Chapter 149 Top-Tier Attorney

Chapter 149 Top-Tier Attorney

Henry let out a bitter laugh. "It's not about fear; I'm just concerned. The Scott family is like an insurmountable mountain!"

"Even the highest peak can be climbed. The key is that justice is on our side. Contact the legal director immediately—send formal demand letters to Genova BioTech requiring them to restore supply within three business days and compensate for preliminary damages! If they refuse, we will file for arbitration with the Emerald City International Trade Commission immediately! Also, prepare materials for antitrust and unfair competition litigation!"

Her eyes flashed with cold determination. "Genova BioTech and the Scott family signed exclusive supply agreements, maliciously cutting off our normal sourcing channels, attempting to monopolize and squeeze out competitors! That's our core legal argument! The evidence chain must be absolutely airtight!"

"Additionally, mobilize all our resources and spare no effort to search globally for a substitute for Silver Fox! Or craftsmen and technology capable of producing and processing this special raw fur! Our launch absolutely cannot be delayed!"

"Got it! I'll handle it immediately!" Henry was inspired by Emily's determined resolve, and a spark of fighting spirit reignited in his eyes.

Back at the company, Emily immediately dove into emergency meetings. The legal team operated with high efficiency. Demand letters were dispatched by evening, with strong wording that clearly outlined the breach of contract and liabilities of Genova BioTech.

The draft of the antitrust and unfair competition lawsuit had also taken shape, with many previously overlooked details being uncovered as evidence.

Meanwhile, the global procurement network had been fully activated, and urgent requests for raw materials had spread across major professional platforms and confidential channels.

Just as the meeting concluded and Emily returned to her office to handle other backlogged matters, her personal phone rang. The name flashing on the screen made her lips curve slightly upward—it was Louis.

From the other end, Louis's cool, authoritative voice came through without unnecessary pleasantries, getting straight to the point, "I know about the Genova BioTech situation."

Emily wasn't surprised by Louis's reach in Emerald City. She smiled helplessly, "Uncle Louis, you're well-informed. They brought up the Scott family—their attitude was quite aggressive."

"The Scott family? Nothing but jumping clowns. They think pulling a few strings gives them leverage over Obscura Fashion's lifeline?" Louis's voice revealed no particular emotion.

Before Emily could respond, Louis continued, "You don't need to handle this anymore. I'll have my legal team take over. Genova BioTech's breach penalties—not a penny less. They'll deliver the Silver Fox back intact. As for the Scott family..."

Louis paused briefly, his voice turning cold, "I'll make them understand what it costs to target my family."

Family? Emily's heart suddenly warmed.

Yes, she wasn't fighting alone—she had important family, too.

But, she hesitated slightly, "They are the Scott family after all, and this is my business. I don't want to drag you into it."

Louis cut her off and added, "Emily, remember—you are my family. Obscura Fashion is your life's work, and more importantly, your dignity! Anyone who dares touch it is trampling on my dignity! I must handle this matter!"

He paused, his tone softening slightly, "The legal team will arrive at your company tomorrow morning with all authorization documents and new contracts. Watson will be leading them; you should recognize that name."

Watson Smith? That top-tier commercial litigation attorney who's been active in the highest financial circles for years, dubbed the "Undefeated Attorney"?

Legend had it he'd never lost a case! His fees were astronomical, and his identity was shrouded in mystery, serving only the most elite tycoons and ancient families!

Louis was actually sending him over directly?

"That's incredibly generous. Mr. Smith's fees..." Emily felt her palms starting to sweat.

"Fees aren't your concern. Winning this case and making those foolish folks in Emerald City see the reality is the best reward. All right, let Watson handle the rest while you focus on preparing the launch and finding alternatives. That's it."

He hung up the phone decisively. Emily held her phone, still somewhat dazed.

Louis's intervention was like a heavy hammer blow, not only striking at Genova BioTech and the Scott family, but also hitting her heart with tremendous force. That phrase "my family," that unhesitating protection, stirred an indescribable warmth and sense of belonging in her heart.

Almost simultaneously, in the opulent yet cold, cavernous study of Scott Manor.

Daphne sat behind her massive walnut desk, having just received a triumphant call from someone at Genova BioTech. On the phone, they gleefully described how Emily and Henry had been humiliated, how they'd been frightened off by the Scott family's reputation and could only slink away in defeat.

"Doesn't know her place. Thinking she can act so arrogantly just because she has Charles backing her? The Scott family name should keep her quiet for a while. Clara really overdid it, though—why use Scott family connections for dealing with such a minor player? But fine, it'll make her give up completely."

However, before that smug smile could fully bloom on her lips, the study door was knocked somewhat urgently by the butler. "Madam, we have a problem!"

The butler held a just-received fax document, his expression grave. "This came directly from Mr. Louis Campbell's office—a copy of the demand letter sent to Genova BioTech! Plus a detailed evidence list regarding Genova BioTech's involvement in unfair competition and breach of contract!"

"What?" Daphne shot to her feet, snatching the documents from the butler's hands. When she saw Louis's prominent personal signature in the footer, along with Watson Smith's signature below it, a chill instantly shot from her soles straight to the top of her head!

She certainly knew who Watson Smith was!

He was Louis's sharpest, most expensive, and most terrifying weapon! Not deployed lightly!

Louis had actually sent him for Emily's sake?

"Has he lost his mind? Going against the Scott family for Emily? Even mobilizing Watson?"

The butler kept his head down, not daring to breathe heavily.

Daphne stared fixedly at Emily's name on the document, recalling how Louis had publicly stated on social media that he and Emily had a good relationship, plus his repeated protection of her.

A ridiculous yet spine-chilling thought emerged.

"Did he actually say on the phone to Genova BioTech that Emily was his family?" Daphne asked in a trembling voice.

"Yes, Madam. Genova BioTech's Joshua relayed Mr. Campbell's exact words in their call: 'Anyone who targets my family will pay the price.'"

Family? Daphne collapsed back into her chair, her expression shifting unpredictably.
