trust them all. You are a strong, beautiful and intelligent woman that all boys asked for. I trust you with everything because I know you always think before you speak. Iha, you never failed me. Goodluck in your journey and always remember even if I'm not physically there I will always guide you from above. You just need to believe in yourself and choose to be happy all the time.

To my quiet grandson Clifford, Take care of your family for me. I know I'm not the best grandfather but I will still try my best to make everything better in my last days. We never talked but you are still in my heart. Keep making everyone happy and contented for what they have. Like what I've said to your sister I trust you too. I'm giving you a hundred thousand dollars to fix everything you have done. Still I'm proud of you. I know you more than anyone else so don't listen to them instead listen to me. Don't wreck your life and don't listen on their opinion because what matters is yours.

To you my grandson Yuri, I'm sorry for pushing you to do something you don't really want. I'm amazed by your courage to speak it out and let me know what's on your mind. I may be mad but I will never disown you because you always make me proud. I know you will be the best lawyer anyone could have imagine. Attorney Yuri Santiago, sounds good. Forgive me for everything, I will try to make it up to you. Yuri, be the best lawyer and prove me wrong for what I have said. You are the best Iho.

To my wife Georgina, I don't want to leave you alone. I promised you that I will be forever beside you but it looks like I can't stay anymore. You are the best gift God ever gave me. I know we will see each other again but for now let me just take care of you from above. You are my life darling. I love you.
