Life in Denver with Constance became an intense period of learning for me. Day after day, she dedicated herself to teaching me everything she could about the human world. Reading and writing became constant allies, as well as the basic notions of how human society functioned.
Constance opened the doors to a world of knowledge that, as a werewolf, I had never imagined. She guided me through the intricate paths of money, public transportation, and even culinary skills. Her eyes gleamed with pride as I absorbed each lesson.
“You're incredibly smart, Fierce. You've learned everything so quickly!” exclaimed Constance with enthusiasm.
What Constance didn't know was that my werewolf abilities played a crucial role in my rapid assimilation of knowledge. My agile and sharp mind allowed me to absorb information surprisingly fast. Despite not revealing this detail to Constance, I used my abilities to ensure that our coexistence was as smooth as possible.
However, as I adapted to human life, a complication was rapidly growing in my belly. My werewolf pregnancy, progressing at an extraordinary speed. Every week, my belly grew surprisingly, and Constance, as well as Dr. Ben Wilson, was perplexed by the rapid development.
Dr. Ben Wilson's office was filled with the comforting sound of the fetal heart monitor. Constance and I watched the images on the screen, eager to see the little signs of life moving inside me. Each week, the belly's growth seemed to defy any logical explanation, intriguing the doctor.
“This is absolutely extraordinary, Fierce,” said Dr. Ben, his eyes examining the monitor. “Based on the size of the babies, I would say you're entering the twentieth week. However, the development indicates that you're in the thirty-fourth week. This is unusual.”
Constance, by my side, was also wide-eyed, unable to comprehend what was happening. “How is this possible, Dr. Ben? It looks like she's been pregnant for months.”
Constance looked at me with a mix of surprise and concern. I tried to stay calm and disguise, suggesting, “Maybe the machine is malfunctioning.”
Dr. Ben raised a skeptical eyebrow but accepted the possibility. “It's a possibility, but I've never seen anything like this. I want you to come back next week, Fierce. We need to monitor this closely.”
I nodded, agreeing with the doctor's recommendation, while Constance still tried to absorb the extraordinary turn in our journey. On leaving the office, she looked at me with concern in her eyes.
“Fierce, what's happening? How is this possible?”
I smiled, trying to reassure her. “Constance, I... well, maybe it's just one of those mysteries that life throws at us. The only thing we can do is trust Dr. Ben and see how things unfold.”
And so, we returned home, carrying the weight of uncertainty and the wonder of a pregnancy that defied all expectations. As the weeks passed, I knew that the moment of birth was rapidly approaching, and I needed to find a way to reveal the truth about my werewolf nature to Constance before it was too late.

Upon arriving home, I knew something was wrong. Constance put away her bag while I tried to hide the pain in my leg and the restlessness within me. I took off my coat, revealing my protruding belly under the yellow dress. Constance, with a discerning look, noticed something unusual.
Her face showed concern as she declared, “Something is happening, Fierce. You need to be honest with me.”
I turned to face her, trying to hide my true form, and asked, “What do you mean?” A palpable tension filled the air, and I felt like a cornered beast.
“Dr. Ben's machine doesn't seem broken, and I want to know what you're hiding from me,” Constance asserted, her firmness revealing the determination to uncover the truth.
I tried to deny it, but her words were like claws, impossible to escape. “I'm not hiding anything,” I murmured, knowing that the truth would soon come to light.
Constance, not fooled, retorted, “I welcomed you into my home with an open heart, Fierce. I expect, at the very least, that you reciprocate with the truth.”
Aware that I could no longer postpone the inevitable, I responded cautiously, “Maybe you won't handle the truth well, and knowing might even put you in danger.”
Constance, without hesitation, asserted firmly, “If I've welcomed a stranger into my home, I'm not afraid. There's nothing else in this world that can surprise me.”
I faced Constance and, resigned, agreed, “Alright, come with me to the backyard.” In the living room, I took off the dress and shoes and went to the backyard, followed by Constance, who picked up my things from the living room floor without understanding anything.
