Chapter 239 Chapter 0239
•KAEL•

"Hmm," I moaned as my sweet girl worked her mouth around my dick. I closed my eyes and arched my head back. The gag sounds she made made it even better.

I grabbed her ponytail and pulled it back as she sucked my dick while massaging my balls. I was sent to the moon and back in one stroke.

"Kael," Maximus cleared his throat behind me. I groaned as I tilted my head and wondered if he knew how close I was to bursting my nut in Bella's mouth.

"What?"

"Dante Larke has been spotted nearby. He will be here in a few minutes."

I turned to Bella and closed my eyes as I felt myself about to explode. I cummed in her mouth and groaned as she leaned back and swallowed every drop of my cum.

I then pulled up my pants and looked at the view from the balcony. It was truly beautiful to oversee the forests of Crimson Ridge. Their tall and lively trees were truly magnificent.

"Yes, Maximus. We can now attend to the matter you brought to my attention." I turned to him as Bella got up from the floor and left.

Bella was my mother's assistant, and now mine whenever I needed someone to satisfy me. She was good at it, and that was enough.

I followed Maximus down from the balcony and into the corridor. We had barely reached the main hall when I saw my mother approaching.

She came around the corner from the east passage and stopped when she saw me. She was breathing harder than usual, and her clothes were covered in dust and something that looked like ash. Her hair had come loose, and there were scratches on her forearms that she hadn't had an hour ago.

"What happened to you?" I asked, looking her over.

She pressed her hand against the wall to steady herself. "The problem has been taken care of," she answered. "For now."

"What problem?"

"Cassandra is stronger than the first round of herbs suggested," she replied. "I had to reinforce the room personally."

I looked at her for a moment and decided not to push further. She had handled it, and that was what mattered. "Get cleaned up," I replied. "And when you're done, I need you to prepare the seal device. I want it ready before Dante gets inside the building."

She straightened and looked at me. "And the upper rooms?"

"Keep them suppressed," I answered. "Double the herbs if you have to. I don't want Cassandra reaching her wolf or her mate bond while Dante is inside this building. If she manages to contact him while he's in here, it changes how this plays out."

My mother was quiet for a moment. I rolled my eyes and groaned. This meant that there was something wrong.

"Say it," I replied. "What is it?"

"I am not certain the suppression will hold against her," she answered. "Not anymore. What she did to the room, Kael, that was not standard werewolf strength. The herbs I use work on werewolves. They work on lycans. They work on hybrids." She held my gaze. "What she did suggests something I have not encountered before. A combination that our formula was not designed to contain."

"Then make a stronger formula," I replied.

"It is not that simple."

"Make it that simple," I answered. "Dante is minutes away, and I need that device ready and those rooms holding. Whatever doubts you have, put them away until this is finished."

She pressed her lips together and nodded before walking past me toward her workroom.

Maximus fell into step beside me as I moved toward the operations room. "Dante has been spotted coming alone. Our men are ready for him, so it won't be difficult to deal with him."

"Good," I answered. "That means the warning in the letter worked. He came alone."

"Shall I position more men at the entry points?"

"Yes. And tell them not to engage unless I give the signal. I want him inside the building before anyone moves."

Maximus nodded and went ahead.

I poured myself a drink and stood near the window looking out at the forest. Everything was running exactly as I had planned it.

Dante would come in, alone and controlled, trying to stay calm for Cassandra's sake. That restraint was his biggest weakness. He would not shift, would not use full force, because he would be afraid of triggering the wolfsbane mechanism.

I finally walked out of the house when I saw Dante approaching, and the bastard was alone. When he looked at me and realized that I wasn't a normal werewolf, he frowned.

"Where's Cassandra?" he asked. "I am here now, so you can let her go. She's not the one that you want, Kael. You want me."

"I'll kill you both, and nothing will stop me."

"Cassandra!" He screamed. "I have come for you, and if you can hear my voice, prepare yourself!"
