Chapter 23
Chapter 23
Wednesday morning arrived like a sort of punishment. Alexandria’s hands trembled as she slipped into her usual seat at the very front of Professor Vance’s lecture hall.
today, he didn’t look at her once, not when he entered the hall with his usual calm authority. Not when he set his laptop on the podium, not during the entire two hours of his lecture on macroeconomic policy.
His deep, measured voice filled the hall as always, but his gaze never drifted toward her, not even a flicker. It was like she didn't exist at all; he called on other students as he asked questions. He engaged like he always did, but Alexandria might as well have been invisible.
The ache in her chest grew sharper with every passing minute. She sat ramrod straight, her thighs were pressed painfully together under the desk, everything about her triggered that raw arousal in her, even when he was being cruel, even when he was ignoring her like she didn't exist.
She was trying desperately not to cry in the middle of class. Her body still remembered yesterday; the orgasm on his thigh, his fingers buried deep inside her, the possessive kiss he had given her like a reward. And now he was treating her like nothing had happened. Like she was just another student he couldn't even see.
'You let him finger you in his office, you rode his thigh like a desperate whore. And now he won’t even look at you....'
Self-loathing burned through her, her throat felt so tight. She hated what she had become, she hated how wet she still was just from sitting in the same room as him. She hated that her pride, or at least the last fragile pieces of it, it kept screaming at her to walk away, while her body begged her to stay.
Her body was literally begging her to crawl back, to take whatever scraps he was willing to give. By the time class ended, her eyes were stinging with unshed tears. The second he dismissed them, she shot up from her seat and was the first one out the door, practically running down the hallway before anyone could see her face.
The rest of the day passed in a miserable blur. She drifted through her other lectures like a ghost, barely hearing a word. Her mind kept replaying the cold indifference in his eyes that morning. Every time she shifted in her seat, she felt the lingering tenderness on her ass and the constant, humiliating slickness between her thighs. She was getting tired of this at this point.
She skipped lunch, avoided Peter again, sat in bathroom stalls twice just to breathe through the overwhelming mix of shame and desperate need. And the fact that she couldn't even touch herself made the whole thing worse.
By the time her last class ended, she was exhausted, emotionally frayed, and so aroused it physically hurt.
She went straight to his office anyway. she knocked on his door softly, almost hesitantly. The door opened almost immediately to her surprise. Jonathan stood there, fully dressed in his tailored dark suit, keys in hand, clearly ready to leave, and her heart dropped to the pit of her stomach.
She'd thought he was finally going to ease her suffering, yet here he was, ready to leave.
His eyes swept over her, he took in her flushed cheeks, her trembling hands, the way she was barely holding herself together. He didn’t look surprised.
“Did you drive yourself today?” he asked.
She nodded.
“Yes.”
"My driver will drive you. You’re coming with me.” he said.
The statement hung between them. Alexandria’s breath caught. This was it, the line they had been dancing around. Going somewhere with him meant something much more serious than stolen moments in his office or his car. It meant she was willingly stepping into his world.
He watched her silently for a long moment, giving her the chance to refuse. To turn around and walk away with whatever dignity she still had left. Her pride screamed at her to do exactly that. But her body, God, her body and the aching, terrifying need inside her just would let her.
“Okay,” she heard herself whisper.
Jonathan gave a single, decisive nod.
“Good.” He walked past her without another word, leaving the faint trace of his cologne in the air.
Alexandria stood there for a few minutes, her heart was racing, he could very well be a psychopath looking to kill her and gauge out her eyes or something, yet she still headed to the students' parking lot to meet his driver.
The drive to his place was quiet. The car moved smoothly through the city and into a quiet, upscale neighborhood. When they finally pulled up to the house, Alexandria’s stomach flipped, they were finally here. It was a modern two-story home with clean lines, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and warm wooden accents.
Luxurious but not flashy; understated wealth that felt exactly like him. The driver opened her door politely and she stepped out on shaky legs and followed him inside. Jonathan was already there, standing in the open-plan living area. The lights were low and warm. He had removed his coat, sleeves rolled up again, revealing those strong forearms that made her mouth go dry.
He walked over to the kitchen island, took a cold bottle of water from the fridge, and handed it to her.
"Drink,” he said simply. “You look like you’re about to pass out.”
She took it with trembling fingers and sipped slowly, the cold liquid soothed her dry throat. Jonathan leaned against the counter, watching her with that same intense, measured gaze.
“If we’re going to do this,” he began, he sounded serious now, like he wasn't playing with her at all, “there are rules.”
Alexandria lowered the bottle, her heart pounded heavily as she listened.
“I’m in charge of your pleasure. Completely. You don’t touch yourself unless I give you permission. You don’t come unless I allow it. You answer to me, in this house, and when we’re alone. If you misbehave, you’ll be punished. And this stays strictly between us. No one can ever know; not your friends, not your family. No one.”
He paused, letting the weight of his words settle over her.
"You’re still my student. I’m still your professor. That doesn’t change outside these walls. If at any point you want to stop, you say so. I won’t be angry. But once we start, I expect honesty. I expect obedience. And I expect you to understand exactly what you’re agreeing to.”
He stepped closer, tilting her chin up gently with two fingers so she had to meet his eyes. She was trembling badly and her breath was faltering so much she felt like she wasn't breathing at all. He was so tall, so regal, so intimidating, and he was standing right in front of her, telling her to hand over her freewill to him.
“You can change your mind right now, Alexandria. My driver can take you home. No hard feelings. This is your last chance to walk away.” he said.
The silence stretched between them.
Every rational part of her screamed to leave. To protect herself before he ruined her completely. But she was already ruined, she was gone; a finished girl. She shook her head slowly, and her voice was barely audible as she responded.
“I don’t want to leave.”
Jonathan’s eyes darkened with something deep and possessive. He studied her face for another long moment, then gave a single nod.
