Chapter Eighty Eight; My Second Chance.
Miya’s POV
Jason noticed the mood of the room and was kind enough to excuse himself without a word leaving just the two of us.
“Here’s the thing Miya, it really shouldn’t be a big deal if you really want to perform the mating ceremony, you could still be an Alpha and i’d be the Alpha of my pack.
Once we’re mates together, you can stay in your pack two days of the week and spend the rest of the days of the week in Blood pack, Jason is more than happy to go over to the Silver pack and help you look over things while you’re gone”
I thought about what he said and it really wasn’t such a bad idea, but I thought of Jason, would he really feel comfortable around my people?
“Would Jason agree to it?”
“He is my Beta, he’s very loyal to me, of cause he’s willing to do it if it means I get to spend more time with you”
I knew he exaggerated it, but I could accept that answer, so I brought out an envelope from my bag and handed him the paper to sign.
It was a letter of alliance that would bring the two packs together, somehow, I felt that was the best place to start right?
“It’s a letter of alliance, but why are you giving this to me, have we ever talked about alliance?”
This man is very slow I thought.
“Do we have to discuss it before I bring it? You yourself said it, signals were being read Alpha Xavier, so hurry up and sign”
I smiled at him and encouraged him to do it, I knew he wasn’t going to say no. He smiled and took out his pen and signed it.
“Now let’s go, I have a surprise for you”. He held my hand and I follows him.
When we came out of his office, we happen to pass by his secretary, she was talking to someone, and that someone is nobody else but Jason.
They were so close and looked at each other with a fund look that couldn’t be overlooked.
We just waved at them, then Xavier told them to go when they are done, then he took me to a beach front restaurant consisting of only one chair, it was a candle light dinner.
My heart beat increased when I saw the setup, the wind was just right blowing into my face, making my hair fly all over the place giving me a fresh and young fee.
The place was also dark except the candle light fire that gave it a beautiful color, the sky was also bright that day filled with the beautiful stars above the oh sea , together with its reflection, it was even more magnificent.
But that was not even what fascinated me the most, it was when I turned around to appreciate my surrounding, I turned back to suddenly meet him pointing out a ring towards me, he was on one knee.
I gasped with the view, I thought the dinner alone was a wonderful surprise, but I never knew that there would be another heavy surprise other than that.
He actually took the bigger to properly proposed to me, I felt like my heart would explode any moment from now.
“I know that we did not start with a good path, and along the way, I have done many things that would justify your decision to hate me if you would.
But my charm is too hard for you and you couldn’t resist me, I knew it. Yours too, you came into my mind when I chose to hat women, I also hated rogues, but you had to appear at that time and alter all my resolves and make me change my mind.
I don’t know what you did, or when it happened exactly, but somehow, you have found a way to creep into my heart and I couldn’t see myself living without you, haha, I have become accustomed to your crazy lifestyle.

With that, he didn’t even wait for me to reply, say anything or make any decision, but in the end, he just stretched forth his hand, took my fingers and slid the diamond ring in my index finger and slid the ring.
Then he stood up and hugged me. It was when I felt his embrace that I came back to my senses, I really didn’t know what to say, I hugged his back.
“In the future, I am willing to be with you, because even though you think I am your second chance, you are also mine Xavier, so let’s make this work okay, when we do get married, we’ll adopt a kid too?”
I n my Ade this request soiling remembering the days I spent in the orphanages and seeing how close I was to them, besides, I wanted to take care of a child I could call my own.
“We’ll do as you say Miya, you don’t know how happy I am”. He said and kissed me.
Then we ate delicious meals before retiring for the night.
Alpa Xavier’s POV
I didn’t want to do this, but I knew that girls really loved these kind of shit, and if it was the only reason for me to make her happy and accept me, I am willing to do it.
We may not get married immediately, but at least it’s good to know that there’s someone out there who is willing to spend the rest of his life with you.
This time, I dare to ask her to be my second chance, but I silently prayed that this time, she would actually be the one, and that I didn’t make a mistake, or make a fool out of myself if she ends up cheating with me.
I knew she wasn’t like that, she’s different, she wouldn’t really break my heart by choosing another man over me, but in order to protect my heart though, I reminded myself not to be too hard on her, I wanted this to be special, to be different.
And somehow, I know it will be.
