Chapter 94 The Face-Off
Chapter 94
Lyra's POV
“W…who is that?”
The voice erupted from alpha Vexhood's lips. His voice choked struggling to find a balance .
He looked left, right and everywhere.
Then he saw me.
The greenish glow. The greenish emanating from skin couldn't hide me.
He startled. Using his hand to cub his vision to see that if I am kind of ghost or some kinds of gods had descended into the room.
He reached for the switch on the wall close to his bed.
On. Off. On. Off.
The sound came out disappointedly.
No light, the bulb completely disobeyed him.
That was when he knew something was wrong?
Alpha Vexhood turned to me and then asked. “Who are you ?”
No response.
“How do you get in here?”
“You missed your way?”
“I am so sure that you do.”
I didn't respond. Like he was speaking to the air.
Oh! I can see, you want to test vexhood?”
He let out a demonic laughter.
“today mark you end.’
He stood up from the bed. He scampered everywhere. He took his time, He didn't want to collide with any obstacle regardless of how partially dark the room is, inorder to locate where he kept his totem.
alpha Vexhood got to the spot. Shocked painted on his face.
He turned, seethed in anger. His finger pointed at me like a dagger.
“Don't tell me you are with my totem. Don't tell me you came into my house at this hour and barged without knocking.
He wrapped it off with a terrible laughter.
“Then you must be joking. It's me alpha Vexhood. The one that lives among wolves but have his dinner with the gods.
So you came into my house … “
The greenish glow from my skin becomes brighter, a sign that he had been terribly annoying me. The more he display his arrogance and pomposity in front of me. The more anger brewed in me, and light, originates from my skin.
Spreading to the nooks and crannies of the room.
Oh! Is that not my totem in your hand…”
Then he muttered quietly, communicating in spirit.
He jammed his hand together, a white crystalline balls like the moon came out, the air seized, the heat in the room heightened.
Intense breeze, toppling some old furniture and table where the scroll and seal of the dead were kept
Then, with anger he rolled the crystalline at me,
A strong whistling sound moved along with the ball before it could get to me.
A very big emerald armor bounced it back with a great force.
Rapid, exerting and intimidating
It hit Alpha Vexhood with a strong force, bouncing back with a greater force, hitting him against the wall and back to his bed. Splitting his bed is a different part.
Ahh!!”
The word erupted from his mouth. Traveling at a greater distance. Strong enough to jolt everyone from sleep
The crystal ball was so strong that it pressed Alpha Vexhood's body to the floor in between the broken bed frame.
Kraa kaa…
That was some part of his bone being fractured more.
His arm had twisted to his back.
He gasped for breath, his eyes widened, like someone who is about to see his end and death is very close by.
I drew closer to him with intent that the emerald shield had disappeared, leaving the greenish glow.
The glow burned his face more, causing more excruciating pain.
Vexhood Marek Clapperthorn,” I said, his eyes wandered about with the way I called the name. Slowly and deliberately. My father and Jax's father were the only ones who knew Marek, because they were friends.
“Next time, you show up to harm a single soul in the palace to show the world your power drunkenness. Just know that you pray for death to come but it wouldn't show up.”
His eyes narrowed into me. His voice whimpered. Blood flow gushed out from his nose and an injury at the left hand of his face persistently gushing out blood.
He wanted to speak. He wanted to fight. I knew he was a stubborn alpha ready to throw everything for a fight. But his face had said it all he had been decimated.
I drew closer to him, here is your punishment, you will seize to use this totem in this
pack again.
I held the totem with my hand and bent over him.
Then heavy footsteps at the door.
Bang! bang!
