JUNIPER'S POV:
I know I'm not crazy, but the Internet and ChatGPT seem determined to prove otherwise. For two hours now, I've been deep-diving into endless sites about werewolves, and now, on the twentieth page of search results, I'm halfway to losing my mind.
The page takes its time loading. Frustrated, I scroll straight to the bottom, ready to abandon this futile quest. But then, something catches my eye: "The History of Werewolves in America."
This has to be clickbait, I tell myself, even as I click on it.
Desperation has left me with no other choice. The site opens with an oddly specific narrative listing dates and events about when werewolves supposedly arrived in the United States.
"A portal first opened in Las Vegas. The government called them aliens and tried to take them down, but the werewolves possessed far superior technology. They could teleport using their portals, making it almost impossible to capture them for experiments."
I scroll further until I come across a section describing a mystical land inhabited by werewolves. It gives in details the arrival of the Shadow Pelt Pack, led by the Alpha King Herbert Howler. My curiosity peaks as I spot an image attached to his name. Just as the image starts to load, a groan behind me snaps me back to reality.
"June," Hiram murmurs in a thick voice.
Startled, I slam my laptop shut and slide it onto the floor before turning toward him.
"Yes?" I ask softly, leaning closer to him. He reaches for me, his hand grazing my hip, and I move toward him without hesitation.
"We agreed not to work during this break," he says in a low voice.
"I'm not working," I reply quickly, pressing a playful smile to my lips.
"Just looking at a couple of things on the Internet. I swear." To silence him, I press my body against his.
His strong arms snake around my waist, pulling me close until every inch of me feels his warmth. His hands move slowly, gliding over my back and down to my thighs, tracing gentle circles on my skin. They remain there for a moment before he trails them slowly up, resting on my bare butt.
"I wish I could wake up to this every day," he murmurs in his deep baritone that awakens every nerve in my body. My core muscles tighten as his hands fondle my butt. I reach for his face, cupping it in my hands and tilting it until our lips meet.
The kiss starts soft and slow, but it quickly deepens. His lips part, and he nips at my lower lip, drawing a gasp from me before our tongues meet in a gentle dance.
I climb onto him, straddling his lap, as his hands slide up my thighs, lifting my nightdress. I help him pull it over my head, leaving me bare before him. His eyes darken, roaming over me like it's the first time he's seen me.
"god, you're so beautiful," he breathes as his hands reach for my breasts, cupping them. He fondles them briefly before he sits up.
He leans back against the headboard and wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me closer, allowing his bare chest to meet with my breasts for a moment. His lips find my skin, kissing along my collarbone until his mouth closes over my nipple. A soft moan escapes me, and I throw my hands around his neck, burying my fingers in his hair.
His tongue swirls around my nipples, teasing and arousing me as a fire builds low in my belly. I grind against him; the friction stoking the flames inside me. His hands grip my hips, guiding my movements, and I feel him getting hard underneath me. It's like his dick is begging to be set free.
With a low groan, he pulls away. I meet his gaze, my breathing uneven, as I reach down between us. My hands work at the drawstring of his pants, fumbling it with urgency. He lifts me just enough to slide his pants down, freeing himself.
He shifts, lifting me again, and positions me above him. Slowly, he lowers me onto his length; the sensation pulling a shuddering gasp from my lips as my body adjusts to him.
"Fuck," I whisper, burying my face in his neck, my hands gripping his shoulders. Hiram's hands grip my waist as he moves inside me with a deep, deliberate rhythm that sets my body alight.
His gaze never leaves mine, his dark eyes filled with hunger, stealing what little breath I have left.
"I need you," he groans, his movements growing faster. "All of you. Always."
"I'm yours, and I love giving myself to you." The words seem to ignite something in him.
His grip tightens as he lifts me slightly, guiding me to meet his thrusts. My nails dig into his shoulders, and I let out a soft moan, lost in the way he fills me so completely.
"You feel so perfect," he murmurs, his lips brushing against my jaw, trailing down to the sensitive skin of my neck. He shifts, his arms wrapping around my back to hold me closer as he quickens his pace. I match his movements, my body moving with his desperately.
"Say it again," he murmurs against my lips, his voice strained and full of need.
"I'm yours," I whisper, my voice shaking as pleasure builds higher and higher. "Completely yours." I clutch him harder and desperately, with my hands tangling in his hair, as he drives me closer to the edge.
Soon, he gives a shuddered grunt as my name spills from his lips, causing a surge of pleasant emotions that make my legs wobble.
"Fuck!" he groans, lifting me as his cum spills out. Then I watch the look of ecstasy on his face as he tries to drain out the feeling of his release. This alone sends me spiraling into orgasm as I feel every muscle in my core tighten, and I let out labored breathing, collapsing into him.
HIRAM'S POV:
When we have both exhausted the feeling in our guts, Juniper pulls her head away from my chest, allowing me to look at her face. Her face is a mess, with loose strands of her hair covering it. A smile forms on my face.
"I am good at my job," I say, and she rolls her eyes, getting off me. "You should freshen up, and I will clean up."
She nods at my words, then she gets out of bed through the other end. She picks up her laptop, placing it on the bed, and I watch her walk to the closet to grab a towel, which she wraps around her body.
I get out of bed at once, grabbing the wipes on the table and wiping myself off while she gets into the bathroom. Halfway through cleaning, I hear her thoughts.
"I need to find out more about these werewolves, and I cannot imagine them being amongst us. Hiram will think I am crazy if I tell him about it." My mind calms a bit, knowing she doesn't think I am a werewolf, but that isn't enough.
I toss the wipes in the bin, then I rush to the bed, pulling open her laptop. My blood dries up momentarily as I see an image of one of my ancestors, Herbert Howler.
Fuck! If she finds out, then I am dead, I say to myself, quickly scrolling down the website to see if I spot a number or an email. Then I notice a number in the corner. Memorizing it, I pull out my phone, typing the number in, then I shut the laptop. I walk out of the bedroom at once, making my way down the hallway as I dial the number.
"Hello," a male responds. "I am calling about an article that was written on the history of werewolves," I say in a stern voice.
"You saw it? It's like the government tries to keep my work hidden, and they are not even trying to compensate me. Well, bro, I am glad you did, and I hope you have been informed, so keep your eyes open for…"
"Take the website down now, and I will give you half a million dollars," I say to him, and he keeps mute for a while.
"Do you work for the government or something?"
"Do we have a deal?" I ask, and he scoffs.
"Sure, bro, whatever," he says flatly, then he goes ahead to call out his details, which I note.
"It will be down in a few minutes," he says, and I end the call. I send his details to Winston, who gets the job done, then I place a call to Alex.
"I need your help again." She groans as I say this.
"You might have to start paying for my services," she starts, but there is no room to make a joke. I am hanging by a thread. "So, what do you want me to do to the girl now?"
"I do not know, but she is researching werewolves, and I saw Herbert's face on her laptop. His picture is in my house, Alex. She is smart, and…"
"Chill. Did she eat the cookies?" I pause when she questions, then I mouth a "no."
"Keep playing with fire, Hiram, and one day, you will find what you are looking for. It is either you tell her, or you keep hanging by a thread because she will find out one day, especially when you do not do the things I ask."
I am about to respond when I hear June groan.
"What the fuck!"
I cut the call at once, rushing to the room to see her tapping on her laptop frantically, and I know the job has been done..
