Chapter 92 Their wedding day... On her birthday

Chapter 92 Their wedding day... On her birthday
92\. Their wedding day... On her birthday

"Ginny Williams, I won't repeat myself again," Damien's smoldering gaze appraised her from head to toe with indignation before he pointed at the door behind her. "Take your ass out of my cabin if you don't wish me to throw you out myself.

"Oh, come on," Ginny puffed.

"Go away, don't disturb me."

She took a seat in one of the chairs set for the visitors on this side of the desk as she eyed him irritatingly. They had been having an argument that Damien refused to give in. On the contrary, Ginny was bent on getting an upper hand and also win it against him.

"Why don't you simply answer my questions, Damien?" Dramatically she slapped her hands on the desk to show how pissed she was of him.

"The faster you respond the quicker I will sprint out of your cabin." She leaned forward. "All you have to do is open your arse-like mouth and fart!"

But Damien won't budge. Even towards the choice of her words. He rolled his goldens with a twist of mouth. He started his laptop with a scoff as he said, "Your questions are dumb. I don't find them important enough to answer."

That made Ginny's face cross with a look of surprise. She gritted her mouth and stomped her foot aggressively on the tiles.

"Questions regarding your and Aurora's marriage are not important for you? Are you serious?" her eyes enlarged at his lack of response.

Ever since they resolved their problems and became friends, two weeks back, Ginny had been pushing him to marry Aurora. They were crazily in love. They suited each other like no other two people would do. They were expecting a baby yet there was no sign of a marriage coming in the picture.

Ginny had come to see Aurora after she posed for her first ever photoshoot when she curiously asked her about their marriage plans over two days before she left for another project in Florida.

"Well, Ma heard Damien talk about our marriage a few days back. But he never discussed it with me. I guess she misinterpreted some other conversation." Ginny recalled her fallen face while she expressed her distress as she said that.

They were definitely made for each other. Damien didn't seem like the type to keep Aurora as a concubine carrying his child. He was excited for their baby. Then what was it holding him from putting his ring on her finger? What was preventing him from giving her his surname even though he proudly addressed her as his Mrs. To-be.

"I am waiting for your response, Damien!" Ginny shouted loudly, intending to make him look up from the laptop.

She was exasperated when he didn't. Her fingers clenched and she growled like an animal. A pissed one at that, who was preparing to give it a go and pound on whatever was making it tipsy.

She rose like a maniac and snatched his laptop away from him. It was a dismay that he didn't react as she anticipated him to. She was hoping to see his teeth clenched under his lips, his eyes darkly wide and smoke gushing out of his ears. Ginny didn't notice any such thing, except he leaned back in the chair and rocked it left to right leisurely.

"Are you both going to be bachelor parents?" She asked in a heavy voice laced with anger.

He gave her a 'obviously not' type look with a raise of his brows.

"We will marry." As he spoke, Ginny smirked arrogantly for having him utter something.

"That's good to hear," She placed the laptop in its position and came back to this side of the desk. Right across from him.

She was familiar with this side of Damien. Whenever he portrayed excessive sedateness, it meant that he was all ears. She went back to her seat and after making herself comfortable she extended the conversation.

"Now I want to know exactly when you are planning to marry Aurora? Last time when I asked her about your wedding her face painfully fell and she stated flatly that she was looking forward to hearing from you." That made Damien inch his face upward and stare at his ex-girlfriend now turned into a family friend.

"You asked her?"

"I did. I was curious and hoped I could make it up to Aurora by being her wedding planner and one of her bridesmaids if possible." Ginny said serenely. "You know I am still guilty and hope to pay back to your girlfriend for her kindness. It's because of her I am sitting here, talking to you normally."

A shudder erected her spine at the sight of Damien's unblinking stare. He would not have assumed she would go ask Aurora about the marriage. But she was merely excited and it happened out of sheer excitement.

Hesitantly Ginny joined her fingers in her lap, "It happened before I went to Florida for the photoshoot. I have promised her that I will talk to you regarding your marriage once I returned, so here I am." She forced her lips into a smile.

Damien threw his head back and nibbled his lips. He always did that when he was extremely annoyed at something he could not do much about. It was an expression Ginny was well versed with and the consequences it led to.

As she imagined, Damien flexed his shoulders and eyed her murderously. One of the first consequences. Then she watched him look here and there to reduce his anger to some extent before bringing his eyes to her. What he did next was take a deep gulp of air with a twitch of his lips and start sharing with her what sounded like a well-made plan.

"It's Aura's birthday in three days. All the necessary arrangements are done beforehand. I just had to take her to the shrine across from the high priest and say the marriage vows in the scrutiny of the moon goddess. I have also planned to marry her in the church across from Jesus so we both accept each other in front of both our gods and tie an unbreakable bond of marriage in all the possible ways." Ginny's mouth dropped.

Surprise affected her breathing. She didn't seem to expect this. Damien had arranged things no one would ever be able to guess.

"It is supposed to happen on her birthday. But I can smell the ruins already." His eyes pinned her down with a disappointed gaze. "Tell me what else did you talk to Aurora about?"

"Gladly nothing." Ginny almost screamed. Getting up, she walked over to Damien and nervously smiled, "I had a lot of things to talk with her but I knew it was better if I kept my mouth shut."