I faced the backyard fences, took a deep breath, and when I felt none of the neighbors were home, I turned my gaze to Constance. A tense silence hung between us as she anxiously waited to understand what I was about to show.
“So tell me, Fierce. What's happening?” Constance seemed both anxious and brave.
“Constance, I'm going to reveal something that may seem frightening, but it's the truth you deserve to know.” My words were calm but laden with seriousness.
Without further ado, I initiated the transformation. My body contorted, black fur emerged, and in a matter of seconds, I was an imposing wolf before Constance.
“That's not possible...” Constance whispered.
Constance took a step back, but her expression was more surprised than fearful. She observed every detail of my lupine form, and surprisingly, her face showed more fascination than terror. Her eyes followed the transformation, and I, now as a wolf, maintained eye contact to assure her that I was still the same Fierce.
I softly howled, conveying a mix of feelings, from the inherent strength of my nature to the vulnerability I shared with Constance.
“You're a... a werewolf?” Constance murmured, her eyes wide.
I nodded, knowing that I could no longer hide my true nature.
“This is incredible,” she murmured, a mixture of awe and fear in her voice. “You're really a werewolf.”
I nodded, observing Constance's reaction. The truth was before her, and I hoped she could handle the revelation of the existence of beings like me.
“I understand now why things are so... unusual,” continued Constance, looking at my huge belly while I remained in my lupine form. “And this has something to do with the accelerated pregnancy, doesn't it?”
Nodding, I let my wolf communicate with Constance. No words were necessary, just mutual understanding. She watched as I moved, revealing the grandiosity of the belly that housed the triplets, now protected by a lush fur.
“It seems my life just got even more interesting,” Constance commented, smiling shrewdly. “I wouldn't be a good nurse if I didn't try to understand the extraordinary, right?”
She approached and stroked my black fur, as if to ensure that everything was real. “Fierce, you are welcome in my home, no matter what. I'm not afraid.”
I returned to my human form, retrieving the dress and shoes I had left behind. Facing Constance, I thanked her for her understanding and patience.
“You're the first person I've revealed this to,” I confessed. “And it's a great relief to have someone by my side who can understand.”
“That's incredible,” Constance whispered, seeming more fascinated than frightened. “Can you do that anytime?”
“Yes, it's part of who we are,” I explained, dressing again. “Now you understand why I hesitated to share this with you.”
Constance nodded, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder. “No matter how extraordinary, Fierce, we're in this together. It's not every day someone has a werewolf pregnant with triplets as a friend.”
We smiled at each other, knowing that we would face unique challenges, but now, at least, I was no longer alone.

The day turned into night as Constance and I continued on the living room couch. I told Constance everything, my entire journey to that point, about the pack while Constance remained silent throughout the moment, and I could see the gears in her mind turning as she processed the situation.
She recoiled, but her eyes retained the curious gleam. “You and Hunter... are werewolves?”
“Yes, Hunter will be the next Alpha of the pack. Our story is complicated, but he chose another as his Luna, and now I'm here.”
Constance's eyes narrowed, her expression shifting between surprise and understanding. “So, this accelerated pregnancy, the way you're growing... all of this is because of your supernatural nature?”
“Yes,” I replied, awkwardly. “Werewolves' gestation is different, and these babies are developing rapidly. I don't know what to expect, but I wanted to protect you, Constance. You've been kind to me, and I feared that knowing the truth might put you in danger.”
“I... I'm not sure how to deal with this, but you're pregnant with triplets and a werewolf. I never thought I'd have a day like this. It's like that movie about the girl who liked vampires and werewolves that we watched last night,” she finally said, mixing surprise with a touch of humor.
“Yeah, but that was just a movie. I'm real, and I understand it might be hard to accept, Constance. But I want you to know that I pose no threat to you or your home. I just wanted to protect you and my children,” I said sincerely.
Constance nodded slowly. “I realize that now. Let's face this together, Fierce. It's not every day someone has a werewolf pregnant with triplets as a friend.”
We smiled at each other, knowing we would face unique challenges, but now, at least, I wasn't alone.
