“What is that?” Kate asked as she closed the distance between us. I don't even know how best to reply to her at this point.

“A gift,” I said and sighed softly. This guy won't stop surprising me and invading my space.

“Why is it inside your breast?” Kate asked and I don't really know the best way to reply.

Perhaps, I am finding it hard to describe because I can't accept Dylan's behaviour. It's kind of rude to me.

“Because he put it there when I refused to take it” I said and shook my head slightly.

“Who are you talking about?” Kate asked, not getting the full gist.

“Dylan. He put the box inside my chest before I could even stop him.” I said and Kate's eyes widened. She took the box from me and opened it.

“Wow," she exclaimed with shock evident in her face. I was even surprised to see her explain that way because what could be wrong?

I looked at her, confused, until she brought out what was inside the box. It's a necklace but I recognise what necklace it is at first glance.

It's the Tear of Poseidon diamond necklace. There are only two pieces in the world and they were launched two months ago.

Everyone was actually finding it hard to see and get it but Dylan managed to get it.

I'm sure it's fake

“What do you mean Fake? The diamond is shiny.” Kate said and I could see that she was right. The rays from the sun are barely visible here but the diamond is shining.

“Fuck” I cursed and took the necklace from Kate to take a better look at it.

This is no joke. It's the same necklace.

“Why would you even think he would get you a fake necklace. He is Dylan for crying out loud.” Kate said and I can't help but find it suspicious that he actually bought the real thing.

“This is a huge girl. I think he wants to prove to you that he is a better man but trust me when I say I am always on your side.” Kate said and I nodded.

“I know, baby. Thank you.” I said and she hugged me

“Let's go and attend to the reporters. You need to do this right.” Kate said and led the way for me while I followed her. I put the necklace back in the box.

“I can't imagine how much you spend on this. I'm so happy for you, Zara,” Kate said with a smile on her face.

“Thank Kate,” I said and we got to the main hall. The guests were busy looking at the work of art.

I managed to hire some artists to work alongside me and this is just the beginning. I am aiming for something high because I will be having a meeting with a woman who is actually interested in making me one of her influencers.

When we got outside, I stepped forward and replied to the reporter's question. They ask questions related to the heart and how I manage to come up with this idea.

“I have always loved art since I was a kid until I grew up but I had to stop because I needed to work in my Father's company,” I said and continued.

“After a while, I realised I really need to start working on myself without having to wait for anyone. I have been working on this for the past two years until I managed to accomplish this dream of mine.” I said and Rachel blew me a kiss from the audience.

I spotted Kate not too far away from her and Orion was in the furthest corner watching me. He looked so handsome in that wine suit he wore.

“We noticed that Dylan Devereux is here today to congratulate you. Is there any special relationship between you two?” one of the reporters says.

“I will answer that question when the right time comes,” I said and left the stage. And though they kept asking more questions, I didn't have the chance to reply to them.

I left the stage and answered some of the guests' questions, explaining each story behind the painting. After making sure everything was moving accordingly, I went to my office room and Rachel came to see me.

“I am here to apologise again for my mom's wrongdoing,” Rachel said.

Maybe I should have left when I realised she was coming. She looked guilty even though she never did anything bad to me.

“It's fine sister,” I said and offered her a chair to sit on.

“I am planning to go to the UK for vacation. I will be back before your wedding. Do find it in your heart to forgive my shortcomings, Zara.” she said and I stood up from my seat to come to her side.

“You are my sister and I am sorry for eavesdropping. I love you. Do enjoy your vacation.” I told her and she smiled.

“Thank you, love,” she said and left the room.

“I left because I have something urgent to attend to at the company. I will see you tomorrow.” I read Orion text and looked out of the window. The sun has already set and the moon is preparing to come out now. I stood up and took my car key with me.

I left the room and went to the parking lot to drive my car. Kate already said that she still wants to go back to the club. I have a feeling that she is trying to consider Bryan. Maybe she wants to find
out if it is just a one time thing or she actually fell in love with him.