"That's not a lie, is that?"

"I swear to myself, it is not." She immediately spilled. "It's just that I was worried about the baby and his legitimacy."

Damien's back steeled. He narrowed his eyes, "What do you mean by legitimacy?"

"Erm, you know a kid born out of a marriage is illegitimate. I was afraid if you never married Aurora then your child must be called as one." She cowardly chewed her lips.

But her worry was justifiable. In their world of werewolves, the pups born out of a marriage were called illegitimate even after the marriages of their parents. Ginny was a kid born before her parents tied a knot. She had a bad experience too.

"That is never happening to my pup," He growled, acknowledging her thoughts. "In fact, we should have gotten married the next day itself after I proposed to her if that wretch (Peter) didn't intervene with his stupid ideas separating us."

Ginny's heart lost a beat. She regrettably lowered her eyes. He may not mention her name, she was equally involved. It was kind of Damien. Even then a part of her body cowardly shrunk.

He happened to notice it and bit his tongue. "Erm, I know it should have happened already but then I thought marrying Aura on her birthday would be best."

He got up and stood next to her. Throwing a hand around her shoulder, Damien picked his phone and flashed some pictures of the arrangements he's done towards the wedding.

"This way I would give her one of the most memorable gifts in life plus I would never forget our anniversary or her birthday since they would fall on one and the same day. It will save me some energy during my busy schedule after marriage and I would never annoy her with my habits of forgetfulness if any." It was thoughtful.

Ginny smiled happily as she went through the pictures. She was satisfied to know that he's picked dresses for themselves. Chosen the church where they would marry in Manhattan and also preplanned a reception party too that would fall on the very day of Aura's birthday cum their wedding day.

"I didn't talk with her regarding this because I wanted to surprise her. You know she will be mind blown to know that we are getting married on her birthday." His face glimmered vibrantly as he spoke of their wedding day.

"Gosh, why did you keep me so concerned all these days, idiot! I thought you would never marry her." Ginny hugged him.

"Stupid woman, I am dying to claim her as mine ever since I saw her years back. How could I never marry her?"

"I am indeed stupid to think that." Ginny moved away.

She went to the other side of the desk to her bag. "What are you doing?" Damien  observed her search through her side purse.

"Something I bought for your baby." Ginny chimed not long before she pulled out a pair of little tiny baby socks of shade peach.

They were cute. Damien's eyes gawked at them with an expression Ginny laughed at. She handed them to him and spoke,

"I bought this for baby Hunter." She chirped. "Initially I thought that I should send them over to you through courier, then I decided that giving them to you myself would be great. I would also get to capture your heavenly expressions. I must say I am proud of my decision." She watched the glow of his face.

The socks were hardly visible in Damien's huge palm. They were… tiny. Like very tiny. Tears flashed in his eyes as he stared at the wool knitted into two little socks. They would fit his fingers.

"Do you like them?" Her eyes surveyed him kindly.

It was difficult but anyhow he peeled his gaze from the tiny creation of wool in his left palm and nodded his head vigorously, "They are… cute. I just love them, Ginny. I can declare this is the best gift anyone has ever purchased for me."

"Purchased?" Ginny dramatically snorted. "For your kind information Alpha Hunter, I bloody knitted them with my own hands." She swung her hands across his eyes to show him.

"Really?" He teased.

"Yes, sir. I knitted them during my trip for the baby and I want you to remember this all your life that I was the very first person to present you something for your pup." She jerked her hair over her shoulder gracefully, causing him to crack up.

Damien pulled her in a hug. The socks crushed under his palm and the softness filled his heart with awe. He could not take his eyes away from them. Undoing his palm, he appraised the wool and a heavy realization dawned on him.

He didn't buy anything for their baby yet!

"How could I be so irresponsible?" Pulling out of the hug, he went over to his laptop.

"I am going to have a baby soon yet I have not purchased anything, Ginny. I am so irresponsible. Erghhh, slap me please."

"I would gladly," Ginny laughed. She watched him surf through several sites and occupy himself with a task she didn't think was important at the moment.

She let him enjoy his moment and quietly slipped out of his cabin without disturbing him with a goodbye.

Here, Alpha Damien surveyed through various brands as though this was a critical job he should have done long ago.

"You didn't remind me either, Hunter. I am so annoyed." He puffed, dragging his wolf. "I am going to have a baby and I didn't care to buy clothes and other stuff."

'You never asked me, Damien.' His wolf replied.

"It is not something I should have asked, Hunter. You should have done it without me asking. Now shut the fuck up and let me concentrate." Damien said while going through available baby products.

He spent two good hours before he picked the best stuff for his baby. From baby cot to clothes, stuffed toys along with the ones working with keys, cute little blankets to cotton caps, baby wipes to swaddle cloth, baby bottles to nursing pillows, infant bathing tub to baby powder… Damien purchased everything.

"This looks perfect. If there's anything else the baby needs, Miss Martha can handle it. I will ask them to deliver it by today itself." He spoke to himself while going through the stuff he bought.

Just then his wolf coughed as he was surveying with him, and remarked,  'Bro, you forgot the diapers.'

" Oh fuck, yeah, how could I!" Damien exclaimed, he immediately tossed the order of several dozens of diapers in the cart too.
