Chapter 925 Chapter 925

Chapter 925 Chapter 925
Marie stood outside the door, waiting for Sagan to come out. The princess had given him new clothes, but he had refused to let her help him choose something and get dressed.

She had tossed his Spider-Man mask in with his filthy clothes. Her biggest fear was that there wouldn’t be enough left to repair it. If need be, she knew the princess would find a way to get him a new one; she just didn’t know what she was going to do with it until he had it. He went nowhere without his mask on. He even wore it around her and the others most of the time.

She heard voices. Glancing at the door, she decided she had time to see if it was Cassius bringing the others.

When she stepped out of the hall, she froze. A wolf stood inside the entrance, and she was sure it was a very real one and not a shifter.

He spotted her. With his ears up and his tail moving, he came toward her. She held her breath, unsure of what she should do.

“Daigo.” A tall woman with blond hair pulled into a tight, neat ponytail came out of the room beside the entrance. Her hair was so long, even with it pulled back, that she must sit on it, Marie thought.

The wolf turned and bounded over to her. Dropping his front down, his butt in the air, he wagged his tail so hard his body wiggled. She squatted and rubbed his head. “You have to be good. No running around on your own.”

The wolf sat down.

“Look at the size of you.” Nichelle came from the other hallway. “Did you guys feed him growth formula?”

Daigo spun around excitedly and then ran toward Nichelle. His paws slipped on the floor. Nichelle dropped down to her knees and caught him when he slid into her. “You are so big.” He licked her face and rubbed his head into her chest. She looked at Marie. “It’s okay. This is Daigo. One of ours saved him when he was a tiny pup.” She motioned to the other woman. “This is Pasha. She brought him back here because they had no way to corral him now that the snow is leaving.”

Blaise came out of the room. She had a collar in her hand. “We’ll just put it on loosely until Shaelan has time to put a tracker in him.” She handed it to Nichelle.

Marie was torn between waiting for Sagan and going over to pet a real wolf.

“Rhogue.”

She turned to see Sagan standing outside the door. The pants were a little big on him, but at least they were clean. The speed he was growing, they wouldn’t be for long. He had the hood pulled up, so his hair and the material hung over the side of his face. “Come here,” she smiled. “Meet Daigo. He’s a real wolf.” The one eye could see rounded.

“Really?” He hurried toward her.

Daigo wasn’t very happy having something around his neck. He was trying to shake it off, and then he noticed Sagan standing there. He bounded toward him in what Marie could only think of as play mode. His paws slid on the floor, and he couldn’t stop, so he bowled Sagan over.

She sucked in a breath until she heard him laughing. Saga didn’t even notice his hood had been pushed back, and his face was visible. It was good to see him being a boy.

After a few minutes, Daigo spun around and ran back to Nichelle.

Sagan got up, and she knew the moment he realized his face was visible. He stiffened and then hung his head down while he tried to get his hair and the hood back in place to cover his face.

Blaise was standing there, watching him. When he smoothed his hair over the discolored skin on one side of his face, she looked at Marie and then went over to him. She squatted down in front of him. “What’s your name?”

“Sagan.” He turned his head so the hood covered that side of his face.

She nodded and brushed the hair back from her face, revealing that one side of her face was covered in dark, patchy skin. “I’m Blaise. It’s okay to be different.” She turned her head and pointed to the darker side of her face. “Know what this means?”

He shook his head.

She pulled her hair up and secured it with an elastic around her wrist. “It means I’m not one type of tiger,” she smiled at him. I’m two types of big, strong tigers.”

“Really? Do you think I’m tigers? Tigers would be cool.”

Bair laughed. “I’ll shift later and can show you my cat if you want.”

He nodded.

She reached up, pushed the hood back, and brushed the hair out of his eyes. “Do you think you’re brave enough to get a blood test done?”

His brows furrowed as he considered it. “How do they get my blood? Do they cut off my arm? I like my arms.” He lifted them up and down.

Blaise lauded. “You get to keep your arms. They use a tiny needle.”

Sagan looked at Marie for permission. She nodded. “Okay.” Sagan nodded. “I can do that.”

Blaise stood up. “You know, I’m the Alpha for any mixed shifters that want a clan.”

“Really? If I have two tigers, could you be my Alpha?”

Blaise nodded.

“Do I get to stay with Cassius?”

Blaise nodded again. “Of course. It just means that if I call, you come running. Having a clan means you are protected. Got it?”

He nodded his head very quickly.

“Come find me later, and I’ll show you how awesome being two tigers is.” She pulled out her phone and then looked at Pasha. “Deacon will be here in a few minutes with Grifter.”

Sagan ran over to Marie, his face still visible. “Did you hear that? Two tigers. I want to be two tigers.” He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight. Looking up at her, his brows dropped. “Blaise can be your Alpha, too, Rhogue.”

Marie smiled at her and then looked over to see Blaise watching them. “That would be cool,” she rubbed the top of his head. “Let’s go get you something to eat.”

He released her and took her hand. He was holding his head up, his hair still hung down, but he wasn’t trying to cover his face. Later, when she was alone, she’d cry happy tears for him. Right now, she needed to get him fed.

There was an Alpha and clan for mixed shifters. She’d never heard of such a thing. Other than rogue groups, her kind were ignored or unwelcome. Maybe everything she’d gone through was worth it to get to this place right now, where all the rules were being rewritten.
