Episode 8: Here For A Reason

Gwen.

I am currently facing a serious problem because I don't know how to convince them that I left Ava here, and now she is nowhere to be found!

I have brought them to where I left Ava because their that is becoming toomuch but sadly she was not here.

"I swear! I left her right here in this spot to get help because she's dying," I told Caleb, who was busy looking at me.

"What happened to her then? If she's dying, how did she manage to get away? I mean, where is she since you claim you left her here?" Ariel asked, leaving me confused.

Not only am I sad because I'm in trouble, but I'm also sad because I don't know what might have happened to her.

What could have happened to Ava? I looked around, but there wasn't even a sign to indicate that she ran away.

"Gwen, please calm down and think carefully. Are you sure this is the right place? Are you sure you brought us to the right place?" Samson asked.

"Shut up, Samson! You're always out of the discussion!" I snapped at him.

"Don't play games with me, Gwen! Don't ever think you can outsmart me! It's like Ava didn't tell you much about me! Lead us to where you're keeping her, or you'll live to regret it!" Ariel's voice thundered.

"That's enough, Ariel! Enough, please!" Caleb yelled at her before turning to look at me.

"Gwen, please. Wherever you've kept her, just take care of her for me. But both you and Samson are not expected to return to the pack. You're both cast out now!" Caleb said, and I immediately knelt down.

"Please, I'm telling the truth! I left her, and now I don't know where she is! You can't cast me out in the middle of the night. It's not safe!" I pleaded on my knees, with Samson kneeling beside me.

"So... you knew it wasn't safe out here, and you left Ava all alone here?" Caleb asked.

"I'm sorry! But I had no choice. After all, you're going to kill..." I was still speaking when Caleb interrupted me.

"Hold it right there! That's exactly why you're not coming back, and neither is Samson because he's so foolish," Caleb concluded, then he stretched his hand forward.

"Come on, my luna. The people must have been waiting for us to come and make it official," Caleb said as Ariel took his hand, and they began to walk away.

"Caleb, please! I'm begging you. We have nowhere else to go! Please!" I pleaded with tears, but my pleas fell on deaf ears.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Samson asked.

"Just shut up and let me think," I responded to him.

"Really? I should shut up! And you were the one who involved me in this mess! If you hadn't called me, I wouldn't be here with you!" Samson said, and his words annoyed me deeply.

If he weren't so foolish, he would have understood that he is the cause of both of us being here.

"You're right, Samson! If I hadn't called you, we wouldn't be here. don't forget that you're the cause! I told you to go and call Alpha Zed, but... gosh!" I said as I sat in the corner, feeling frustrated.

"Aruuh!!!" Alpha wolf roars, and there was a crowd cheering from the pack. I knew that Caleb had finally made Ariel his Luna. At last, she won!

Then I lowered my head, thinking about what to do next. What could have happened to Ava? I'm very sure that it must have been some rogues who came for the celebration and found her here, taking her away.

Lost in thought, I remembered that whoever took her couldn't have gone far. In that case, I had to start tracking her. So, I quickly stood up, only to discover that Samson was busy scanning and gazing up at the trees.

"Samson, what are you looking at up there?" I asked as he shrugged his shoulders.

"What else? Trying to see if Ava is hanging on the tree," he responded. I shook my head and began to walk away, with him following me, of course.

"My lady!" I called out with a loud voice, then transformed into my wolf form and began to track her down, just like Samson.

Ava.

Slowly, my eyes opened. My vision was so blurred because it seemed like I had slept for a long time.

The place I was lying felt soft, but I couldn't really tell what it was. The last time I checked, I was lying in the woods.

I slowly cleared my eyes and looked down. I was lying on a bed, and it looked quite expensive.

"Where is this?" I asked myself as I looked around the room. It was so neat and beautiful, with a well-arranged white room filled with fruits.

Then I immediately sat up on the bed and looked at my leg. I was no longer bleeding, and I didn't feel any pain in my stomach anymore. I felt normal and nice. My clothes had been changed.

"Hmm? Am I dreaming again? Am I dead like this?" I murmured as I tried to step down from the bed, but I felt so weak.

"Maybe this isn't a dream? Where am I? Where is Gwen? Gwen!! Gwen!!" I started calling out, and then the door opened, and two ladies rushed in.

"Where am I?" I asked, and one of them looked at the other.

"Go and inform Alpha Dante that she's awake!" She ordered the other, and the ordered left immediately to inform Alpha Dante.

Hearing that statement from her, I was so shocked. Like seriously, I'm inside Dante's Pack? I'm finished!

I became so scared as I climbed back onto the bed out of fear. "You don't have to be scared, ma'am. My name is Ariana, and I was appointed to look after you," the lady said to me.

"Just let me go! You can't use me to get to Caleb! He doesn't care about me!" I said to her because I know that's obviously the reason why they brought me here. Caleb has been Alpha Dante's long-time rival, and it will become even more dangerous now that Caleb has become an Alpha.

They thought I'm his easy target. "Sorry, ma'am, we cannot let you go until you serve your purpose. Please relax yourself. You are not yet strong, and you're pregnant," Ariana said with a smile, making me gaze at her with a serious expression.

"My pregnancy? Are you saying I didn't lose my child, right?" I asked.

"Arruuuh!!" I heard a loud roar that distracted me as I looked down from the fourth floor of the building and saw a beastly Alpha wolf coming after two people with both their hands and legs tied up.

"No, stay away from me! Go away!" the voice screamed continuously, and it sounded like Samson's voice but I wasn't really sure.

I watched in horror as the beast sank its fangs into the boy's neck and sucked his blood, then headed towards the girl.

Looking closer, I discovered that it was Gwen! "No! Stop it! They are my friends! Why are you feeding my friends to a beast?" I yelled at Ariana.

"Sorry, that's no beast! That's Alpha Dante having his meal. You know, everybody from your pack is served as his meal!" Ariana said as I watched with my eyes wide open, tears streaming down my face. I watched him heading towards Gwen.
