Chapter 55 A plan against the alpha?
55\. A plan against the alpha?
Alpha Damien dashed out of the double door, tears in his eyes, to his car. When he saw Aurora there, he lost tolerance with his feelings. She appeared thin and destitute, as if she needed him.
Only he knew how he kept himself in check, which is why he didn't rush over to help her when she fell. Her entire being screamed that she wanted him. Wanted the warmth of his rough yet protective arms where she belonged. He couldn't watch her like that or forget that she bloody cheated on him with three men, so he twisted around and went, despite the need to grab her in his arms.
"Why did you have to hurt me like that, Aura? Why do you have to hurt us like that?"
He then sat inside his car wanting to close himself away— somewhere away she or her thought wouldn't reach him.
He had not assumed that something like this would happen. Aura would cheat him, who changed the direction of his life for her. Keeping his head on the steering wheel he attempted to breathe normally as he recalled the content of those photos.
He couldn't get over those photos, containing Aurora with three men he believed in.
More than them Damien was angry at her. Crazily furious with her. She could have subdued their allure if she had tried! Rather than conquering them, she got caught in their web.
"Why the hell does it hurt so much?" He asked himself, to which his wolf, Hunter replied.
'Because you loved her more than your destined mate.'
It made him recollect what ended up happening after she passed out.
Flashback....
Alpha Damien rushed Aura to one of his nearest hotels after she fainted. He then summoned a doctor to examine Aura without wasting a second. The doctor quickly arrived and asked Damien to walk out of the room.
Damien was worriedly waiting outside his suite until one of his security team approached him. "Sir, we have a package for you. Someone dropped it at the reception."
"Who was it?" He tried to be calm and sought to unpack the brown small parcel he had in his grip.
He declined in a no as he said, "Unfortunately, no, sir. We couldn't see anyone. It came out of nowhere. But don't worry, we're watching it on CCTV, and this package has been sensor-tested to ensure there's nothing explosive or harmful inside."
"Okay, you may go." Bowing to his alpha, the guard ventured away from the scene.
Damien examined the package received from an unknown source. When he undid the brown paper wrapping from the small package, he acquired an envelope inside, referred to him. He tore open the envelope without thinking and discovered disgusting photos with a note that widened his eyes in utter shock and disbelief.
Dear Alpha, you must be aware of the reality of the woman you are dating. It's always preferable to double-check everything before making a decision..
Regards,
Well wisher.
He looked at the note in disbelief. Who could it be, well wisher? He paused for a moment before returning his gaze to the photographs.
It was Aurora's photos with Rosario, Oscar, and Peter—some of the men he blindly trusted. She was in their arms, suffocating him to the point where he couldn't breathe. Finally, when he got to the last few pictures of Aurora, his eyes bulged out of their holes because Aurora was totally naked with Peter.
He didn't quite believe the photos, but the note he garnered, "You must be aware of the reality of the woman you're dating," was making it very difficult for him.
He was numb. So this was her reality. Her character. With streaming eyes, he peered at the images, unable to believe what he was seeing.
The doctor jolted him back to consciousness. With an odd expression, she stood in front of him. Damien returned her stare and regained his composure. He wanted to ask her— How was she doing? How was his love? But he couldn't find the right words. Not that he had any.
The photographs have left him in a state he couldn't speak. He was unable to talk or explain his sentiments in words as a result of the things he saw captured in the form of pictures for him.
The doctor was the one who started the conversation. "Alpha, S-she'll be OK." She took an unnecessary pause before continuing, lost in deep thoughts. "I-it was tiredness that caused her to pass out. She'll be fine if you give her these medications."
He absent mindedly took the prescription from her hand as the doctor departed. Damien stared at the description while a lonely apprehensive tear strolled down his eye.
Later that night, he returned to his mansion with an unconscious Aurora to place her in her room.
Was there any reason for him to stick with her after what he saw in the photos?
Flashback ended...
"You make me hate innocence itself, Aurora Collins. I wish I never met you. I hate you." He grumbled those words between his tightened jaw.
