She smiled faintly, a light smile as delicate as gossamer wings, yet carrying immense mockery.
"Facts require evidence. Where's your evidence? Just because something comes out of your mouth, Mia, does it automatically become fact? Should I be convicted without any evidence? Is this your one-man show?"
Mia's brow furrowed tightly. She opened her mouth and said weakly, "Isn't your expulsion the best evidence?"
"Ridiculous."
"Since you deny all this, then how do you explain this video?"
Dean pulled out his phone directly and played the widely circulated video on the table.
She had seen this video long ago. Due to the camera angle, Gilbert and Joshua, who had interacted with her in the video, were only captured from behind, while Ava's entire face was shown. The comments below were getting more and more intense.
Angry netizens online had even dug up information about Ava driving luxury cars, with comments suggesting she was being kept as a mistress constantly popping up.

"Mr. White, do you think I got close to Thora to get your vote when competing for the director position?"

Ava said coolly, "Mr. White, you may have never doubted your son-in-law. As you all say, Thora loves Dr. Palmer very much. So why is she so determined to divorce him now? Just because I said a few words, she absolutely must get divorced? I don't think I have that kind of power. You can ask Thora what Dr. Palmer did that made her so determined to divorce him."
Hawk's eyes flickered, and he looked up at Dean beside him with a complex, doubtful expression.
"Dad, everyone at the hospital can see how I treat Thora. You can't just believe this woman based on a few words. What she's best at is talking nonsense..."
"Enough. You've all been going around in circles. Regardless, Dr. Davis, you're not qualified for this director position." "Fine." Barry was actually taken aback for a moment.
"You're the most spirited doctor I've seen in all these years. Then prove it to me with your abilities. I'll apply to Mr. Miller to have this cardiothoracic surgery director evaluation decided by a vote from all hospital medical staff—absolutely fair, just, and open. If you win, no one will dare oppose your director position. If you lose, you can't blame anyone. The date is set for one month from now. Do you accept?"
Ava pressed her lips tightly, looking at Barry with clear, cool eyes for several seconds, the corners of her mouth lifting slightly.
"Fine."
"But I have a condition."
Barry's deep eyes narrowed. "What condition?"
