Alpha's Revenge
Turning just in time, I moved out of the way of a punch that would have landed on the back of my head by stooping low and sweeping her legs from under her, causing her to fall. As a wolf, she should have been able to recover quickly, but she wasn’t expecting me to be able to react as quickly as I did, and she lost her balance and fell hard on the floor.
“Didn’t I already warn you about sneaking up on an Alpha? I may be in this collar, but I’m not completely useless. What’s your excuse?” I say with a frown on my face and a snarl on my lips. “If you want to challenge me, then do so in the correct manner. I know that you won’t though, because you know that if he ever takes this collar off of me, your life will be over. Now, I’m going to tell you this one last time, never try that shit again unless you have a damn death wish. That goes for your little friends too and anyone else that thinks they are allowed to attack or touch me without my permission.” As I turn to walk away again, I noticed some of the males pale at my statement. They didn’t think I noticed their lustful looks or comments that they thought I couldn’t hear.
Once I’m back in my room, I take another shower and then change into my pajamas and make sure that my door is locked before climbing into bed. I’ve been doing that ever since a short time after I came here, one of the warriors tried sneaking into my room. He made it to my bed and just as he lifted the covers, I grabbed his other hand and bent it back breaking his wrist. That was the first time I was beaten. I didn’t care though. I’d gladly take a beating if it means preserving my virginity. Nobody was touching me that wasn’t my mate, and even he is not allowed to touch me until I’ve had my revenge, so I hope to not meet him until then.
The next morning there is knocking at my door and I get up yawning as I shuffle to the door. The only person that ever knocks is that girl I met when I first came here. Her name is Talia but I hardly see her anymore. Before opening the door, I sniff the air and know that it isn’t Talia on the other side and I frown. “What do you want?” I ask with annoyance.
“The Alpha wants to see you in his office.” What the hell does he want this early in the morning? I ask myself.
“Fine. I’ll be there as soon as I change my clothes. Give me five minutes.” I say and walk away from the door.
Going into my closet, I put on a bra and pull out a pair of jeans and a long blue t-shirt. Once I’m dressed, I slip on my sneakers and head down to the Alpha’s office. He tells me to come in before I can knock and I walk into the room. Standing there looking sad and hurt is Tabitha and there are also two guards on either side of her smirking at me. Malcolm is behind his desk and looking at me with lust in his eyes as usual. Rolling my eyes, I just sighed and stood there waiting for him to speak.
“Reigna, it seems we have a bit of a problem,” he says.
“And what would that be?” I said to him.
“Tabitha here tells me that you broke her nose the other day. Is this true?” he asks me.
“Yes, that’s true. Would it matter if I said that she pulled my hair while I was trying to go back to my room and stay out of the way like you told me to do?” I asked him.
“You know that you are not allowed to attack pack members. You’ll have to be punished.”
“Let me get this straight. So, she is allowed to attack me when I’m trying to obey your orders, but I’m not allowed to defend myself? Is that what you’re telling me?”
“I can’t have my future Luna attacking pack members. The pack needs to know that their Luna isn’t going to attack them but protect them,” he says. Umm I must be hearing things.
“What did you just say?!” Tabitha and I shouted at the same time.
“How the hell is she going to be the Luna?” says Tabitha at the same time as I say,
“Like hell will I be your Luna! If I am your mate, know this, I am rejecting you without hesitation. The Moon Goddess wouldn’t give me you as a mate. Nobody deserves that fate. Take Tabitha because she clearly wants you.” I shouted.
“See! She has no respect for you, which means she has none for this pack, so why would you choose her as your Luna? I have been by your side this entire time, and you chose some girl who is wanted for crimes within her own pack over me. What the hell Malcolm?” she shouts.
“KNOW YOUR PLACE!” He yells in his Alpha voice and everyone in the room submits by showing their necks to him except for me. “She is the only one worthy of being my Luna whether she is my mate or not.” He says giving me a pointed look. “And she will be my Luna on her 21st birthday.”
