Chapter 57 Chapter 0057

"Shh..." he whispered in my ear. "Alena is sleeping.
"Well, I wouldn't be making noise if you weren't muffing me so good," I giggled, covering my mouth.
It was already 5 in the morning, Alena's usual waking-up time. Oh, how I wished he could fuck me already before preparing for work.
I couldn't get enough of him. The fact that I waited five years to be in bed with him sounded insane to me.
I mean, there were times when I looked at him and wondered what would've happened if I had never gone ahead with my wedding to Mason, but I couldn't imagine the thought of never having Rowan and Alena.
They meant the world to me, and I wouldn't have their versions if I had never married Mason.
"I can be buried between your thighs all day," he muttered as he straightened up and looked at me. I was so turned on when I saw his beard dripping with my juices.
I couldn't believe how ridiculously wet I was for him. "Fuck me, already, and stop talking."
He bit his lower lip as he positioned himself between my thighs and entered me slowly. He was so gentle as he thrust inside until I opened up and accommodated his thick dick.
I released a soft moan as he began moving a bit faster and deeper. I moaned louder as my orgasm approached.
My legs started shaking as an electric sensation erupted from my vagina and spread to the rest of my body.
He didn't even stop pumping in and out of me as my legs and feet curled underneath his weight. My mind was lost for a moment as the feeling of ecstasy overtook me.
I pulled him closer as the sensation went down.
"You're fucking good," he murmured between groans as he reached his own orgasm.
He kissed my forehead and collapsed on the bed beside me, his chest heaving as he pulled me close.
"Well, if things were up to me, I'd say we stay here and watch Netflix all day," he chuckled and I giggled.
"You have two jobs, Dante. You have an entire clinic running without you being there, so some of us actually need the job at the hospital."
He pulled back and sighed. "I couldn't stay and risk your identity being discovered. All our hard work would be wasted if anyone were to find out we are not humans."
"Yeah, you're right," I answered as I sat up on the bed and got dressed. "It's not like we aren't being watched closely right now. I was supposed to be suspended, but the director lifted my suspension because of the number of people who go home healthy each day. It's only a matter of time before someone takes a wild guess and figures out what we are."
"That won't happen, Cass," he answered, leaning closer. "We are safe here."
"Alena isn't growing up like the other kids," I groaned as I got off the bed. "How long do you think it will take for someone to put the dots together about her? I worry every morning we drop her off at kindergarten. She's already asking questions."
"We will deal with one thing at a time," he answered when he got off the bed and leaned toward me. He took my hands and kissed them. "I will always be here for you."
I leaned my head on his chest and breathed. I didn't want to spiral out of control and lose sight of what was already right in front of me.
"Thank you, Dante."
After a long moment, I pulled away, grabbed his hand, and dragged him into the shower with me.
When we were done showering, I went to Alena's room to find out if she was already awake, but she was still sleeping.
It was quite unusual for her, but I figured she slept late and was still sleepy.
"Wake up, Alena," I groaned as I opened the curtains in her room. "We don't want you to be late for school, do we?"
There was silence.
I rolled my eyes and went to her closet to pick out something for her to wear when I returned and found her still sleeping.
'Cassandra,' Lyra's voice snapped in my head. 'Quick, she's not breathing!'
My heart raced as I rushed to her, and tried to wake her up. I couldn't understand why this was happening to me now.
"Alena, no, no, baby, please..." I begged as I shook her. I sat down on the bed and placed her on my lap. "Alena, look at me."
Her heartbeat was slow and she was running a fever. She didn't even respond when I tried to wake her.
It frightened me to see her so still.
"Dante!" I called out, crying.
