36; That night

I stood beside him, my legs were tired from standing here too long yet he made no attempt to offer me the available sit beside me and he was the one that had said I should entertain him.

“Aren’t you going to offer her a seat, son?” his father questioned, letting me know he had a little bit of decency in him, unlike his son.

“My bad, sit down Freya” He dragged the chair closer to his side and dragged me down to sit. My heart was like a wild animal beating against a cage my rib had formed. I felt the feeling he was going to hurt me without any bit of consideration. He looked like the kind of person a mother would advise the child to run away from.

“So Freya What is your relationship with alpha Oliver?” his father asked, I knew from the moment right then they had sat me down not to accompany him but they wanted me to serve as an intermediary between them and Oliver.

“I take care of his grandma” I answered shortly, keeping my replies short to prevent the extension of the conversation. I felt so uncomfortable around them and in this close proximity with Will. It made my skin crawl so badly.

“So you guys aren’t together?” Will asked muttering under his breath like that was the normal volume he wanted me to hear.

“Yes, we aren’t, as you say he has a fiancé” I spat out with disgust.

“You don’t seem too happy about that” he smirked. Was I that much of an open book he was able to read me so easily? I thought I didn’t let his hold over me, but I guess I was wrong. It was showing clearly as much as I tried not to.

“I am, I am just his employee” I mumbled, Clara showed up right there carrying the order in a tray. An employee assisted her in bringing it.

She dropped it on the table assembling the tumblers, Will looked around the table before looking at Clara “You didn’t bring one for my date?” he quipped. Was this what it was to him? A date? How delusional could he be?

I felt suffocated being here, it was like I was a fool for his entertainment for him to use me in any way he wanted.

I adjusted my butt on the sit as the ache in sitting for too long increased. I wanted to turn back and maybe ask Celine for a distraction so I could run out of there and never look back. I hated the feel of his voice on my skin, he had leaned even close than he did last time. His breath was on my skin.

I looked down at the muffin, it felt appealing. He raised one to his lip and bit off it moaning loudly.

I swallowed down my saliva “Want one?” He turned the place he had eaten and placed it to my lips “Open up” he sang. I closed my lips tightly refusing to bite off from the place that he had bitten off from.

It seemed the one above heard my prayer as Celine rushed towards me with her phone in her hands “Sorry to disrupt your date but the phone is for Freya”

I stood up “Hurry up back” he blew a kiss my way. Like I would. I was going to stay there till I feel they had already left this place.

“Sure” I faked a smile and snatched the phone from Freya in a hurry to get out of his sight.

I opened the door to the toilet and rushed inside. The ladies in the toilet were watching the video of Oliver announcing his engagement gushing about how cute he was. But what concerned me was whoever had posted the video said something about him coming there with a date. No doubt my picture was attached to the video. They raised their head as their gaze snapped at me.

“I think she is the one” one of them muttered, she had sandy bob hair and it was curly they were older than me from the slight wrinkle on their fore Head making it clear they were typically like all older women.

Gossiping about with nothing to do, no surprises there.

I stood rooting in my spot as they tried to figure me out. They were of course detecting stories in their head of how the relationship between I am Oliver had ended when there was in fact no relationship at all. I was just a girl paid to be an escort to him. I deserve whatever rumors they were going to press about me. They had seen the girl that was left stranded by Oliver working at a diner. Looking on the brighter side I was going to get a raise from bringing in customers. Even though they may have just stepped foot to confirm if I was indeed how they claimed me to look.

“What are you—“Celine cut herself short for the statement she was about to say as she set eyes on the women and their phone in their hands. I was the remainder of the pain from that night. The pain of not being chosen

Seeing as I was about to break down, Celine ushered them out “This is a toilet, not a place you should feed your damn curiosity. Please get the hell out” she yelled. She didn’t care they were older than her but the activity they were participating in.

“You have no manners girl,” a black lady said, she looked the oldest among the three.

“Say the lady gossiping about someone and gushing over a man old enough to be her son” she spat back.

Her mouth opened and closed gaping at Celine, and the words she had said to her, but Celine didn’t give a fuck she never does.

“Mannerless kids of the generation,” the first to sight me said shaking her head at Celine,

“Thank you, now out” the women scurried out. I was so thankful to her for fighting in my stead when I just stood there allowing them to feed their curiosity.
