Chapter Eighty Four; Warm Welcoming

Miya’s POV

My heart beat increased the moment we entered the Silver lake pack, I became anxious about what could possibly happen, how they would disgrace me right in front of Xavier, oh it’ll be so disgraceful for me.

But to my greatest surprise, right from the gate, no one stopped me from entering, although they had surprised look on their faces, the pack members would only nod at me whenever I passed any of them.

It seems that they took me as an old acquaintance, but they dare not communicate with me whenever I tried to tell them something.

Even the current Alpha didn’t recognize me or at least he pretended not to because I know it’ll definitely be very hard not to recognize one’s own mate, especially since the mate bond still existed between us.

They were trying to behave very friendly, those liars, they even invited us for lunch, although I think this is partly because of the certain Alpha standing next to me that they did this.

Alpha Xavier seems to be very influential even without trying to do anything, I coulnt help but notice how Creston was walking on ice around him, yet so far, he had not said any other thing aside answering the greeting and saying yes to the meal.

He was even so nice to change his food with my own on the table, I didn’t know why he did that, but when he did, Creston called the omega who served us to bring another plate for me, it kind of made me feel like I was poisoned and would have died if he had t changed it.

Just like that, we all ate launch without saying another words to each other, that was before Kisha Westley came in.

“Well well well, if it isn’t Miya, the Alpha’s daughter turned rogue, what are you doing here, aren’t you banned from the pack?”

I clenched my fist and tried to surprise the anger and annoyance that was building up inside of me. Even though there’s a thick cloud of tension lurking on our heads, so far, everything was going peacefully, I don’t want to immediately change that.

Breath in Miya, breath in”. I told myself as I exhaled. Then I felt a presence behind me, I turned to see Kisha standing very close to me with her nose twitched and moved up and down.

Was she sniffing me?

“Why is it that you no longer smell like a rogue, it seems you’re now taking a good bath, but am not surprised since you’re able to crawl yourself up to that man’s bed, isn’t that the only reason why you could be standing here? What’s his names anyway?”

Now I’ve had enough, to think that Kisha used to be my best friend since childhood, her father had served mine as his Beta.

It used to be a blessing for us that we were born the same day because that means we did everything together, started school together, celebrate birthdays together,go for our dental check up together, we were practically twins from different mothers, everyone used to envy us back then

I thought nothing would ever separate the two of us, oh how wrong I was, time changed us so fast that a man of all things actually did.

Well, since she is the one that went astray without a peg of shame, now is there really any point for me to also hold back against her? After all I’ve tried so hard to remain as calm as possible, but she went so far as sniffing me, if I didn’t correct her, she might get bolder.

What would she do next? Beat me? Even Creston couldn’t. I stood up to send her way a dirty slap but someone beat me to it.

Creston appeared beside her and pulled her to him; “What are you doing honey? Can’t you see we have a guest?”

Yeah that’s right, Creston would only do that because he is aware of the presence of Xavier who by the way had been quietly eating his food all this time.

I guess it was a good thing then that I brought him along with me this time, he is indeed my savior and lucky charm, I couldn't help but wonder where he had been all my life.

But then, the thought of Creston calling her honey, the very same name he used to call me pissed me off, I stood from the table and excused myself.

“I’ll give myself a tour of the Alpha Palace”

I soon saw Ms. Maria, the head omega during my father’s time, I was surprised that she’s still here considering that most palace workers were already replaced.

“Young Miya, you are back, it’s such a pleasure to have you back, did you come to take back your crown?”

“How could you immediately guess Ms. Maria, can you do me a favor and call the Alpha makers to come to the Alpha house? Please don’t let Creston knows.”

“Okay little Miya, even though Creston has been a good leader since he ascended the throne, but you are back and this is your rightful place so you must fight for it!”

“Thank you Ms. Maria, I’ll visit my room now” I smiled at her and headed towards the direction of my room.

“Yes dear, it has been waiting for you”

She said and I wondered what those words meant until I opened my room to see it exactly as I left it, there has not been any changes.

I found it really strange that there had not been any changes, even Kisha didn’t touch my stuff, that’s impressive.

Just as I was looking at the family portrait on the wall of my room, my emotions broke and I started crying, I really missed them all.

“Very beautiful family”. Someone said behind me and then a pair of familiar hands circled my small waist.
