Chapter 32 What can we say, welcome, bad wolf!; 🐺✨️
Kael had just crossed the ridge of the mountain when his ears began to pick up the commotion of hunters miles away. They had surrounded Eva's mountain house. There was no scenario where they had captured Eva, but before him were hunters frantically searching everywhere. Stress and fear were practically dripping from their pant legs. With his amber eyes, he watched them from atop the mountain. He couldn't sense Eva's energy or her scent. It was obvious she wasn't here, but the rage inside him was enough to tear all these hunters apart.

He raised his head and howled with a deep growl. His savage howl had enveloped the entire valley. He extended his claws and just as he was about to make a move to leap toward the foothills, he sensed that small wolf's scent from meters away.

"Bad blood!" he growled and turned toward the forest. He tore through the forest rapidly and finally leaped onto Nancy in her human form. Nancy had fallen to the ground, her small body crushed beneath Kael's two paws. Her jet-black hair, lost in the night, had fallen across her pale skin. She was terrified but trying to hold her tail up. To appear brave, she bared her teeth and snarled at him with the gray halos in her eyes.

Kael's amber eyes burned like fire. Suddenly, Nancy began to hear the alpha's voice in her brain.

So brave, bad blood! Did they leave you behind? Where is my mate!

Nancy gritted her teeth against the voice pounding her brain. "He left me to greet you. If you get off me, we can talk," she said.

Kael snarled toward her face with rage. Nancy's heart was beating rapidly.

How did they know I wouldn't tear you apart in a second? he growled into her mind.

Nancy smiled through her teeth, wanting to appear strong. "Because my brother said when it comes to your mate, you won't make mistakes!" she said.

Kael withdrew his claws with a rumble and stepped back. "Speak, bad blood! Don't test my patience because I'm not a patient being."

It seemed Christmas preparations had begun. Welcome to Christmas Eve.
Ahh, in this crazy town we all carry the Christmas spirit. Even if it's a bit bloody and savage...

Meanwhile, at the Demon's Castle;

Joe pulled on his pants and a thick lumberjack shirt. Elly was waiting by Eva's side. He sat on the large stone table standing in a corner of the castle's great hall, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Tomorrow night when the clock strikes twelve, the seal will be completed. The alpha king and Homay's light will return to the valley," he said.

But Elly didn't even turn her gaze toward him. Her anger was clearly evident.

Then he remembered the guardian song Elly used to hum when they were children years ago. The moonlight of the night filtered through the stone castle's windows, hitting Joe's pale skin in the shadow of his jet-black hair. A smile formed on his handsome face, his lips curved slightly. And he began to murmur the words with a melodic tone.

'The alpha king found his light, the seal awakened, the curse cast away. Awaken, ancient alpha's pack, awaken, guardians' magic. Rose woman brings fertility. And to this alpha, a tiny pack of wolves.'

Elly tried to stop herself but couldn't hold back, and began to giggle. Once upon a time, in her tiny dress, she would wander around the entire town square humming this song. Now it seemed funny with Joe's masculine voice.

"You think you're funny?" she said.

Joe laughed. "I'm not, but you were very funny and sweet when you sang this song," he said.

Elly shook her head. "Do you think it will happen?" she asked.

"What will happen?" said Joe.

"The alpha's pack is hundreds of years old. We don't know who they are or what they're like. Will they really awaken?" Then she thought for a bit. "The last remaining guardians are me and my grandmother. This whole ancient guardians and great powers thing still feels foreign." Then she let out a deep laugh. "And Kael and Eva's tiny wolves, reddish-brown and gray don't match very well. What color do you think they'll be?" she said.

Now Joe was laughing too. They both started laughing while looking at each other.

After a moment, Joe's face fell. In all of this, the scenario for them was clear. They would continue their lives as bad blood and unloved people. Perhaps the awakening pack would want to kill them. He wasn't thinking about himself, but Nancy's smiling face appeared in his eyes. He would never allow harm to come to his sister.

Meanwhile, in Eva's Mind;

Eva opened her eyes with an image in her mind, Homay's light slowly awakening in her brain. She was walking barefoot on grass. Ahead was a large blue hyacinth, enormous in size, and beneath it two wolf pups were playing. One was a bit larger, big-headed; the other was thinner and smaller, clearly female. Their jet-black fur gleamed.

She approached a bit closer. "Joe and Nancy? What will happen?" she murmured.

Soon, blue light dust from the hyacinth scattered over these wolf pups. Eva's eyes widened. Because the two pitch-black wolf pups before her had transformed into two gray wolves. The silver halos in their eyes were now brighter.

"Were they purified? Did you forgive them? What changed, Homay?"

Just then, she was pulled into a void and opened her eyes to the light of the blue crystals in the great hall of the castle. She had awakened from a deep sleep, breathless. Elly, right beside her, gripped her hands tightly. She pulled her close and hugged her.

"Thank God you're okay, Eva!" she said.

Eva looked around. She understood she was somewhere else, but what really upset her was what she remembered last. The purple halos in her eyes blazed and mystical purple flames rose from her palms.

"Stay away from me, Elly. I don't want you to get hurt," she said, and with a surge of energy pushed Elly forward. She turned her eyes directly to Joe. She approached him with the flames emanating from her palms.

"Give me a reason not to kill you, bad blood," she said.

Joe felt longing more than fear, somehow. Even though he couldn't make sense of this state, he smiled. "The old witch inside is talking. The new Eva didn't want to kill me. She even protected me at the cost of her life," he said.

Eva's gray hair whipped in her own wind. "Then you must be aware that only that young girl no longer exists," she said. "You wanted to harm me! You drugged me! What was your purpose—to break the seal?" she shouted.

The flames in her hands intensified as she approached him. Elly got up from where she had been dazed. She ran to Eva, but an energy surrounded Eva. She couldn't get close.

"Okay, let's calm down. They were going to attack the mountain house at dawn, he kidnapped you to protect you," she said.

A vengeful spirit had awakened on Eva's face. Her lips curved in a mocking smile. "He can protect me? Who do you think is the most powerful person in this room?" she said. The halos in her eyes were blazing more intensely. The flame in her palms had completely covered her arms.

Then she turned back to Joe. "What was your purpose, Joe?"

But Joe didn't need to answer. The purple flames in Eva's hands struck the blue crystals on the castle walls, and a great rune awakened on the ceiling of the enormous hall. In blue lights, inside a large triangle was an inverted moon.

"Yabız Börü," Eva murmured.

Elly recognized this term from the old journals. Her eyes widened as she looked at the symbol on the ceiling. Joe was astonished. This place had suddenly come to his mind when he wanted to protect Eva. And to tell the truth, he had brought her here without having a complete plan. He just knew he had to bring her here. That's how he felt.

He swallowed and saw Elly's understanding look.

"What does this mean? What's happening?" he said.

Elly turned her eyes to Joe. "Bad wolf," she said. The words came from her lips with difficulty. "The first transformed guardian alpha!"

Now they were all facing what Christmas had brought under this mystical rune with astonishment...

It seemed a new alpha had entered the valley. What can we say, welcome, bad wolf!
