Ray POV

Today was the day that Lunari had agreed to meet with me. He had sent me an address invitation after I told him about Adrien's big secret.

Something that even Adrien wasn’t aware of. Something no one knew of. And something that I could prove was true.

It was why I kept my mouth shut. Cause even saying it to people could cost me my head.

As it would be seen as blasphemy against the alpha Position.

I heard overheard it when I was fifteen. I had visited Adrien in his house. To play with him.

But he wasn’t around. So I decided to wait for him. I walked around the house. And when I got to Adrien’s father's office. Alpha Kent.

I didn’t know it was his father’s office at that time. But I entered and was randomly going through his stuff.

Then I saw the journal that he wrote about his darkest secret.

He talked about how Adrien had been adopted as his wife couldn’t give birth to a child so that he would keep his alpha position. The pack witch had helped Adrien turn into a wolf as a baby.

To convince the pack that Adrien was indeed his son.

Alpha Kent told the pack witch to transfer his powers as the alpha to Adrien.

The pack witch warned him it would shorten his life span if his alpha power were transferred to Adrien.

But Alpha Kent was more focused on extending his legacy. And not being laughed at by people of the pack for not having a son.

So he made the pack witch do the rituals. And Adrien was made a wolf with the powers of Alpha Kent.

However, a few years later Alpha Kent died. He fell ill with some unknown illness.

When I read it, I was so shocked.

I wanted to tell Adrien. But at that moment, I was caught by Alpha Kent Gamma—elder lupus.

And he warned me not to say anything about what I had read.

Then He got rid of the journal. I never knew how. A few years later, he also died.

I didn’t know how useful this information would be for the Lunari.

But I hoped it would make me the next Alpha.

The address that the Lunari sent to me. It was of a club. I stood before it. Accessing it.

It was a massive club with beautiful exterior designs.

The music was booming loudly, and people kept entering the club.

The Lunari had instructed that when I arrived, I would go straight to the bouncers and then tell them a code he had told me.

So I did that.

“Good evening, gentlemen.” I greeted them even though there was nothing gentle about the men. Or the way they were staring at me.

“Show your ticket and get in.” One answered rudely.

“Boss’s Vip.” Those were the words that I was asked to utter.

The men immediately understood it. Their eyes widened in realization. And they bowed their head to greet me properly.

Then they called for one of the call girls. Who gave me some lap dancing?

Then showed me the door that led to a VIP room.

I entered it. The room was dark. With only a single spotlight that illuminated a black curtain. Which stretched out from the floor to the ceilings.

The girl left me. Closing the door behind her, leaving me alone in silence.

There was a seat in front of the curtain. When I went closer, I realized that there was a glass behind the curtain. A covered glass. That no one could see through.

A voice emerged from it. It sounded like an auto-tuned voice. I knew that such a voice couldn’t sound to any mortal being.

“Welcome, Ray.” The voice greeted.

I swallowed hard. Still trying to take in the whole environment.

“Have your seat.” The voice said as a matter of fact.

I looked at the seat. Then, I forced myself to sit in it against my raging fears and anxiety.

I took in a deep breath. “Thank you for agreeing to meet me,” I added. My voice came out more panicked than I wished.

“You must have already guessed the moment you walked into the room. I am Lunari.”

“When you agreed to meet up, I thought I would be privileged to see your face.”

“I have been hidden for quite a while. It will take much more than that to get me to see my face.”

Well. It only made me more curious. But I didn’t ask.

“Now. You said you were going to complete the information you gave me. If I met with you. So spill.”

I sighed. Then, I began telling him everything I knew.

“Wow!” The shock couldn’t go unnoticed by the machine-toned voice.

“How certain are you about this?”

“Very certain.”

There was a long pause.

Before I broke it. “Do you accept for us to work together?” I asked.

But I didn’t get a response.

“This pack witch you mentioned, do you know where she stays.”

“Uhm. Yeah. Why?”

“None of your business. I want her address. Now!”

No way in hell would that happen. It was a bargain. And he hadn’t yet kept to
He's part of it.

“You have to give me a reply.”

“About what.” I could hear the irritation.

“About making me the alpha of the pack. And proof that you are with the flash drive.”

I heard a scoff. “Alright. But to do that, I would need you to get me the address of the pack witch.”

If whoever this Lunari was. I could sure bet that they were not from our pack. Cause the pack witch addresses is what everyone in the pack knew of. And that he didn’t know. It was enough proof of my theory.

“You said you would work with me if I told you what I knew.”

“I said I’ll meet with you.” This sly bastard. I knew that he was purposely twisting the whole word around.

“Well, I’m not giving you the address without getting my requests done.” I knew I was gambling on lots of things.

I could easily be thrown out of here. And never get the help I wanted. But somehow, I had a feeling that the Lunari wouldn’t be able to get to the pack witch without my help.

“I could ask your father for it.” I forgot about my father. I clenched my fists.

“You would still have to fulfill your promise of making him the alpha.”

“No, I don’t. I need to make him believe that I would. And boom, he is telling me everything I need to know you about.”

I groaned inwardly in frustration. This wasn’t going according to plan.

“Would you just please accept my offer?”

“Oh. I only accept offers to people who know their place.”

I felt confused. “What do you mean?”

“You’ve been trying to negotiate. Like we are partners. You are acting like we are equals. Suppose I am to accept you. You need to understand that I am above you, that you answer to me. And that I did you a favor of the hiring you.”

This had me fisting my hands. He wanted me to become one of his slave. I have decided that I hated whoever this Lunari was.

Face or no face.

“You want a slave out of me?”

“Slave is a strong word. But it fits the description.”

No way in hell was that happening. I spent the better years of my life being a slave to Adrien. No way would I make the same mistake.

“I’m good. I’m not going to become your slave.”

“Very well. Please see yourself out. And thanks for the tips.”

I fisted my hands tightly. I had just gotten played. Not only did it cost me my pride. The secret I told him was priceless. And I shared it with him.

And he didn’t even think he could pay me back for it.

I stood up angrily. Storming out of the club.

No freaking way! No freaking-

I hit my car with my legs in colossal force. Trying to exterminate the boiling rage on my insides.

Then I got into the car. I had to do something. I couldn’t let the Lunari get his way so quickly.

Think, think, think. I told myself.

And when it clicked. A smirk spread on my face.

The Lunari obviously couldn’t get to the pack witch without some help.

He asked me. I refused. Then he said he would ask my father.

Well, what if my father wasn’t around to be asked?

What if he suddenly died or went missing?

The smirk spread wider on my face. It was about time I ended the pathetic existence in the form of my father. Just thinking about it made my blood rush with Excitement

But that wouldn’t be enough, for the Lunari can always try getting the information of the pack witch from elsewhere.

So I needed to get to the pack witch before he did.

I need to either kill the pack witch. Or kidnap her to ensure the Lunari doesn’t get a hold of the pack witch.

That way, it would make him rethink his offer of enslaving me; I just hoped the Lunari was eager to know who the pack witch was.

Like he was in the VIP room, suppose finding the pack isn’t important to him. Then my whole plan would be a total failure!

Well, I have to have faith in it. And go ahead with my planning.
