Chapter135

He grinned and said, " This will be our daily routine starting tomorrow. It was just a warm-up for you today, as well as a warning of what you've just gotten yourself into."

I rolled my eyes and asked, "Tomorrow?"

"Yes, we're getting married tomorrow morning." He said without warning.

"What?! You didn't tell me! I didn't even prepare anything." I exclaimed in shock.

"Don't worry. I would like a small wedding with just close friends and family. Lizzy will fly back again and Leo has already helped me prepare the venue and sent out invitations." He said, "As for your wedding dress, I had one custom-made for you. It's in the closet in the next room." He added.

I immediately put on a robe and jumped into the next room. He followed behind.

When I opened the closet, I was shaking. This was the most beautiful wedding dress I had ever seen! "Jeremiah! It's so beautiful! But are these real diamonds and gold?!" I gasped.

He nodded and said, "Yes, it cost me about $10 million, but I don't care. I just want you to love it!"

"Oh my God..." I didn't know what to say.

I turned around and gave him a passionate kiss. "Thank you, Jeremiah, but you don't have to spend so much money. I will marry you even without a wedding dress!"

Jeremiah laughed and took me in his arms, "Iris, I love you so, so much." He whispered into my ear.

"I love you too, Jeremiah, maybe not as much as you love me yet, but I love you. I will love you more and more as time goes on." I said, resting my head on his chest.

He led me out of the room and we went to see Lexi in the playroom. Jeremiah told the nannies to leave.

"Lexi, your mommy and daddy are here. Did you miss us?" Jeremiah asked with a smile.

"Mommy! Daddy! Come play with me!" Lexi said. Jeremiah picked her up and we sat together on the carpeted floor.

I smiled, thinking how happy I was to finally be here. I was finally trying to love again, to love my husband and my daughter, to love my father, to love a woman who accepted me as her daughter.

I recalled the day Jeremiah proposed and I told my parents about it. They were very supportive of me. They said that as long as I thought I was making the right choice, I should go for it. Dad said he and Mom would come to California to visit me from time to time. I even texted Harwell and he was happy for me and wished me all the best. He said he would come to my wedding too!

This was what my life was like. This was my life. There were ups and downs, love and hate, evil and good, but we could all be better for each other.

Then I turned to Lexi and said, "Baby, Mommy and Daddy are always by your side! We love you!"

Lexi smiled happily and said, "Happy family!" Tears streamed from my eyes as I nodded, "Yes, happy family!"

"Happily ever after." Jeremaih and I looked back only to find Aiden and Bella had arrived at some point, each with a child in their arms looking at us with a smiling face.

(PS: 3 months after the wedding, I started to feel something uncomfortable in my abdomen. Jeremiah took me to the hospital and we found out that I was pregnant! Jeremiah excitedly asked the doctor if the baby was a boy or a girl and it turns out that my baby was a boy! Lexi would soon have a little brother!

Jeremiah kissed me happily on the cheek and said, "I'm going to make sure he never grows up to break a woman's heart."

I rolled my eyes and said, "Of course, if he turns out to be the old you, I'll be mad.")

And that, in a nutshell, was the story of my life.
