It's Monday morning! My favorite day of the week. Note the sarcasm.
My awesome weekend with Lucian finally came to an end. Left to me, I'd prolong it but then, education calls.
After Lucian dropped me off at school, he took off, saying he had some business to deal with. Though the weather was hot, I was dressed in a hoodie with the hood pulled over my head in an attempt to hide from my pesty friends.
They'd practically coerce me to give them a detailed explanation of my trip with Lucian and I'd rather not waste my little energy reliving my weekend.
Can't believe my lovely weekend has to end just for me to be back to this hell hole. I muttered under my breath as I walked along the busy hallway.
My little escape plan was working just fine till a body crashed into me from behind.
Turning back, I saw the three musketeers. In this case, my friends.
I blinked at them like a deer caught in headlights, my eyes unusually wide while I considered another escape plan.
All good for trying to escape them. I need to watch that movie Escape Plan to learn some techniques since my pea sized brain has failed me. I mentally concluded when it finally settled in that there was no way out.
"Ooh…err... hi guys.” I chirped like a bird that swallowed a lump.
They all stared at me blankly with raised brows and I mentally face palmed.
"Alright. Hit me.” My shoulders slumped in defeat.

"Did you guys have sex?"
"Are you pregnant?"
"I'll be the godfather?"
"No! I'll be the godmother"
"The babies will be so cute.” They all screamed. Everyone in the hallway looked at us like we've gone crazy.
Earth! You can now open up and swallow me.
"Shut up!" I whispered-yelled and they all kept shut instantly.
"No. We didn't have sex. I'm not pregnant. But what the hell?” I gave them my best annoyed face. "You still wanna scream some more?" I stared at them blankly.
"Wait…so nothing happened?" Chris asked.
I raised my brows at him like *didn't you get anything I just said?*
"No!!! You just ruined my chances of becoming an uncle to the cutest baby that'll ever be born.” He cried out, feigning sobs.
We all looked at him and burst into fits of laughter.
"I hate you.” He murmured with a straight face.
"Aww...I love you baby.” I pecked his cheeks, hugging him.
"Don't worry, you can still be an uncle to Lexi and Paige's babies.” I added releasing him from the hug.
"No. They won't be as cute as yours and Lucian's.” They both smacked his head and I snickered. "You and Lucian are just so cute.” He added googly eyes at me.
I chuckled and attempted to ruffle his hair but he slapped my hand away.
Yeah... dude doesn't like his hair being touched. Weird, I know.
"Well, we still want to know what you did throughout the weekend. I'm sure it was interesting seeing that you look like a ball of sunshine.” Lexi waggled her brows and I face palmed.
I thought they'd let it go already.

I made it till lunch break without being able to escape the psychopaths I call friends. They literally drained all my energy from recounting my weekend over and over again.
I was so hungry I could eat the whole cafeteria. So immediately the bell went off for break, I pulled them to the cafeteria to get lunch.
We got there and settled at our usual table after getting food. I was in the midst of devouring the heavenly goodness called food when the chair next to me made a scraping noise and a human dropped in.
I could look to know who it was but I wasn't about to stop eating my food.
Nuh-uh. It ain't happening.
Thankfully, whoever it was let me finish my food before they decided to discuss whatever business brought them to me.
Looking up, I was pleasantly surprised to see Jake.
Well not surprised but I'm sure you know the dude isn't patient enough to have waited.
Seems this change worked in your favor. I definitely like new Jake. My subconscious concluded.
"Hi.” I grinned, wiping my mouth with a napkin.
"You finally noticed me.” He smiled "Yeah. Had to take care of my baby.” I patted my stomach and he chuckled.
"You just hurt my feelings.” He feigned shock.
"I'm sure they can be mended with just a little glue or would you rather I sew them up with a needle and thread?" I waved my hand in the air to show it wasn't an important issue.
"You hate me that much huh?"
"Nah. I love you more than you can imagine.” I smiled sweetly.
We continued bickering till the break was over. I made my way to my next class, thankfully, alone. The psychopaths had gotten what they wanted. I was now free!

The rest of the day flew by quickly and it was finally closing. I trudged outside in hopes of seeing Lucian since he brought me to school but he was nowhere to be found. I was just about to sit and wait for him but Jake waved me over.
He offered me a ride which I accepted, making a mental note to call Lucian when I get home.
Getting home, I thanked him before going in. I got into the house and beelined for my room.
On opening the door, I saw him on the bed. A gasp flew from my lips as I stepped back in shock till I hit the door.
"Ho-how…"
"Do you really need an answer to that?" His deep voice interrupted.
Pocket knife.
"When?"
"After you left school.” My brows knitted together in confusion. "I saw you in his car so I came here to wait for you.” He explained.
"Why did you break into my house? Again?” I folded my hands across my chest and glared at him.
Instead of giving me an answer, he got up from the bed and slowly walked towards me.
Getting to me, he circled his arms around my waist and hoisted me on his hips. My legs instinctively wrapped around his waist and my arms around his neck.
"I wanted to see you.” He stared into my eyes.
My heart skipped a beat. Damn him and his looks.
"Ya you could have just waited for me outside, yunno.”
"I wanted to make myself comfortable.”
"On. My. Bed?" I cocked a brow.
"Mmmhmmm.” He smirked before bringing his lips to mine. God knows I couldn't resist him. Not that I was planning to anyway.
He broke from the kiss before moving to the bed and sitting on it so I was straddling him.
"I have to be away for some time.” He stared into my eyes.
"Why?"
"Business.”
Urghhh.
"Do you really have to go? Can't your dad get it done himself?"
He shook his head, implying no.
"I have to go.” He added.
I looked away from his eyes and stared at my legs.
My mind was now clouded with doubt.
What if he leaves and shuts me out again?
What if he never comes back?
As if sensing my worries, he lifted my chin so I was staring at him again.
"I'm never letting you go. And Val will be here if that'll make you feel better.”
Maybe just a little.
"You won't shut me out?" I asked skeptically.
"I'll try not to.”
That triggered my anger.
I tried getting off his legs but he wouldn't let me.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" I yelled out in frustration and anger.
"I can't promise I'll always be there to answer your calls but if I'm less busy I'll do.” He replied calmly.
That didn't get anywhere in trying to pacify me.
"How long will you be gone?" I asked in the calmest voice I could manage.
"It depends on how long it'll take for me to be done"
All I could do was nod and try to get off him but he wouldn't let me. So I looked away from him.
"Baby, look at me.”
I still didn't acknowledge him. He exhaled before pulling my chin gently to face him but still my eyes wouldn't meet his.
He tried kissing me but I wouldn't open up so he bit my bottom lip hard and I opened up. He licked it and sucked on it eliciting a moan from me.
He kissed me like he was savouring the moment.
"I'm never leaving you. You're mine.” He whispered into my ear after breaking from the kiss.
