Chapter 110 Cabin In The Woods.
Chapter 110 Cabin In The Woods.
Asher’s POV
My body ached a bit as I dragged myself off the comfortable bed I was lying on and looked around the room.
It was so cozy and warm that I couldn't help but wrap my arms around myself with a smile on my lips. The wooden floor creaked a bit when I walked around and I gently placed my hands on the walls.
It looked so…
I noticed I was wearing Roman's shirt and my briefs, which meant he must have changed my clothes when we arrived.
My face flushed at the thought and I couldn't help but hug his shirt even tighter as I made my way out of the room.
“Roman?” I called out once again as I stepped outside and audibly gasped.
This was beautiful… Where was this place?
The sun was just setting in the sky, casting an orange glow over the cabin with trees surrounding the place.
I heard steady footsteps coming from behind me and the next second, arms wrapped around my waist, his familiar cologne enveloping my nose.
“You're finally awake.” He whispered as he kissed my cheek gently, and I turned to look at him, a happy smile on his face.
“Where are we?” I asked softly as I wrapped my arms around him and he tilted his head with a smile on his lips.
“What do you think?”
“I don't know, honestly. It looks like a cabin… But how are we here? Where exactly are we?” I couldn't help but ask and he shrugged as he buried his face in my shoulders.
“Ro…?”
“This is my mom's cabin.” He finally explained as he pulled back. “It's a long story but let's not talk about it right now. I already told mom too so she doesn't mind.”
I had a lot of questions but I chose to plant a soft kiss on his lips instead as I buried my face in his chest.
“Is mom mad about our suspension?” I asked and he chuckled softly as he shook his head.
“I told her everything. The whole truth and our crazy plan. She wasn't mad, she even supported our crazy plan.” He muttered with a soft laugh and I couldn't help but laugh too.
“Perfect.”
“I made dinner.” He suddenly said and my eyes widened. “Why do you look at me like that?”
“You made dinner?” I asked in disbelief as I stared at him, blinking and he rubbed the back of his neck gently.
“I did. I swear it tastes good.” He muttered, a look of nervousness on his face and I couldn't help but smile widely.
“I'm so fucking excited to taste it.” I said excitedly as I took his hand and he hesitated, a look of worry on his face.
“You know what, we should probably just order takeout—”
“No, hell no!” I muttered with a frown and he looked away. “I want to eat what you made. Please, babe.”
“I feel so self-conscious now… But alright.” He finally agreed and my lips curved into a wide smile as I nodded.
He walked over to the kitchen while I grabbed my phone from inside, noting that his birthday was only 6 days away.
I had to call Mom and also let Ethan know about the surprise I had for him. I couldn't do it alone… or everything would be ruined.
The delicious scent of food filled the cabin and my stomach grumbled in anticipation as I rubbed my hands in delight.
“It smells so freaking good!” I praised him as he placed it on a small table by the side. I sat on the ground, right by the table and he sat beside me, a smile on his face.
“Spicy chicken spaghetti for my boyfriend.” He muttered and my eyes widened when he took the lid off, a soft gasp leaving my lips.
Oh my fucking goodness.
Not only did it smell so good but it also looked so fucking good.
“I am…” I muttered, looking so dumbfounded. “You made this?”
“Yeah. Try it.” He replied in expectation and I stared at him for a moment before nodding.
I took the fork by the side and scooped a spoonful but before I could eat it, he stopped me. Then he gently blew on it, so it wouldn't burn my lips and I stared at him lovingly.
“This feels like a honeymoon.” I confessed as he finally let my hand go and he chuckled softly.
He watched as I took the fork into my mouth and I literally froze, my body going rigid for a few seconds.
“Baby?” He called out softly when I finally pulled out the empty fork from my mouth, chewing on the food in my mouth. “What's wrong? Is it not good?”
I didn't reply, I couldn't even bring myself to speak as I just stared at the table.
“Fuck, did I make it too spicy? Why are you crying?” He sounded so worried as he inched closer to me, wanting to take the fork from me but I shook my head.
“It… tastes like my mom's…” I whispered, looking up at him again and his gaze softened. “I could never cook it this way… no one knew how to make it as perfect as she did. But you… how did you…?”
“Oh, baby…” He muttered as he pulled me into his arms and I buried my face in my chest. A soft whimper of longing left my lips as he held me even tighter.
We stayed that way for about five minutes before I finally pulled away, taking the fork and eating once again. A few tears rolled down my cheeks as I ate even more and when I was finally done, he wiped my tears and lips gently.
“I love you.” I whispered as he held my chin gently and he smiled in satisfaction. “I love you so fucking much that I don't know what I'll do if you leave—”
“We'll never know, love. Because I'm not gonna leave you. I promise.” He cut me off with a soft kiss on the lips and I couldn't help but smile. “I love you so much, alright? Forever and always.’
I finally pulled away and took his hand, making him look at me with raised brows as I made him get up.
Then I pulled him to the bed, a twinkle in his eyes as he stared at me with lots of questions.
“Love, what are you doing?”
“What do you think?” I whispered as I pushed him onto the bed and started to take my clothes off.
