KRIS:
Lucian had just given me a tour of the house and if I thought it was beautiful the previous night, it was definitely better than that in the daytime.
"I love this place so much. Best trip ever.” I chirped as we rounded the corner and made our way to the patio.
I slumped on a couch and he followed suit.
"My mom loved this place. It was her favorite property.” He stared into space.
Huh?
He'd never really talked about his parents and he was always so tense whenever a comment about them came up.
It felt good to finally hear him talk about his mom although he still looked tense.
"Doesn't she like it anymore?" I asked as he'd referred to her in the past tense. "It's really nice.” I added.
"She can't like it when she's dead. Can she?” He asked, still staring into space.
Wait, What?
"You...you lost…your mum is dead?" I stuttered.
He was silent as reality sank into me.
Oh God.
I might not share his pain but I knew how it felt to lose a parent. Losing my dad was hard for me to get over.
I wrapped my arms around him and rested my head on his shoulder.
"Why did you bring me here?" I asked in a small voice. "I mean, if you know it'll remind you of her, why?" I added.
"I wanted to. She was always cheerful like you are. She would have loved you.”
I should say sorry but I didn't. People hate that word when they're grieving. It doesn't bring back the dead. It's only a sign of pity.
So, I wrapped my arms tightly around him.
"Thanks for sharing that little part of your past with me.”
He only nodded before lifting me on his shoulders and walking towards the house.
I could tell, the death of his mom affected him.
Maybe that's why he's cold to people? I wondered.
He walked into the house and got to the kitchen before dropping me. There was a man dressed in a chef's attire there already.
Wait...if there's a chef, that means there are maids around and we were outside fooling around last night. Oh God. Someone might have seen us. My eyes widened as the realization sank into me.
"Good morning Miss.” The chef greeted me.
"Errr... morning,.” I muttered nervously.
"Maco.” The chef completed it. "Just call me Maco.”
"Okay...Maco.” I tested the name.
"What would you like for breakfast?" Maco asked.
He seemed very cheerful. For someone that worked for Lucian, he didn't seem to be awkward or tight-lipped in his presence. I liked it.
Turning to Lucian, I saw he was typing away on his phone.
"Would you like anything?" I asked him.
"Whatever you want.” He absentmindedly replied.
"Okay… surprise me Maco.” I grinned at him and he smiled back, displaying his white teeth.
"With all pleasure ma'am.” He saluted with two fingers making me laugh.
With that, he turned towards the counter and began his art.
That's what it felt like, watching him cook.
Arms wrapped around me and spun me away from watching Maco.
I was facing Lucian who had an expressionless look on his face as he moved between my legs, arms still around my waist.
"You're tempting me, aren't you?" He whispered against my lips.
"Huh…how?" My brows furrowed in confusion.
"You were flirting with my chef in my presence.”
I cocked my brow as if to ask, Did I?
"I was just being polite.” I grinned "Yeah?" He asked and I nodded before his lips met mine and he kissed me passionately.
His hands moved from my waist to my bare thighs, moving over the denim shorts I was wearing till they got to the waist.
He plunged his tongue into my mouth, tasting me as his hands hovered over the button of the shorts. He was about to unbutton it when I stilled.
"Lu… Angel...y-you can't.” I couldn't tell how my brain was able to form that sentence, seeing that I was mushy on the inside.
"Dare me.” He smirked against my lips as my eyes widened and I gulped.
Raising his head, he pecked my cheek before spinning the stool around, making me face the island. And my food was there, with Maco gone.
There were two plates of bacon, eggs and cheese sandwich with two cups of coffee.
Lucian sat beside me and we ate in comfortable silence. I polished off my food in no time and went ahead to steal some from his plate. He chuckled, shaking his head. I ended up sharing his food with him and he let me.
After eating, I packed the plates to the sink and was about to wash them but a maid came in immediately, telling me she'd clean up.
Lucian held my hand and pulled me upstairs to his room.
"What do you wanna do today?" He asked, sitting on the bed and pulling me to straddle him.
"Sleep with you.” I blinked innocently.
"Okay.”
Huh?
He laid on the bed and pulled me on his chest.
"You're no fun Angel.” I pouted and he let out a deep chuckle.
"You little tease.” He smacked my ass and I moaned in response.
"Don't do that again.” He growled and I smirked.
"Why Angel?” I purred.
Next thing I knew, he was hovering over me. He lowered his head and I licked my lips in anticipation of the kiss. Just as his lips touched mine, he bit my lower lip before whispering in my ear,
"You're asking for it.”
Getting off me, he laid on the bed next to me. My mind was still in a haze but his next words broke through.
"We're going on a date tomorrow. Make up for the ruined one.”
"Ohh...errr...I didn't bring a dress for such an outing.”
"We'll go shopping tomorrow.”
"Okay.” I pecked his cheek before leaving the bed.
Getting to the bathroom door, I turned and said "Join me if you wish" before sauntering in.
All the while, I could feel eyes on me.
Ha! Take that.
