Chapter 19 Hanging out with naked women!!!!!
19\. Hanging out with naked women!!!!!
'I am afraid to love, and yet I love you.
My fear is like a wall I walk right through.
The wall is there, and yet it doesn’t stop me.
I need it still, and yet I still need you.'
Sharp 9 O' clock, the clouds out there in the sky were dancing a maniac dance. While here in her room, Aurora sat hell disturbed.
In order to kick that hollow feeling of guilt away, she chose to read a collection of love poems by Nicholas Gordon, a poet who penned down one's heart feelings into words.
But it looked like the reading was doing no good either; except for reminding her of him. Aurora was hell disturbed. She was aware that hurt him with her words.
The jab of her sharp words were visible on his face. It stabbed him deep in the heart and she regretted it. She had not assumed it would turn out like that.
Aura really perceived that he was cheating her. Such was his personality. She had seen him date random girls simultaneously without letting them have a hint about it. When Aura saw that message on his phone, she really thought... That... He was cheating her.
"Huh, I can't do it, can I?" She set the book of poems aside and rested her head back on the couch, looking out of the window.
Sweet sound of night insects was starting to erupt in the dark air under the violet sky. She was a lover of stars and admired the union of the moon with them. Aurora was observing them blink down at her when a knock fell on her door, interrupting her tranquil view.
She hissed as she hopped out of the couch. Having adjusted her clothes, she strutted for the door.
When she opened it, "Brian?" she found the beta standing across from her with expressions anything but readable.
"Walk aside," He held her by the elbow and dragged the both of them in the room, and closed the door behind him.
"Aura, did something happen between you and Damien? Like a fight or an argument?" Aura was stunned at the query.
She took a step backward and looked away, struggling to keep her breaths still.
Oh yeah, they had a heated argument on a topic that meant no worth. All thanks to her!
"Uh, Brian," Her lack of accuracy gave him his answer.
Brian slapped his head and looked away, pulling his hair.
"Oh Aura, you have no idea what kind of issue your fight or whatever you guys had between yourselves has called for!" He hissed, exclaiming it extraordinarily.
It clenched her abdomen in a tight knot, making bile travel to her throat, "What is it Brian? Is he okay?"
"He is okay. But his actions," The beta male grumbled, rolling his eyes. "Come I'll show you." he took her to the drawing room, across the big flat television screen.
Brian switched it on and changed the Channel to a news channel. "This happened to him!" He pointed the remote controller at the screen.
"Rather than attending meetings, he is attending stupid parties with ex-girlfriends and females who had shown interest in him."
To say that she was flabbergasted would be not adequate to measure her sentiments. Aurora was feeling more than just jealousy and irritation— because the Alpha who stole her heart was being shot with Ex-girlfriends and other hot women she had seen on the front pages of various magazines.
"He! How dare he?" Her foot slapped the ground, making Brian flinch back in surprise.
All that he ever observed Aurora as was a woman with tranquil as her patron. Anyone who ever saw on her beaming profile was— positivity. It was the first time, in years, she was projecting emotions Brian never thought she ever felt.
"I just misunderstood him for a second and he is punishing me like this. Look at those women, Brian! Their clothes are shorter than my yoga clothes. They are barely covered and.... And look at your Alpha's hand!" Aurora seethed, taking Brian by surprise.
"He is holding her like she is his prized possession. So possessively and tightly."
She swallowed a lump of irritation. It was too hard to look at the screen. So to avoid showing temper more than necessary, she snatched the remote controller from his hold and switched the TV off. The remote controller was thrown on the table where it collided with other objects before stopping at the centre of the platform.
"Uh, I don't think you should take it so personally!" Had he known that his remark would make the ever-so-sweet housekeeper grab him by the collar, he would have thought twice before saying it.
Aura yanked him close. Her teeth ground together as she angrily growled at the beta's mouth, "Not take it personally? Brian Navarro, your Alpha and I..." An unsettling realization struck her, and she paused.
"... Are not in any relationship! He is free to hang out with whoever he wants." She continued it in a soft voice that was supposed to be audible to herself, but Brian caught every syllable she murmured.
He parted his mouth to counter her realization nevertheless when she lifted her velvety eye lashes, a jab of guilt hit him.
"Aura,"
"It's okay Beta Brian, you are right. I must not take it personally. Alpha Damien is free to hang out with any woman he likes." She cut him short while forcing a fake smile.
She didn't want to look like an idiot.
"I will take your leave, Beta Brian. And yeah, I am sure Alpha will get back to work real soon. We all tend to get bored with the monotonous routine of our lives. Excuse me." With that she sprinted away earlier than Brian clarified himself.
"Shit, Damien will kill me if he gets to know I did this." He defeatedly muttered, shutting his eyes feeling miserable.

After Aura retired back to her room, she chose an extreme corner in her chamber to hide in.
Brian's words replayed like a record in her system. He was right. She should not act like that. They were not dating. He was not bound to her, and two nights of raw passion was not enough to define their relationship.
It was CASUAL. Like how every relationship has been in Alpha's life. She was RANDOM too. Like any other woman.
Aurora sniffed, holding her tears back. Her hand went to her stomach to caress her belly. She was feeling her baby. It was there. Not big enough to send her signal, but it was there.
The thoughts of his father made her cry. This baby on the other hand provided her with comfort.
"Looks like the time has come for me to make a move. I should," her heartbeat skipped. What she determined to do was too difficult to execute. But she had to.
That being said, Aurora got up and gulped a deep lump of oxygen. She trudged to her closet and pulled out her baggage whilst completing her statement, "I should resign from his job and incorporate my new journey with my baby— alone and away from him."
She sided her tears and sought to pack her stuff.