His hold on the steering amplified until the wheel separated from the main car. Damien glared at it with his twinkling eyes as if it was allowing him to replay the previous event that had taken place. Keeping it down on the seat beside, he exited aggressively.
"I had hoped to have a secure life with a wonderful wife, but she betrayed me." A tear ran down his cheek. He then took his cell phone out of his pocket, accessing his gallery.
"You asked me what role you had in my life while you were busy fucking with those bastards, I hate you. I bloody hate you Aurora Collins." he mumbled, staring at a picture he had taken of Aurora months ago, even before they formed a better connection with one another.
When the glaring didn't help soothe his betrayed heart, he crashed the phone on the windshield aggressively, "I thought you were different from other women. I thought your innocence was obvious and you truly felt for me. I was wrong. I will never forgive you Aurora Collins and will never love you again. I hate you bloody fcking god digger btch." He clutched his jaw so tightly that it could snap if he applied any more pressure.
Then he painfully howled, turning into his wolf, and shot through.
In a room full of menacing silence, Peter snorted angrily.
"What is taking her so long?" He remarked between his gritted teeth while an apprehensively disturbed Ginny sat across from him on a couch.
They were in his mansion at this hour of night. While their faces entertained the expressions of extreme fear, they seemed to be waiting impatiently for someone as if the person was damn important. Their respiration was delayed and slow, every breath coming deep from their chest like a roll of stale wind in a dark deep maze of a mysterious forest having paranormal essence.
"She said she's on her way." Ginny said as she lifted her worried lashes upward to glance at Peter. "She went to her clinic to collect all her important stuff before leaving this city."
"That's exactly why I want to meet her restlessly, bitch! I want to know what unfolded there. I want to know why she failed our plan? I can't be patient at all." Both appeared agitated, as if they had lost a battle.
Just then, a lady entered through the main door. Peter and Ginny both looked at her, and the very next second, Peter compelled her aggressively, taking both of themselves down on the floor as he also gripped her neck in a deathly hold.
"Why btch? What were you thinking when you did that?" Straddling her with his knees on each side of her waist, Peter slapped her across the face.
"Why did you come out against the plan, btch? What compelled you to reveal the truth rather than the falsehood you were expected to tell? Why did you ruin my plan?" Peter screamed and tightened his hold on her neck.
Under his grip, the lady shivered and grasped for air as he choked her windpipe. Alas, there was no escape from his wrath.
He looked mad. Broken. Defeated. His dishevelled face showed his fury of losing an important battle.
"Was it the Alpha's fear? Did that bstard scare you? Speak up, damn it!" Peter dug his nails into her neck, causing tears to stream down her cheeks.
"Let go, Peter. You will kill her, Peter. Release her!" Ginny rushed for the rescue of the lady once she gained her senses.
Her interruption granted the lady a new life for Peter let her go but with aggression. She was thrown across the room by the wall. It was not harmful but the lady coughed badly and touched her neck gently as she attempted to resist the burning pain in her throat while gulping big swallows of air.
"She deserves to die, Ginny. She bloody deserves to die." Peter took a step forward intending to hurt the lady except Ginny caught his arm.
"Why did you change your speech, you bitch? Didn't I give you enough money to make it work!" He shouted.
The lady shivered excessively. Fear of life moistened her eyes again but anyhow she picked herself up, ran a shaky hand across her face to wipe the sheet of sweat, and whispered, "F-forgive me, Mr. Dursley, I wanted to make your plan work b-but lies would have taken us all to hell built under the ground by the alpha in the face of advanced dungeons."
"This whre will die today." Ginny caught on his arm and controlled him before he ventured further.
She wrapped her hands around his shoulders while massaging his nape, "Let her complete first, Peter."
They both glanced at the lady to continue. After a few minutes when the woman perceived that she had their attention, she completed, "I... I couldn't l-lie about her being pr-pregnant with your child because Ms. Aurora is genuinely pregnant— with Alpha's baby."
No sooner did her voice cut the silent air than a current of extreme fear tormented their spines while they moved backwards, plummeting on the couch terribly.
