A few hours later.
The day rolled by Ryder was getting ready with a rogue gang to hit the stormfang pack. O
That wasn't my concern at all, all I cared about was him leaving the house to allow me to get my mission started. The maid said she would be coming soon. I have alerted her to wait till Ryder is through and he is out of the house.
Ryder had f…ked me for almost two hours straight. I didn't care at this point anymore, since I knew the truth or half the truth. I didn't bother him again. I just need to play along with someone like him who thinks as if he is intelligent.
The only fear I am having now, is alpha vexhood not knowing what I am about to do now. Because if he should, the next thing is death.
I should have picked my bag to leave for the stormfang pack before him so that it wouldn't look like I had planned treason against alpha Jax reign but at that same time, I needed to wait for alpha Vexhood command to go back to stormfang pack.
This would have been so easy for me had it been that Lyra came along or knows this place. She would have been the one going to and fro the stormfang pack.
I didn't ask Ryder anything about caramel. I had only kept those ivory bracelets well. Something tells me that Caramel used to come here behind me. My instinct never lies.
If she used to come here behind me definitely, a lot of my secret had been spilled out, to Ryder. That I would deal with later but now the Astra is the first in my mind.
I watched as Ryder paced in front of me. Waiting for the signals from his gang. He swirled a cup of dry gin in his hand.
I didn't know any of Ryder's plans to invade Stormfang pack. Candidly speaking I didn't want to… maybe he is invading the Stormfang pack to kill Jax or he is invading it to arrest Jax, lock him up , and take over the administrative structure of the pack.
I don't know and at that point I didn't even care. What was on my mind was the Astra issue. The maid, who had introduced herself as Freya, had promised to give me every information about where Astra lived and her schedule today.
The door suddenly blasted open without knocking,
A heavily built Omega stepped in, his appearance not so frightening, still a little better than those three that came in earlier.
“There is a big problem, my lord,” he said cautiously, struggling to catch his breath, his chest heaved up and down, “Stormfang pack gangs… need money to start mobilising but the report reaching now is that Tiger, Bear and Pain, have not reached them since morning.”
What do you mean by that?” Ryder asked sharply as he closed the distance between himself and the young wolf.
“They left their houses in the morning but sources said they are not in the stormfang pack now.”
So what are you trying to say?” Alpha Ryder asked as he walked slowly to him, "They made away with my money?”
Something close like that my lord, “ the young wolf replied, forcing words out of his mouth. He lowered his head into the ground.
Ahhh….Ahhh!” Alpha Ryder's lips curled into sharp bitter laughter, a kind of laughter laced with meaning. “You are telling me that Tiger, Bear and Pain made away with my money?”
“Something like that my lord,” he said again, bowing down his head, “we checked their rooms but their traces were not found… I think they may have gone far, leaving the borders of this pack travelling too far from this place… where our network could reach.’
Bang!
Ryder launched a hot slap at the young Omega’s check. His body stood rigid to the slap like a metallic statue. His face turned beet red.
He hardly moved an inch. Maybe due to the vigorous training he had experienced.
I blinked not once, not twice.
“You don't tell me that,” Ryder bellowed, gritting his teeth, "I promise to use everything within my capacity to find those idiots,"
" If it is going to my father to find them on the face of the earth…I will…”
Ryder turned to me, his eyes still sharp, voice softer but still tensed, "Rosa, can you just imagine these idiots I am dealing with?"
I didn't respond, I tugged a smile at the corner of my lips and nodded my head. Unlike before, I would care so much. “ If any of these rebels needed money , why can't they come and approach me before this time. But they turned against me when I needed them most…“I will deal with them but not today!”
He paused, drifted to where I sat down on the bed, kissed me on my forehead and pinched my nipples, a familiar but intimate gesture. He dropped the glass cup beside him on a stool, the sound of clinking of it echoed in the room.
Without a word, he stepped outside, shutting the door behind with huge force.
Few minutes later,
A shallow knock on the door.
Come in.”
