Chapter 71 - Being the princess

“Aunt Charlotte, do you have any more doubts about me being Princess Jovita? I think the doctor has already testified the truth.”

We were at the dining table having dinner. Aunt Charlotte looked at me in disbelief.

“Rachel definitely doesn't know the royal etiquette. Look how she is taunting me. We are leaving after dinner.” Aunt Charlotte declared.

“Aunt Charlotte, I apologize if my words hurt you. But you are not leaving tonight. Uncle Herman, notify everyone that we are having an important meeting tomorrow and I am going to make some important announcements. I hope I have the authority to make the decisions and that will not be a problem for anyone. It won't just be a courtroom meeting. Every single member of the pack should be present. No humans should be allowed inside.” I ordered.

“Then you should be the first one to leave this palace. You are the only human present here.” Grace said with a smug.

“Well, I heard that you haven't got your wolf yet. Then how can you be any better than a human?” I fired back.

“It will not be possible to get everyone notified by morning. You have to postpone the meeting.” Uncle Herman said,

“Okay, schedule the meeting for five in the evening.” I said and turned to the butler Mathew Jones.

“Mathew, prepare a grand feast for dinner tomorrow. Long 22 years of waiting is coming to an end. Tomorrow the palace will get a new ruler and the pack a new Alpha.” I said, making everyone shocked.

“A human can never become an Alpha.” Aunt Charlotte retorted.

“Leave that to me, Aunt Charlotte. Have faith in your niece. Tomorrow is going to be really special for everyone. I will be introducing my mate tomorrow.” I said,

“You have a mate? How's that possible when you are a human?” Harry asked for the first time.

“It's not rare to have a human mate. Everyone will get their answers tomorrow.” I said,

“Dad, why don't you invite the Raymonds too? We can announce our engagement too.” Grace said, pointing to Milano making him choke on food.

“I am sorry if I surprised you baby. We are mated by the moon goddess. Then why delay her wish.” Grace patted Milano's back and gave him water.

Uncle Herman agreed to invite Milano's family without any objection. He has become a puppet in Grace's hand. My family has been controlled by this witch and her companions for 22 long years. But not anymore. They are going to pay for their sins. They are going to see a different face of Princess Jovita Coleman tomorrow. They are going to repent for whatever they have done but they will never get forgiveness.

“Sarah, what are you planning to do? Why are you doing this in a hurry and why haven't you told me about this sudden meeting?” Milano lost his patience.

We are currently in my parents' room. I first went to his room and then took him with me to my parents' room. This room has the protection of my mother's magic. Grace or her companions couldn't find the secrets hidden in this room for all these years.

“I want to tell you a lot of things. I don't know where to start. I still have a lot to find out which includes your wife's death. Just ask your parents not to come here tomorrow. I want Liam and Mary to be present on your behalf representing the Raymonds. I just have some speculation and to prove it I need every single member of this pack present for tomorrow's meeting. Even if I couldn't prove anything I will still make an announcement. I will introduce you to my family as my mate. I can't just tolerate Grace near you.” I said,

“Hey, are you being jealous? You know really well that I am just putting up an act to keep her away from you.” He said,

“You can't use the word jealousy in this situation. I'm not jealous but I am definitely angry with her and her partners. Well, I hope tomorrow everything will end for good. My family will accept me with their whole heart.” I said,

“But you said they are being controlled by magic. Then how do you plan to make them know the truth?” Milano asked.

“That's why I need Mary here. I will need her help to take off the magic done on them. I have already informed her about my plan. She will come all prepared.” I said,

“Then why don't you call her today itself?” He asked.

“She needs to make preparations to protect the Raymond mansion. We are not sure that in their absence your family and people will be safe.” I said,

“Then how can I help you in your plan?” He asked.

“Just be with me because you are my strength. I know you will be there as my shield. But I have to warn you. Please don't come between magical fights. Mary will be there to help me with that. If you could just make sure that my family is safe, especially Harry.” I said,

“Why Harry?” He asked.

“His life is in danger. He is a really powerful wolf having all the abilities to become an Alpha. But someone doesn't want that to happen. I want to lift the black magic on him as soon as possible. But I can't do that until tomorrow or else they will know that I know their truth.” I said,

“I know that you know very well who they are. Why are you not telling me?” He asked and I could feel the hurt in his voice.

“I'm sorry love. I can't tell you right now because you are not out of their reach. There is a high probability that Grace will try to get into your bed tonight. I can't even use magic to protect you. But I can do the magic on her. For that, I need your help. Just be nice to her and make her drink this. It's just a normal tranquilizer and it will keep her unconscious till morning.” I said,

“But how am I going to do that?” He asked.

“Don't worry, she will come to your room tonight. Just play smart and make her drink this in your own way. Call me when she is unconscious.” I said before sending him back to his room.

After that, I went back to my room and called Mary. We discussed what we could do tomorrow and how to make everything right. We still don't know who the real brain is behind everything and how powerful they are. After about an hour Milano called me to his room.

Grace was lying unconscious in his bed wearing a see-through nightgown. She definitely came here to seduce Milano. I took her back to her room and erased her memory of what happened in Milano's room. Tonight is going to be a sleepless night for me. But Mary has advised me to get a good sleep before fighting with the evils. So I went back to Milano's room because I felt safe only in his arms.
