"Wasn't that a bit harsh?" Amy asked Cole as they stepped out of the school building.
Cole snickered. "That's the mildest punishment I could ever give someone messing with my son," he responded as they got to the car and he opened the car door for her. Butterflies filled Amy's stomach. Not just for his gesture, but the way he handled the situation of their son. She got into the car and settled in.
Cole joined her as he turned on the ignition. " Tris is at school, so, we have the whole day to ourselves. What do we do now?" He asked her.
She was puzzled. Did he just say he wanted to spend the day with her? Yes, they had sex before and it had meant everything to her, but they had not talked about it or address what they were, despite being mates. It tormented her at night, but she couldn't bring herself to talk about it.
"Do you not have to be at work today?" She asked him.
He chuckled. "I'm the owner of my company, Amy. I don't need to be there every day. Besides, my beta would see to it that nothing goes wrong while I'm away," he responded.
"Okay, so what do you want to do?" She asked him.
He smiled genuinely. "I think I have an idea," he replied.

"Where are you taking me?" Amy asked Cole for the upteenth time. They've been driving for a while.
"You'll see," he replied with a smile.
"Cole.." she was curious and nervous at the same time. What if where he was taking her, she wasn't properly dressed for it?
"Trust me, okay?" He said to her with a sparkle of reassurance in his eyes as he placed his hand on hers.
She felt goosebumps as she smiled a little and nodded. They finally got off the road and came down to a narrowed lane. Soon, he stopped and parked the car.
He got out of it and walked over to her side and opened the car door. "Come on," he urged her as she stepped out of the car.
"Thank you," she whispered to him. She looked around the lonely road with surrounding trees. He sensed her tension and he gingerly placed his hand on her arm.
"Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you," he assured her.
"I know you won't hurt me, Cole. You definitely didn't bring me out here to murder me," she replied with a chuckle and he grinned. The only thing she was worried about was why he brought her here. "I just want to know why we're here," she added.
"Then come on. Come see for yourself," he grinned as he held her hand and pulled her away from the car. He pulled her into the woods and was practically running. More like quick, light steps. He felt so free and gay.
She chuckled. "Slow down, mister. It's hard keeping up with your long legs," she said.
He laughed and never had she seen him this way. He finally stopped running as they came across an enclosed space. He let go of Amy's hand as he used his hands to push away the leaves branches of the Grove and asked Amy to go in.
Without persuasion, she walked into the space and she was blinded by the magical fortress this Grove entailed. She gasped in awe as she saw water gushing out of a rock, covered with beautiful flowers, like a waterfall and flowing into a lake. Beside it and around were palm and coconut trees. Birds of different colors fluttered around. The beautiful hyacinth macaws perched elegantly on branches. It was a beautiful sight to behold.
Amy placed her hands over her mouth. "This is beautiful," she mouthed.
Cole heard her and he walked over to her, wrapping his arms around her. "This is the place I come to whenever I needed to think. Since I discovered here as a little child, it has been my secret abode," he said to her.
She was still breathless. "Nobody knows about this place and I haven't brought anyone here before," he added.
Except me! Amy's wolf sang in her head. Amy swallowed hard. What did it all mean? What was Cole trying to say? What message was he passing across by bringing her here? He had said before that he only wanted to be with his son, but now, everything was swiveling around them. From having an unplanned sex, how did they end up here?
Amy turned around and wanted to ask the so many questions lingering on her mind. "When last did you let your wolf out?" He asked her with a devilish smile.
"It's been so long, I don't know how it feels like anymore," she replied, smiling back. Maybe she would ask the questions some other time.
His eyes reflected his wolf's one. "Shall we?" He asked her and Amy knew what he was talking about. Taking off their clothes, they both shifted, revealing their wolves.
Cole was a big black wolf and Amy was normal brown wolf. A naughty idea came into Amy's mind and she brushed Cole with a paws. "Catch me if you can!" She teased telepathically as she dashed away from him.
"Oh, you're on," he responded as he went after her. Amy tried to avoid his grasp, but Cole was faster than her. In no time, he caught her and her underneath him. He smirked. "You cannot outrun a dark moon,"
"I figured," she replied, panting. "But, that doesn't mean I give up," and with that, she pushed him off with all her might. She attempted to run off again, but she ended up falling into the lake. Cole laughed telepathically at her as he smirked.
In annoyance, she shifted back to human and had a pout on her lips. "What's funny?" She demanded.
He walked closer to her. "You," he said into her head.
"Really?" She inquired as he got to where she was. "I bet you'll think this is funny too," without giving him any clue, she yanked him into the water. He growled. "Now, this is funny," she laughed.
Cole shifted back to human and feigned a scowl. "Pray I do not get you," he said as he advanced towards her.
Amy turned around and tried to escape from the water before he got to her, but he was way too fast. He grabbed her wrist and yanked her back to him. She gasped as her naked breasts flattened against his bare chest.
