Chapter 9 Her smile
Miley descended the stairs with her backpack, and walked into the kitchen where her mother was making breakfast, and her father was sitting on a stool, reading a newspaper, a cup of coffee in front of him.
She grinned, and rushed to Teddy "Morning dad" She hugged him from behind.
"Hey Bumblebee. How did you sleep?" He asked, and smiled at her.
Miley sat on the stool beside him, dropped her backpack on the island, and reached for Teddy's coffee.
"Splendid" She replied, and took a sip of the coffee.
As if she barely slept a wink, she couldn't get that kiss out of her mind, the taste of wine lingered in her mouth, and the feeling of his soft lips against hers it made her feel things she never knew she could feel.
She smiled sweetly, and placed the coffee down on the table.
"You know.... It would really make me happy if for once you actually also gave me your attention, and not only your father." Lily said to her daughter with a pout.
Miley made a pitiful face, and rushed towards her.
"Mom, I'm sorry. You know that I love you, don't be jealous" She hugged her, and kissed her on the cheek.
Lily rolled her eyes, and smiled. Miley broke the hug, and was about to say something when the sound of a car honking cut her off.
Miley pouted "Awww, Cat is here. Looks like i should be leaving" She said, and rushed to grab her backpack on the kitchen island.
Teddy, and Lily watched her in confusion.
"Wait, I thought you were going stay for breakfast" Lily asked, and walked towards her, leaving her pancakes on the stove.
"Sorry mom, but I have a class in an hour" She said "Was really looking forward to it tho" She smiled sadly.
Lily sigjed"Alrighr, just make sure you come home next weekend, I got invited to the birthday party of one of my clients, and I want you to go with me" She instructioned.
"Understood" Miley replied.
"Oh, and tell that friend of yours that if next time she can't come inside, and say hi, then I'll drag her inside the house to have dinner with us against her will. And she'll get to sit right next Mavis" Teddy said, and Miley chuckled.
"Got it" Catherine honked again "I better go. The second honk is usually a sign for 'I'm leaving if you're not out in five minutes'." Miley rolled her eyes, and rushed out, but bumped onto Mavis's chest.
She groaned "Fuck, what the hell?! If you're not leaving me for dead 5 Kilometers from home, you're bumping onto me on purpose" She rolled her eyes, and walked past him.
Mavis sighed, and pinched the bridge of his nose" Geez Mimi, I said I was sorry! "He yelled after her but she was ignored him.
She rushed out the door, and ran to Catherine's car. She got into the passenger's seat door, and opened it. She hopped inside, and closed the door.
" Took you long enough "Catherine rolled her eyes, and stepped on the gas. The car drove into the street, and blended with the other numerous cars.
Miley raised a brow" You behave like you have something better to do. And don't tell me that you're in a rush because you want to get to class early, you wouldn't be able to do it even if it were to save your life" She said, with a chuckle.
Catherine scoffed, her eyes focused on the road "So, what was that thing you wanted to tell me? I couldn't sleep thinking about what it was you wanted to tell me" She smirked.
Miley raised her brow"Are you serious? "She asked, and looked at her friend like she was crazy.
She shrugged" Well yeah, it's not everyday that you tell me that you have some gossip for me. You're literally allergic to gossip, and I couldn't miss on a chance like this for anything "She exclaimed, and glanced at her" So spill"
Miley sighed, and looked ahead" I got my first kiss stolen by a stranger last night "She dropped the bombs. The car screeched, and drove out of the road, before Catherine regained control.
" What!! "She squeeled, and Miley flinched.
" The hell Catherine, are you out of your mind? Why did you scream like that? "She glared at her.
" What the eef, Mimi?! How did it happen?.. why? "She asked.
Miley shrugged" I saved his life, and got a kiss as a reward. What's even worse is that I can't stop thinking about the kiss "She sighed, and Catherine gasped.
"Oh, I wish I knew who this guy is so I can thank him for making you see that there's more to life then being a doctor" She said.
Miley scowled "Seriously? It was just a kiss, nothing more, nothing less. Stop exaggerating" She muttered, and sighed "And, besides it was probably a mistake"
Catherine scoffed "Mistake? Did it feel like a mistake to you?" She raised a brow.
Miley shifted uncomfortable "Well...n..no. I mean it wasn't bad, but the guy was injured, and probably wasn't in his right mind" She said, bit her lower lip.
Catherine chuckled "So, was he hot?" She wiggled her brows.
Miley frowned" Yeah, I think it's time to change the topic. Did you spend the weekend with you brother like I asked you? "She asked, and raised her brows.
Catherine glared at her, but end up sighing in defeat" Fine, I did. Happy? Not like I had a choice anyway. He wouldn't stop calling me. If him being my lecturer isn't enough, he had to be my brother "She muttered. Miley smiled lightly before placing her hand on her shoulder which made the brunette smile.
The car drove through the medical school entrance, and headed for the parking area.
Aleksei sat on the couch facing the floor to ceiling window that head the perfect view of the city. He was only in a black rob, a cigar between his index, and middle finger.
His mind was filled with her, those Hazel eyes, the small lips, and that smile that always knew how to stir him up. She was perfect, and it was almost as if she was made for him.
"Boss" Travis spoke from behind "We got all the information about Miley Blackwell" He said.
Aleksei raised his hand, and Travis placed the file which was thick in his hand, before rushing out without a word. He placed the file on his lap, and opened it, her face came to view, and his heart skipped a beat. Her hair was longer in the picture with a beautiful smile on her face.
