Adrian's POV
I never thought we'd find our mate like this - a hybrid in a cage.
Being twin Alphas of Silver Fang Pack is rare. Everyone expected us to find some super special Luna. We're pushing thirty now - pretty old for unmated Alphas.
But six months ago, we finally felt that connection we'd been waiting for. Fortunately, we were not truly forgotten by the Moon Goddess; she prepared a petite and adorable Luna for us.
Seeing her in that cage was rough. My wolf wanted to break her out right there. If we could, we would rush up and smash that damned cage, then hold our mate and kiss her passionately. But we had to wait, do this right. Then Nathan tried to buy her. Like hell that was happening. One blast of Alpha power shut him up fast.
When our baby girl walked over to us, my wolf got real hungry. I heard the sound of Maxim swallowing. If we could, we would do just that—lick her from head to toe.
But we were afraid of scaring her, so we had to restrain our emotions and just look at her with our eyes. We failed; she still looked very frightened. If anyone from the pack were here, they would probably be shocked at my emotion.
To soothe the sweet cupcake in front of me, I had to explain to her clearly, "You are our mate."
Looking at her lost expression, I figured introductions were in order. "I'm Adrian Silverstone," I kept my voice gentle. "This is my twin brother Maxim. We are werewolves, the Alphas of Silver Fang Pack."
"And you," Maxim gave her his warmest smile, "are our Luna. Our mate."
Eden's eyes went wide. "I... I don't understand."
"We'll explain everything," I promised. "But first, I need to handle some paperwork. Maxim will stay with you."
"Don't worry, little wolf," Maxim winked at her. "I'm the fun twin."
I squeezed her hand before passing her to Maxim. "Keep her safe."
"Always," Maxim shifted her carefully in his arms. "Just hurry up with the snake. I can smell the wolfsbane making her sick."
My jaw clenched at the reminder. Vincent would pay for treating our mate like that. But right now, getting Eden out of here was more important.
"Sign here," Vincent pushed some papers at me.
"You drugged our Luna," my voice could freeze hell. "Kept her in a cage. Like an animal."
Vincent spread his hands, unfazed. "Now, Mr. Silverstone. If anything, you should thank me. Without my... intervention, who knows how long it would have taken to find your mate?"
"Thank you?" Maxim's growl made Vincent's guards step back. "For kidnapping our Luna?"
"I prefer 'expedited fate,'" Vincent's smile didn't reach his eyes. "Besides, she's perfectly fine. Just some standard wolfsbane to keep things... manageable."
I leaned forward. The wood under my fingers cracked. "We'll discuss all of it. Soon."
"Careful with the threats, Mr. Silverstone." Vincent's voice hardened. "Shadow Claw Pack has long memory."
"So do we." I let my eyes shift to wolf. "And you better pray her body doesn't have any issues."
The room temperature kept dropping. Vincent's smile finally slipped.
Our car was waiting outside.
The drive home was quiet. Eden sat between us, tense and silent.
"You okay?" I asked softly. Real smooth, Adrian.
Eden jumped like I'd shocked her. "I... where are we going?"
"Home," Maxim said cheerfully. "Our place. It's pretty nice, you'll see."
"Your place?" Her voice shook a little. "Why?"
I tried to choose my words carefully. "Because you're our mate. Our Luna."
"Mate?" She frowned. "Like... dating?"
Maxim choked back a laugh. I shot him a look.
"More than dating," I explained. "We want you to be our partner. Forever."
Her eyes went wide. "Forever? But you don't even know me!"
"We know enough," Maxim touched her hand gently. "The moon chose you for us. That's all that matters."
"The moon?" She looked even more confused.
"It's... complicated," I admitted. "We'll explain everything. Just give us a chance?"
She bit her lip, thinking. "You're not going to hurt me?"
"Never," we said together.
I said softly. "You're safe now. No one will hurt you."
"Promise?" Her voice was barely a whisper.
"Promise," we said together.
As we drove into the mountains, Maxim kept up a running commentary about everything - the estate, the pack, Eleanor's amazing cooking.
I barely heard him. Couldn't stop watching Eden. Every little movement she made drove me crazy - the way she tucked her hair behind her ear, how she bit her lip when nervous.
My wolf was going insane, wanting to taste those lips, mark that delicate neck. Maxim felt it. We both saw the desire in each other's eyes.
Silver Fang Estate came into view.
"Oh my," Eden whispered. That soft voice sent shivers down our spines. "You live in a castle?"
"Told you it was nice," Maxim grinned.
Eleanor was waiting at the entrance, practically bouncing with excitement. One look at Eden and her whole face lit up.
"Oh, my boys!" She rushed forward. "You finally found her! Look how precious she is!"
"Eleanor," I warned as Eden shrank back.
"Oh! Sorry, dear," Eleanor caught herself. "I'm just so happy. Been taking care of these two since they were pups. Was starting to worry they'd never find their Luna."
"Luna?" Eden whispered to Maxim.
"Like a queen," he whispered back. "But cooler."
"Let's get you settled," Eleanor said warmly. "I've got the moon suite all ready."
The bond between us hummed, demanding completion.
"Time for rest," I said, lifting her carefully. She felt so small in my arms. "Everything else can wait."
The moon suite amazed her. Eden walked around slowly. Every innocent movement made our wolves pace faster.
"This is all... for me?" she asked, fingers trailing over the silver sheets.
Maxim watched her from his chair, his knuckles white on the armrests. He was fighting it too - that urge to claim her right now.
"The whole suite," I managed. My voice came out rough.
She turned to us, frowning. "Are you okay? You both look... strange."
I closed my eyes, trying to steady myself.
"It's the bond," Maxim explained, his voice tight. "Our wolves... they want to connect with you. Badly."
"Connect?" She tilted her head. That exposed neck almost broke my control. "How?"
"Have you..." I had to clear my throat. "Have you ever been with anyone before?"
Her cheeks went pink. "No. Never even dated."
Maxim groaned softly. A virgin. Of course she was. The moon goddess really wanted to test our control.
"Then we'll start slow," I moved closer, letting her feel some of what she did to us. "Very slow."
Her breath caught. "With... a kiss?"
"Yes." I touched her cheek gently. "Just a kiss. For now."
"Unless you want more," Maxim added. Eden's blush deepened.
"I... okay," she whispered. "Show me?"
I grasped her chin, feeling her tremble.
The moment my lips touched hers, her eyes closed. I savored her taste; it was truly sweet. Hunger was my overwhelming sensation.
I devoured her saliva until she couldn't breathe and pushed me away. She took a deep breath, her face flushed, and asked, "Is the bond connected now?"
She was so innocent. "The bond isn't connected like that," I said.
She asked, "Then how?"
Maxim's smile grew more meaningful. I leaned close to her ear and whispered, "When our semem enter your body."
